Not only was there plenty of equipment in good working order and the place was clean, two employees were there to offer immediate assistance with all my needs (like purchasing the green cash card for the first time and deciding which machine was the best to use for my load). The washer and especially the dryers work FAST -- I got in & out in less time than I expected. I will definitely go back for big loads like winter comforters, etc.! So glad that this is my neighborhood laundry mat -- just 5 minutes from nearby Havertown and Wynnewood. Excellent convenience and community. read more

Sold my House in Suburgatory and at this stage of my life I decided to move into apartment. It wound up being an older apartment without a washer dryer so i Needed to do my wash and I found Family wash day. I've been very happy the last 10 months. I started out by just doing my wash by myself but then when winter came it was a hassle to lug it back-and-forth so I took a vantage of the wash and fold service which is very reasonably priced and slightly cheaper than surrounding towns. You drop your clothes off, pay the per pound price and they call you in a couple days to come pick it up. Every single thing is Professionally folded and ready to go into your drawers at home. If you bring in a blouse or shirt they hang it securely on a fresh hanger. Every time I pick up my wash the neatly folded clothes are in my laundry bag and securely closed. They think of everything here. Note: If you're doing your wash by yourself COVID-19 safe guards are in place. Give this place a shot. I promise you won't be disappointed. read more

I drive past at least 3 other laundromats before I get to family wash day. Here's why..there prices are cheaper and the place is always clean. The employees are always cleaning or repairing something in bldg. You never see them just chilling on their phones or doing nothing. They are also very helpful if you need anything. read more

After the business was sold, the new owners don't provide drop off service. That was the only reason for me to use this laundromat.

Used to be 24 hours but that's changed so now everyone's trying to use the laundry at the same time. Half of the dryers are broken. Most of the laundry baskets are being used by the staff so you have to wait 20 minutes for a basket. The washers freeze like mine did tonight so I had to take my soaking wet clothes out and restart them which delayed me leaving. The attitude from some of the staff is atrocious. I understand being overworked but as a customer who's just trying to wash and leave your attitude doesn't help. Wouldn't recommend on weekends or evenings. All the dryers with stickers on them are out of order. I'm moving soon and am trying to wait until I move to replace my washer but this isn't making it easy. For the most part it's clean and they have WiFi. So that's a plus. read more

I enjoy this laundry spot. I enjoy having the luxury of washing all of my clothes at once and folding them. The task of putting them away is another conversation but I enjoy that everything is washed at once. The staff have been helpful and I enjoy the use of the laundry card. Have come here a few times to wash large bedding, comforters, mattress covers. The signage and on-site guidance could be better but the system is easy once you understand it. You purchase one of the establishment's plastic cards loaded with money to operate the washers and dryers. The washers are more expensive than the dryers but everything seems to work well. It's open 24/7, was here once in late morning and once in mid-evening. It's well lit and it was safe. Parking lot right in front, no problem finding a space. read more

I've used the drop off wash & fold service several times. The turn around is pretty quick (a day or two even if I tell them there's no rush.) The items come back clean, neatly folded/hung on hangers and dry (I've been to places that don't thoroughly dry the laundry before folding it.) The pricing is completely reasonable, the drop-off and pick-up process is easy, the employees are conscientious and polite. I've personally used the machines, too. The washing machines are effective & reasonably priced, but the dryers I used were took forever and, therefore, were very pricey. On the upside: all the machines use a pre-loaded card rather than coins, it's very clean, mask wearing is enforced and being able to take their rolling laundry carts out to the parking lot makes moving laundry back & forth to the car is easy. read more

My husband and I were in a pinch and needed a lot of laundry done fast before we moved. So a quick Internet search brought us to Family Wash Day. They do Wash, Dry and Fold for $1 a pound so we dropped off close to 100 pounds of laundry. Not only did they get the laundry done in less then 48 hours, but they called when it was done, packed everything neatly (including hanging my husband's dress pants and button downs), but they also helped him bring the laundry to his car. How has Family Wash day not received a review yet? This place is worth the trek to Upper Darby if you have access to a car. It is open 24/7/365. It is very clean, the machines are rarely out of order and there are a lot of folding stations. Also, they use a card system, so no quarters! The cards also work in the food vending machines, so no cash needed there either. They have the really big washers that you need to clean comforters or all your sheets and towels. You can watch the various TVs, use the massage chair, or play the crane machine while you wait. read more

Clean, spacious, friendly employees. It's worth the trip from Philly to use this laundromat. The card system is great. You don't have to worry about quarters or change machines, they have machines that reload the amount you want right onto your laundry card. After leaving my thing here, I picked them up & when I got home I found that several things were missing. When I tried to talk to them they said that's not possible. I asked if she could look in the back to see if there was a bag they may have forgotten, and she refused. She then asked me to make a list of things I'm missing, and leave my number in case they find them. I'll never be back at this place! read more

