I was there last night, 4 days before Christmas. Crowded with people shopping, and multiple sales people on hand who asked me if they could assist, all cheerful. One young sales girl suggested Alex & Ani bracelets and I bought 3 for gifts. (THANK YOU!) My only complaint is she would not sell me the ones that she was wearing on her wrist. (Ha!) She was very helpful in spite of not having her own shopping done because she was working every day. One of the ladies at the counter who explained to me what each pendant on the bracelet meant looked incredibly sad. I wanted to give her a hug and tell her whatever it is, this too shall pass, but she was putting on a very stoic front to be professional, and I did not want to embarrass her. We don't know everyone's struggles so I will pray that she will work through this difficult time with what she is dealing with, and will ultimately find peace. Although I have never used the florist services, based on my total experience in the rest of the store, I am surprised at some of the bad reviews. I can only say I have not been disappointed here, but I also understand that sometimes a person can have a bad day, and one time does not make a trend; I would not give a bad a review as a result. Your wife had to take care of you for months because the doctor restricted you to doing no physical activity and definitely not to lift anything over 5 pounds. Thus you are stuck sitting in a chair with funky braces on you unable to really do anything. Then one day toward the end of your restrictions you notice the house is a mess. So you make the comment, "Man, you really need to clean around here" to your wife. Never mind the fact that she's been doing all the house and yard work, taking care of your kids, working full time, going to school full time, having to change your bandages, wash your hair, bathe you, etc... That looks she gives you... Yea, that look. You bet she's mad! So you need to say you're sorry and fast. Is it the best florist in town? Now, but they have long hours, they usually have something available and the flowers generally look good. I've bought from them multiple times. The flowers don't last the longest, but they are the most convenient. Also, in all honesty I buy a lot of flowers just for the heck of it. Because let's face it... those are the best kind of flowers, just because.

I have used King Flowers for many years, as a former resident I trusted them and they never let me…read moredown. Something has changed and I no longer recommend them at all. Just before Christmas (December 2018) I placed 3 online flower orders, selected what I wanted, paid for them, and waited to hear from the recipients as they were all a surprise. They were supposed to be delivered by the next day. At the end of that day, I hadn't heard so I texted. Only 1 of the 3 had gotten hers. The next day, I heard from the 2nd one and to my dismay when she sent a picture, it was not even close to what I ordered at all! I call King Flowers and spoke to someone. She advised that "well we don't always go by what TeleFlorist shows, you have to phone the order in to be sure what we have." HUH? Then why have online flower ordering at all? I offered to forward a picture that was taken to show how terrible it was but she advised "well I know who did it and I'm not surprised." REALLY? Since it was past when I had wanted them, although they said they'd take another arrangement out, that person works and delivery the first time was difficult, so I said no, I'd like my money back. She said she was busy and I'd have to call back the next day about it, which I did. After time off the phone, she said they'd only refund $20 of a nearly $50 order - I wasn't happy but something was better than nothing. And nothing is what I got, my money was never refunded. I was tired of having to call them all the time during my working day so I just gave up. (I will note that the other 2 orders were accurately done and what I had ordered.) I have used King Flowers many times over the past 25 years or so, they even did funeral flowers when I buried my husband in Rockford nearly 10 years ago. So this is sad but I no longer trust a company that blatantly substitutes on placed online orders at a much lower quality and doesn't care if you are unhappy with that being done. I will not use King Flowers again - be aware that they will substitute online orders without your knowledge unless the recipient says something. This is very sad to do, but I cannot and will not be ripped off again. You cannot trust their word. Christine H.
