I assisted my son placing an order for his girlfriend. In the special instruction section we requested they be delivered tomorrow Oakdale High before 2 so she would get them during school and because she lives out of town where they likely won't deliver. Around 3 my son checked with her and the flowers were not delivers. I contacted the business and the sort of apologized saying they were behind. When asked, they had not even looked at the special instruction section on the order. They did offer a few solutions, that wouldn't work because of scheduling, that's why he did it this day. They did not seem very concerned at the mistake. I have ordered there many times before. However there lack of concern at the mistake leaves me questioning future purchases. read more

I paid extra for the premium but yet what I got was more like a standard. 3 roses, no tulip (which was the main reason i chose this particular arrangement), lilies & a few carnations. I had flowers sent to my sister for her bday, that I ordered through 1 800 flowers, but they were delivered from this place. The arrangement was beautiful, but I was very disappointed in the size. I ordered an extra large arrangement and the arrangement deliverd looks like a medium. Also I ordered a Birthday balloon as an add-on, but instead received chocolates. Another big disappointment. My sister can't have candy due to health issues. I'm upset that I didn't get any notification that there was going to be a change in my order. If no balloons were available, then I should have been notified, and I would have just preferred a refund for the balloon and said NO to the chocolates. read more

I am writing this review on Valentine's Day and will update if something changes. I spent $122 on a flower arrangement and chocolates for my fiancé a week ago to be delivered today. It was getting later in the afternoon so I called the shop to make sure my order would be delivered today and after a 20 minute hold, I was assured they would be and they checked on my order and said they just hadn't been sent out yet. 3 hours later I called again as the shop was about to close in 30 mins. Another 15 minute hold time. The lady on the phone then assured me that my order was leaving the store as we spoke and it looked like my order would arrive by 7:30pm. Ok, kinda late for a valentine's gift, but at least they would be here. It's now going on 8:30 and I never even received the text they said I would get when it left the store. It really sucks because I have ordered from Fresh Ideas before and my fiancé loved her flowers every time, but today they made me seem like a jerk for not getting her anything on Valentine's day. Thanks guys. EDIT: I am updating this review pretty late as it slipped my mind. The flowers actually showed up about 10 minutes after I wrote the review. They were about as expected, maybe a little smaller, but overall nice. I am updating to 3 stars(can't do 2.5) because I still think it's unacceptable for the delivery to be that late, and it really put a damper on the night as the surprise was spoiled. I understand it was Valentine's Day, but I made the order two weeks in advance and expected to receive them at a reasonable hour. This place is amazing! I had never used them before. I had a very close relative pass away in Modesto and I live in Seattle. Called them, told them it was very important, gave them a number and hoped they would come through. Wow! Did they ever. We got into Modesto in time for the funeral and the spray that Fresh Ideas put together was fabulous. So much so that my wife decided that, after the funeral people had made it the centerpiece for the service, decided to move it to one side so it didn't dominate the others so much. WELL DONE!
