**PLEASE READ FULL REVIEW** I visited this morning for it's…read moregrand opening (Bleecker St Utica, NY) and was disappointed before I got in the door as I was brushed aside BY an employee in a suit, a higher up no doubt, which makes it worse(though to be fair it was a madhouse). There were a couple of less than desirable encounters with employees BUT after saying so when asked about my experience, the manager more than made up for it. There were in fact many awesome employees, don't take away a negative outcome from this review, please. I'm sure after the dust settles they will no doubt weed out those who don't measure up, so after being shown that I DO in fact matter, I will definitely shop there again, and often. Decent, or even great, prices are only half of a shopping experience, the other is customer service. And when I voiced that mine was one that may cause me to not return, two employees and two managers came to change that, and they for sure did.

Located way down on the left hand side of the center, it is not to be missed! Heartsome Handicrafts is a store that showcases various local crafters. They have everything you could imagine and more. It is like a year round craft show! The prices are so reasonable and the owner herself is a crafter. She is friendly and knowledgeable not only of her products, but of all of her crafters as well! If you see something you like but might be interested in a different customization many of the crafters are able to do so! My pawprint heart was made just for me! I also commissioned a wood portrait of one of my dogs that came out stunning. In the future I hopefully look forward to having a wool husky made from a picture of my other dog. All these things I probably wouldn't have been able to afford elsewhere. So many items are unique and for sure not just the same old things you see at fair after fair. Our experience was beyond excellent. One of the women who spoke the most English took excellent care of me through all of my questions and helped with recommendations. She also introduced us to other excellent choices. When I went back in to buy additional desserts, she sent me out with the most wonderful hot pastry to share with my husband, at no cost. The store itself has many types of foods you cannot find any place else including pork tongue. So love this place. I am definitely addicted. I go multiple times a week to see what new items…read morethey get in. Hesitant about even writing this review as this is truly a hidden gem. Prices on many items are cheap and a great value though word of caution do compare prices as some items may not be a great Deal. For me the items that are the greatest value are their, fresh flowers, ice cream products,and snack items. I always leave with something and have had the opportunity to try new products at an inexpensive price point. Word of caution some products are slightly expired noticed this more with dairy items so do check expiration dates. For the most part items are current and they do guarantee the food they sell. Staff here are so friendly it makes going to the grocery store pleasant. They give plastic bags for free which in NY most stores charge for bags. Parking and shopping carts can be a challenge during peak shopping hours. Highly recommend this store
