We scheduled a surgery with Foothills Surgery Center, they have nowhere that you can leave reviews (I wonder why!). I was told we needed $400 before the surgery. Yesterday, I received a text stating that I had to come up with $3000 or my kid couldn't have his surgery. I called the surgery center, and they gave me options that I still could not afford. I asked for a monthly payment plan, and they refused. They either needed the $3k in full, $2500 plus additional monthly payments, or $1500 or more in monthly payments. I don't have that kind of cash! Their last option was CareCredit. I am not opening a credit card to pay interest on medical procedures; that is ridiculous. They canceled my surgery and refused to speak to me further. Boulder ENT then called me and told me that the surgery center is "not a charity". I wasn't asking for anything for free, I was asking for a payment plan that fits my budget and doesn't involve interest. The rep I spoke to told me, "Here is a name of a doctor, I have nothing else for you." Beware if you book here because Boulder ENT and Foothills Surgery center only care about money, not the health of patients. I'm pretty sure that them giving me a payment plan that fits my budget wouldn't hurt their pockets. And they do not care that they are hurting my pockets. This isn't about patient health anymore; this is only about money. I thought Doctors take an oath to do no harm!

When I showed up for my hearing assessment, we realized my insurance would no longer cover her as a hearing-aid provider -- only the test was covered. She recommended I actually cancel the appointment, even though I was already there, so that I could get my hearing assessed by the same provider who would eventually supply the aid. I ended up staying for the assessment. But I was impressed she would recommend me going elsewhere even at a cost to herself. Dr. Meg knows a lot both about assistive technology and the ins and outs of insurance. She shared several helpful resources with me after our visit. Definitely recommend.

The company said this "had never happened before." They replaced them with minimal hassle. Since riding season was over in October last year I didn't use them again till 2014. On a local motorcycle trip the new pair did the exact same thing. This time the company told me they found out that the company that manufactured the cord was to blame. Again, they offered to replace it, but not pay the postage. They stated the new cord was much better. I asked if I could check it out at Sturgis first. They were willing to do this. The salesman bragged about how great the new cord was and how much more durable it was. I took it out of the bag and in less than two seconds I was able pull it apart at the volume/skip/microphone part with no effort. Needless to say, I asked for a full refund. The salesman had absolutely nothing to say regarding the "quality" of this cord. I believe the ear plug part itself is probably of good quality but warn people to buy it if has the cord. Perhaps see if they will mold your earbuds into them. The company was easy to work with, emailed me back promptly and were professional. If they ever contract with a company that makes a decent cord, I would purchase another pair.