We went to do several large loads of laundry. The place was clean and the attendant was very helpful. Plenty of washers in all sizes. Beware that the washers do not spin all of the water out during the spin cycle, and the dryers are not hot. Our linens were so wet, the attendant had to mop up the floor when we transferred them to the dryer. The attendant suggested we place the one set back in a smaller washer to wash and spin, out again. She even offered to pay for us, but conveniently her card did not work so I had to pay again to wash the linens. Two sets dried after 4 cycles in the hot dryer, but the third had to be taken home to spin out twice in my washer and then placed in my dryer. I will find another place to do king size linens and blankets as this was a bust and costly almost $20.00 read more

I am so pleased with the service Family Wash Day provided me! This was my first time going and I plan on coming back again and again! I dropped off probably about a months worth of laundry for their clean, fold and sort service. Not only was there a quick turnaround (just a few days -- and they could do same-day if you're in a hurry) but every single piece of my laundry was folded so precisely and with care, and smells so good! The price is a dollar per pound and for what I dropped off, I would have gladly paid even more to have that chore off my to do list. The owner was there to help me when I dropped off everything and was there today when I went to pick everything up. He's so nice! Obviously a family-run business because they really care! Not a single piece was missing or shrunk or damaged in any way. They hung up most of my clothes on hangers and in dry cleaning bags. They lent me a cart to roll everything out onto the parking lot to load my car. The facility itself is clean and seems like a lot of their machines are newer with card readers and in great working condition. Although I did not do any laundry there myself so I'm only commenting on appearance. I cannot say enough good things about this place. 1,000,000% satisfied! read more

During the COVID-19 Pandemic, they don't allow you to fold your clothes in the laundromat. Most other laundries that are open in the area are allowing you to wash, dry and fold your clothes. It would be nice if they limited the number of people folding, rather than prohibit it altogether. read more

What a huge laundromat and easy to use! The staff is attentive and knowledgeable about how to work the machines and always help you if needed! You have to get a card that you put money into and that pays for the detergent and machines, which is something I prefer than constantly looking for dollar bills or change. They also have vending machines and tables if you get hungry or to pass your time. There are 2 bathrooms. And the best part is they are open 24 hours! I highly recommend this place! My washer broke recently and I needed to do the wash while waiting for repairs. I haven't been in a laudromat for a while and I was very impressed with the kindness and patience of the staff. They showed me how to obtain a card and fill it and how to run the machines. They turned on the tv for my son. I'll be using them anytime I need a large machine. I have been washing my clothes there for at least 3 maybe 4 years. I was tired of washing my clothes in dirty laundromats and sweating/ freezing to death. I stopped here one day and have been going ever since. The attendants are nice and helpful. The new addition is Eddy. He is AWESOME!!He is so respectful, professional, personable, and a good person. This laundromat is very clean and very inexpensive. They have one huge machine that holds up to 5 loads of laundry. It's only a little over $7. The staff is very friendly and willing to help if you run into any problems. They have an abundance of machines so even on busy days it's not too long to get a machine. read more

This place is open 24 hours and very convenient for those who work. There is always someone there to assist. Now, the place can be crowded at times & it's a lot of people trying to do laundry so it's not as relaxing. I typically don't sit inside because it's not a lot of seats. My last visit the dryer was having issues but the attendant was able to help me & suggested that I can jiggle the vent & the dryer should work. She also said that she typically goes around and empty the vents. Maybe she missed mine but it was ok. There are several out of order machines. I appreciate having access to a clean and spacious facility where I can wash, dry, and fold clothing, towels, sheets, etc. I also like the card system because I don't have to worry about collecting quarters. I give this laundromat a poor rating because it does not have a hot water wash cycle. In a public laundromat dirty soiled clothing & bedding and the current epidemic of bed bugs, hot water is a must!!! Also because they do not use hot water at all, the washers are mildewed and leave your clithes smelling awful once you get them home. They do not bleach clean the washers drums so just imagine the smelly microbes growimg inside.of those moist warm closed drums! It is pretty gross. I actually travel a bit farther now.for.hot water washers after i noticed the.smell in my clothes from theirs. They said they conserve energy (really expense/costs) by not using hot water. This is a nice laundry and always clean...but they are not always so honest. I used the card and the machine took the money and I reported it. The young girl on duty had an attitude to start with and then said that I didn't have the money on the card...when she called me back she told me the same crap she said before she supposely had talked to the manager. I put $4.95 in the machine and got nothing for my load of clothes...nor did i get my money back...I went back to the laundry and picked up my card and will not be going back for wash...I work hard for my money and don't like get screwed and not feeling good about it. read more
