I have never seen a worse service like this. Handouts were delivered to our apartment building, without telling the details of the service package. After two services, I was charged $115 saying that two coats I sent to them were not included in the service. Before moving to Philly, I owned my own home with a washer and dryer. I was use to doing my laundry at 3 o'clock in the morning when I couldn't sleep. So I was shocked when I discovered that the majority of the places I was looking at renting here had coin operated laundry only. In fact, the apartment I originally settled on didn't have laundry facilities at all. I began my quest to find a laundromat near my place that was clean and safe. I quickly got discouraged by the lack of reviews as well as the realization that I'd been spending WAY too many hours sitting around waiting for laundry to wash/dry. I didn't have time for all that! That's when I found Got Laundry? and all the reviews here. I have to admit - at first read, I thought that surely all these people must be employees or something. I'd never seen such glowing reviews without a few negative ones thrown in. But it was the only laundry service that did pick up/drop off that I could find and I really liked the amount of humor on their website, soooo, I gave them a call. From my very first phone call, I knew I'd found the right solution. Ray, the owner, explained how everything worked. I'd have a set time/day for both pick up and drop off. He and his employees work around my schedule which means they pick up my laundry on Wednesdays before work and class and then they drop off my laundry on Fridays after I get home from work. (One of these days I'm going to get around to getting keys made for them so that I don't have to be here at all!) My roommate and I share the largest semester package but they still only provide us one laundry bag so on Fridays we get all of our laundry back, perfectly sorted, neatly folded and tucked away neatly inside the same bag we sent it in. And I will echo a thought many have shared here - my laundry smells so good! I've even had a few guys I've dated comment on it. ;) I think what I like the most about Got Laundry, though, is that it's a small, family-run business. I respect Ray very much as he's always kind and considerate. He's got a beautiful wife and family and I love seeing stories and videos on Facebook about how he makes the business a family affair! It's encouraging to see such a wonderful group of people providing an amazing service to the community and I am so glad to be one of their customers! I hate the fact that I have a washer and dryer in my apartment building but can't reload the laundry card because the machine is in the landlord office. This is a wonderful small business with a personal touch. The manager always returns emails and phone calls with questions and the driver who picks up and drops off my laundry is pleasant friendly and responsible. It is so relaxing to be able to send out my laundry and have it come back folded. Be sure to ask about the subscription services for the month. When Got Laundry say they deliver, they really mean it! A truly excellent service - I was very nervous when I knew I'd be without a washing machine over the summer (especially with two small children at home!), but feel very fortunate to have found the team at Got Laundry. Not only is the laundry taken care of (coming back clean, neatly folded and well cared for), but the customer service is outstanding; without exception, everyone I have met or spoken with has been polite, professional, friendly and informed. We live in centre city, and Got Laundry make everything so easy; the first time I used them, I called (although scheduling pick-ups/drop-offs online is very efficient and reliable) and they managed to get someone out the same day, so I didn't have 40lbs of laundry sitting around! Since then, I have used their website to schedule a weekly pick-up and drop-off (you can fit this into whatever works for your schedule) - they provided me with a huge laundry sack with a draw-string (very handy with the amount of laundry we have), arrive promptly, and within 48 hours, I have everything back washed and neatly folded. You could not ask, or find, a better laundry service, and it makes me want to never replace the washer and dryer :) read more

Such a bad experience. I signed up to have my laundry picked up. The only option left was 8:45 am so I took it. After I already gave my credit card info and got the pickup scheduled they sent me an email saying it is a 2 hour window when we will pick up the laundry. That seemed really bait and switchy to me, it is fine to have a 2 hour window but like advertise it on your site so I can pick the one that works for me. I emailed them and said I'm actually only going to be around until 9:45 .. will that work, and they said they would try to have the driver deliver in that time frame. Day of, I called them at like 10:15 just to see what is going on and how far away they were in case I had to be even later to where I was going, the woman on the phone was like oh I think they aren't available until this afternoon or this evening. She called the driver and was like yeah they aren't available until later. I obviously was really pissed because I'd been sitting in my house for an hour and a half for no reason on my day off. So she called the driver again and said he would be there at 11 and I'd get a 10% discount. At 11:20 I call them again and she said oh, he's an hour away still we had a delay. I was like seriously, you had a delay and it didn't occur to you to let me know? They definitely wouldn't have called me, they would have just let me sit there. read more

