Ollie is all healed up! Thank you family veterinary
    Gabriela S.

Had such a great experience! Dr. Shukhman and all the staff at Family Veterinary were so kind. My boyfriend and I were nervous about our pup getting neutered, but we knew Ollie was in good hands.

My partner and I have been looking for affordable places to get our kittens spayed at. I stumbled across this one and couldn't be more grateful. We brought our kittens Hazy and Hoppy in yesterday to get spayed and the process was easy, fast, and the staff was incredibly kind, reassuring, and respectful. I wish I could remember his name exactly I believe it was a vet tech named Mauricio who explained all of what the aftercare process would look like which was so so helpful. Our kittens are recovering happily now and we are so so grateful that we had such a wonderful experience while still being able to save some money. I would highly recommend getting your cats spayed here!

I'm so happy with the service! I used this veterinarian for my dog's dental cleaning and I was really worried because she's older and her teeth were pretty bad. He explained the whole process and fees ahead of time over the phone and on the day of the appointment showed up early and the whole thing took about an hour! He's really good about calling throughout the appointment and explaining everything he does and charges you for. I was very surprised my dog was able to keep all her teeth and they look great! 100 percent will be using him again. To address other reviews, yes he probably is a bit pricey but he comes to you! In addition, he explains the cost of everything and doesn't make you feel like you're getting robbed (which I've felt before after leaving the vet). Thank you guys, Peanut is really happy with her pearly whites!

Dr. Shukman is a wonderful caring vet. He does our mobile spay/neuter clinics. I run a nonprofit cat rescue in LA.We have been spaying and between between 50-100 cats for over a year now thanks to Dr. Shukman and his team. Thanks to Dr. Shukman thousands of unwanted kittens will not be born to suffer and die on the streets. Dr, Shukman truly cares about animals and their well being and he is one of the few extraordinary vets that knows how important spaying and neutering is and because of him we are able to help so many cats and people . Thank you Dr. Shukman. The work you do is invaluable. The world needs more caring veterinarians like you! You are a credit to your profession. https://youtu.be/OXeuagB-jT8.

Every time I have come here it's been an amazing experience. The staff is so accommodating and the customer service is next level. It's is the most affordable vet, and yet they treat their animals and clients better than the expensive ones. They go out of their way to squeeze in appointments, accommodate schedules, and give my dog the best care possible. Thank you

First I want to start by saying that they did spayed my dog and my issue is not about the work they did with my dog (Husky) . That being said be careful with possible UNEXPECTED FEES. I'm low income and due to covid it was difficult for me to find a place where I could spay my dog at Low Cost. I was able to get a voucher that would help me in that regard and I made an appointment here which cost $40 to start with which I was okay with because the voucher only covers the surgery and the $40 was going to the extra materials like a cone and such. My problem starts the day of the appointment when they had my dog. I get a call from one of the vets telling me that I had to give them an EXTRA $100 because according to them my dog had a little extra fat on the area they were working on and they had to use "Extra Materials" I've attached a few pictures so you could see for yourself and judge if my dog had extra fat. I've taken all my dogs to get spayed or neutered and I've never heard of such a thing. (Including a Saint Bernard) The thing is, my dog was already on the surgery table and it took me months to get an appointment so I agreed to give them the EXTRA $100 And The thing that really bothered me and felt like I was being Extorted The vet on the phone INSISTED FOR ME TO PAY THEM IN CASH! for all I know the vet just pocketed the money for himself.

I highly recommend this business they neutered my lionhead bunny earlier this year and I would say that they did a fine job! They gave pain meds and I would say the healing went superb. I will be coming back in the future to get my next bunny spayed. Key points are: Affordable prices Kind Vets And a great system from scheduling to pick up it went very smooth. Thank you!

I found this place online and after reading all the amazing reviews, I couldn't agree more. I spayed my cat 2 weeks ago and she recovered so fast with no problem . I would highly recommend bringing your pets here.

Rest in peace mama Gucci we love and miss you so much

This review is for my beloved dog Gucci who was sick with cancer and needed to be put down. I had reached out for their services to have my dog euthanized at home because she was in so much pain and could not be brought to a facility to be put down, I had been referred to them by a friend so I was confident I had chosen the right person for the job. I was concerned on the process as anyone would be when it comes to a situation like this I was told there would be two injections one that will pretty much knock her unconscious and the second to end it all. To my surprise, the first injection made her jump in agonizing pain while I had to hold her until she became lifeless in my arms all I can say was I'm so sorry, sweetie. We love you. You can only imagine what i was going through at that moment this is my first time putting a dog down and had no idea what to expect. This is something no one should ever have to go through. Then she was taken away to his truck to finish the job in private. He had the nerve to say "that woke her up " as if that was something nice to say maybe it's just another day in the office for this man either way no one should have to throught something like this but that's life. Sorry, I'm not sorry for the bad review but we should find a better way to do things in the future and just be more transparent with the client that this can be very uncomfortable for dog and for the client to be a part of. We all love our pets and my dog did not deserve to go through something like this. If there's something to learn from this, let's learn that death is never a easy subject. May her sweet soul rest in peace. I know she's not suffering anymore. We love and miss her so much. In loving memory of Gucci 10/20/2014 - 6/18/2024

When I got there, vet techs were waiting for me. Some of them took her back, and one took my story on what happened, and her symptoms. I had to call Pet Poison Line so they could tell the vets how to treat her-that's fine-and they wanted to do a full workup on her since she is 12. I said that's fine, that's what insurance is for. It was about 11pm when I was sent home to rest while they took care of her. At about two, they called me to tell me that she survived the nightshade poisoning, but they had found a thicker spot in her intestines in the x-ray, and they wanted to do follow-up images in the morning, so I got another estimate for them to keep her til the next day and run another round of x-rays and do an ultrasound. She stayed and I went back to sleep. In the morning, a very kind vet whose name I don't remember called me and went over what is happening and why that spot could be there. She gave me advice on how to proceed after today. She asked what food my cat eats so they could give it to her there too. I was kept in the loop the whole time from when I got there to when I picked her up at 4:30pm. It set me back about $3500. Thank God for pet insurance. But considering all they did and the overnight stay, not terrible. My cat's idiocy may have saved her bacon if we caught something early, but so did True Care's thoroughness.
