This is only the second time in a few years I have ordered online. As of a week I have not received either purchase. I am so angry with their online order service. I am done. Once I get my orders and or refund I will be done with Famous Footwear. Whoever ships for them is awful. read more

I visited Famous Footware on State Street Rockford last night around 8:50pm. I was looking for a pair of dress shoes and a pair of sneakers. I found both and had some assistance from an employee. I then went up to check out. The nice employee that assisted me was waiting, she got barged out of the way by an older lady, she said I'll take it from here. The older lady asked me if I found everything okay... I told here yes all but the laces on the sneaker are gray and I would prefer white. She indicated to me that replacement laces are sold here. I asked if they could be included since I was buying 2 pairs of shoes... not much to ask. The older lady then proceeded to tell me did I want her to loose her job and that she loves selling shoes. Big mistake! I asked how much the laces cost, she said $2.50, I asked one more time "you are really going to loose my business today and in the future over $2.50 laces?" she said yes and was very stern about it. (Strike 1) I was quite disturbed that the associate that had attended to me on (2) separate occasions that night was being forced out of a sale (Strike 2) No flexibility and obvious frustration that it was now past 9pm closing time. (Strike 3) Horrible customer service and me wasting my valuable time trying on shoe and wanting to spend my hard earned cash. I am also in sales a Manager, just I sell Automobiles that cost thousands of dollars, if I treated a customer buying a car the way I was treated last night that would not only be unacceptable, but would be missing on thousands of dollars over the hundred or so that I was about to spend. Perhaps a person like the older lady that I encountered doesn't think that loosing a hundred dollar sale matters, but I bet the owners of Famous Footwear do. I'm going shopping today elsewhere and I bet if the sneakers at another store are gray they will give me white ones. read more

I was in your State Street Rockford Location. The entire staff working on Sunday October 20th treated me with the disrespect and attitude. I will no longer be shopping at this location or any other location which really stinks because I have been shopping at Famous Footwear and recommend you guys for a long time and love your products. Now I will be telling my friends, family, and employees not to come here. I am very disappointed with this. First, you need to either fix your system or retrain your employees on how to redeem the coupons you send via text message because they would not take my coupon even though it was not expired. When I was trying on two different pairs of shoes, the sales associate went to put the boxes away. I told her she did not need to put them away because I was still trying on those shoes. She looked and me and said, "BOTH of them?" I told her, "Yes, both of them." She then dropped the boxes out of her hands, approached the manager, and started whispering about the fact I told her I was still trying to decided which ones to get. When it was time to be rung out I was with my mother who had a text message coupon for 20% off. She gave the cashier her phone to redeem the coupon. He did not know how to use it. He called his manager up to scan it in. She looked at my mom and said she could not take it because it did not have the right code or bar to scan. So I asked her if there was a way to still get the 20% off because we did have the coupon. She told me there was nothing more she could do. I looked at my mom and yes, I rolled my eyes and told my mother that was a lie that they couldn't do anything. The manager then called me a brat under her breath and said I was being disrespectful. I told my mom to forward the text message to me; maybe it was not working because she did not have a smart phone. The manager then raised her hand stuck it in my face and said, "I will not work with you, you can leave my store." Then looked at my mother and said, "There is nothing I can do. There is no way for me to honor your coupon." I told her that I was not talking to her I was talking to my mother. My mother then asked the manager, "What if I found a pair of shoes I like and they were slightly damaged but I still wanted them? What would you do for me then if I asked for a percent off?" The manager then answered with, "Well, that is another screen." My mom looked at her and said, "Well you should have done that in the first place so I will take my business else were." As we proceeded to walk out of the store a male employee had raced up behind me and told me I need to leave the store immediately. I turned around and said, "I am leaving; you do not need to be this close to me." The man kept getting closer to me which was not okay with me. I looked at him and said, "I hope you don't plan on grabbing me or hitting me so you need to back up. I am leaving; there is no need for you to charge at me like this." His manager then approached the both of us and told the man he needs to step away from me. read more