If you use this service for the first time, very sure to contact them about any items that might cost extra since they are not listed on their web site. I, unfortunately, made the mistake of assuming that the extra charges for larger items like a quilt would be in the same ballpark as other services I've used. When I was charged more than $125 dollars, including extra for two large bath towels that were called "small blankets" instead. I contacted the service to ask about the pricing, and received a nice message back that i would need to wait a bit because of a family emergency - I can certainly understand that! - and a *promise* that I'd get a follow-up as soon as possible. I never heard back, even after a follow-up email to them a few weeks later. I'm a stickler for customer service and keeping your word, so between this and a rude confirmation call I got from a staff person (almost certainly not one of the owner's family members) I likely won't use them again. Also, if you decide to try them and you have special requests, be sure to list them. I completely forgot about fabric softener, which I never use, and ended up with towels that weren't absorbent because the softener wasn't all out (there were white marks that came out during the next wash/rinse). read more

I don't normally write yelp reviews, unless a business is as good as 'Got Laundry?' and I really feel like they deserve the kudos. I originally bought one of the groupon deals for got laundry, as I always have dry cleaning and never any time to drop off/pick up. I couldn't believe their per item prices when I checked the website, and the fact that they don't charge for delivery. I got almost 15 items dry cleaned, and they came back perfectly. Ray (the owner) is a really nice guy, and he told me all about the origin of 'Got Laundry' which really gave everything a human touch. Customer service was amazing. They even re-did a jacket I had because they didn't think they got a stain out (that I had missed!). I will definitely be using their services again, and I would highly recommend them. read more

I just got my first load of laundry back - the service was prompt, easy to set up, the owners worked with me to find a plan that fitted my needs, my clothes smell fresh and are folded to perfection.... I've never seen clothes folded so immaculately. I didn't believe it could be so easy, but I am thrilled with the service and I would highly recommend it to anyone in the area! Terrible. Worst dry cleaning I have ever received in my life. I also paid for the silver package, and requested not to fold the shirts but hang ans iron them and the shirts were all bunched up in a bag all wrinkled. They are impossible to get a hold of on the phone as well. read more

They ruined 6 pairs of Hugo Boss pants, and a Burberry tie last week by throwing them in the wash and offered me an insulting $25 per pair! They stated "GotLaundry? does not check the contents of the laundry bags or labels of the items in the bags before throwing them in the machines." Meaning there is NO quality control. My washer died and based on positive reviews, I decided to use this service. I have to say I have never dealt with such a business owner who cared so much about his customers. Great family owned and staffed business. My only advice is if you have any fragant related issues, ask for unscented. I forgot to do so and had to rewash my two comforters they cleaned because the scent was so strong I couldn't even sleep. These guys were really pretty good. This was my first experience with a laundry service and I wasn't disappointed. My only issue was that, every now and then, their phones wouldn't work and I couldn't reach them that way, but they were always very responsive via email and would also update me through text about my dry cleaning etc. They offer pickup and drop-off at your home, and clothes are almost always perfectly washed and folded. I live in a third floor walk-up with no laundry facilities. I was going to the laundromat at 10th & Spruce. When I started working and getting home near dark and the weather turned chilly, I could not bring myself to go back out to do laundry. The bigger the pile of dirty laundry got, the less inclined I was to cart it to the laundromat. Call me lazy - I'm fine with that. At any rate, I decided to try out Got Laundry?. I called and scheduled a pick-up of my dirty laundry for around 7am on a Monday and delivery of nice clean laundry around 7am on a Wednesday. There was no pick-up or delivery charge (Philly resident special) and I received a laundry bag for future laundry calls. The charge was $1.69 per pound. When I received the clothes on Wednesday, they were very neatly folded and nice and clean. This was a luxury I never thought I could afford, but for me it is affordable. Whatever extra cost there is compared with the cost of doing laundry at the laundromat, it is absolutely worth it to me. read more

Wow. This company is amazing. My washing machine broke right as I got back from vacation (with 2 kids). I called them on a Sunday, they got back to me within 30 minutes (even though they are technically closed on Sunday). I needed emergency service because I had a business trip Tuesday. They picked up my laundry (with a text message to let me know they were there) in the morning. By 7pm, I had the laundry back - perfectly washed, folded and organized. This is a family owned and operated business and they couldn't be friendlier or more focused on customer service. What a treat, considering I've been complaining that Philadelphia has lost all sense of customer service! I used Got Laundry? for the first time. I got my clothes back tonight and it was great! We had a huge load and the price was very affordable. They dry cleaned what I asked them too. They were true to the prices they advertised on the site. They are also true to their 2 day turnaround. Online payment was very convenient. They were prompt and very good at communicating via email, phone and text. My boyfriend has his work shirts machine washed and they came back freshly pressed with the collars properly folded. The service was personal and friendly. They seem to take pride in their work! The owner picked up and dropped off himself, and introduced himself to me by name. I had the misfortune of being a tenant in a building where there was a massive flood forcing several tenants to seek temporary housing, with no notice, & me with 2 young cats in tow. The flood water hit my bathroom & part of my bedroom & as you might guess, my bedding. My immediate thought to trying to salvage my bedding was to have a professional laundry service take it all. I have never used a professional laundry service before & went online to look for local reviews & happened upon Got Laundry having something to do with providing service for the US Open just outside the city in 2013, an event my law firm was a corp. sponsor for as well. I thought, well if these guys impressed that demanding group, they have to be good & contacted them. Most of my dealings were with Ray (the owner?). He's a consummate professional & when I explained my circumstances we quickly made arrangements to have all the bedding/towels/mattress pad/pillows picked up. Further more, since I didn't know week-to-week when I could return to my apartment, he was incredibly accommodating in storing everything once complete until I could get back to my place. He made some exception for the center city delivery/pickup schedule & the storage cost as well. I also interacted with Kiyah & Tosh (I might be remembering his name wrong, so sorry). Again, I could not have been more impressed with the consistent high standard of professionalism. I literally said that to myself after every new person I dealt with because you think, well the owner, sure but what about everyone else? Well all of them, equally awesome!! Several things worth mentioning: 1) I realized after the first pickup that my shower curtain wasn't included & they were quick to arrange a pickup at the hotel I was staying in to add this to the group. (again, I was trying not to have to replace anything so timing was crucial for fungus, etc.) 2) They use a proprietary anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, environmentally-friendly (& I'm a "green" girl) cleaning solution that make them the only choice in my mind when a questionable substance has soaked your bedding. 3) This was a situation where I wasn't sure from the onset who would be picking up costs & I had the good sense to mention that early on. Ray went above & beyond bending policy to accommodate these circumstances & I was quick to assure him his level of customer assistance would for not be for not. These are the types of companies you care to leave a good impression on & establish a good relationship with. In a situation like mine its often hard to track a) what day it is or plan as you normally might with foresight & organization & they were able to step in & make up where my skills/awareness were lacking & emotion was a roller-coaster. & b) whether in fact the gratitude I had for them was being expressed to the level I was feeling it. Again, I could not have been more happy with their professionalism or quality of service. I feel incredibly lucky to have found them in a crisis with a short window of time before things wouldn't have been salvageable. Had I been at home at the time they dropped everything off, folded neatly & packaged in plastic bags as an earlier review showed in pics, I probably would've hugged them. For anyone needing professional laundry service, even if it isn't a crisis, please use them & refer others! read more

This is absolutely the best business that I have encountered. Every person that you talk to is kind, responsive and willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done. I have not been at the store location but I have done the wash/fold/delivery service twice now - and it has not disappointed! They will come between 6:30-7:30am so you can deal with laundry before work - and bring it back again the same time in 2 days. The laundry seems to have been washed with care, no wrinkles, nice folding, smells clean! The bill is e-mailed to you the same day, they send you google appointments and text you for pickup/dropoffs... so easy!
