I ordered the shrimp and grits, and it was fresh and delicious, with just enough spice to the shrimp. Several weeks later, I found them at the Food Truck Rally in Union Township. I again order the shrimp and grits, and this time the portion was larger, with more ingredients. (I'm assuming that their regular dish was "downsized" for the Taste of Cincinnati). To me, the little extras -- I remember Jalapeno butter as being one --- turned a good dish into an extraordinary one.

Food up and ordered a steak burrito the Saturday before Father's day, they were running a Father's day special where you also got a free order of nachos with any order. I told them I wasn't a father and it wasn't even Father's day and they still wanted to give me free food. That's a definite plus to start! I also made a mistake when ordering my burrito and forgot to ask them to put the sour cream on the side, after I told them they said they already made it but would remake my burrito for me if I wanted, which is another big plus. Good quality customer service. so far things are looking pretty good for tacos locos, and whenever I got home the burrito look great. headset on the flat top and got in a little bit of crispiness, the cheese and probably melted all in there, they even pre-sliced it down the middle. I dug in... It wasn't amazing. It was definitely good, v steak was plentiful, and the cheese had definitely melted. However it was all kind of in with one corner of the burrito roll so it all melted into a clump. The beans inside were extremely rich, but also thin. I was absolutely happy with the purchase, and see it as a solid option. But not the best burrito in Cincinnati. Free nachos, by the way, were loaded up and solid as well.

Finally found them across the street in a parking lot just a bit further south on Montgomery Road. They are set back further than before but still visible with quite a few parking spots. I was sad that they were out of shrimp for shrimp tacos, but it was late in the day. So I went with chicken tacos. Love that they still use two corn tortillas for each taco. Each had plenty of filling and the traditional onion and cilantro with lime wedges on the side. Also enjoy the slices of fresh cucumber to munch on. I tried a quesadilla for the first time. Went with a combo of mushroom and spinach. It was good. Not sure if I'll order it again though. It doesn't travel well. So it sat in the container while I drove home, and it got a bit soggy on the bottom. Still tasty though. I also ordered a side of refried beans and chips. The chips come with salsa that I don't use. I dip the chips in the beans and enjoy them that way :). The chips could have been fresher, but overall it was a good meal.

Located next to the BP station. They offer tacos (pork, steak/beef, pescatarian, etc), gorditas, burritos, quesadillas, plates, sides and catering. The first time I went, I got the chicken, birria and chorizo tacos. My friends loves the fish and shrimp tacos. The second time I got 2 chicken and one chorizo. Man... it was delish! Fresh ingredients off the grill. The chorizo has a good kick and their homemade green sauce is fire. Love it. Now if I can take my fiancée here so he can enjoy it. This place is solid and I highly recommend you pay them a visit.

We arrived right as the game was starting and they were out of the pulled pork sandwiches, so we chose the pulled chicken instead! I think this was the best shredded chicken sandwich I have ever had! The chicken was SO flavorful, even without barbecue sauce. The buns were also super sweet and fluffy, and perfectly soaked up the juices from the sandwich to round out the flavor. Frantically I pulled out my phone and found El Gordis right down the road in the parking lot of a BP gas station at the intersection of Tennessee and Reading. I pulled up way too damn hungry, distraught, trying to figure out if I wanted a torta or a burrito or just like 16 different things. I ordered in a panic, and ended up with a steak torta. Payment via cash or cash app, no cards accepted. It was a delicious decision. What I got from the owner was probably one of the best Mexican meals I've had in this city, and that torta was a solid meal in and of itself. Piled HIGH with meat, two different types of cheeses, damn near a whole avocado, fresh jalapenos, home made salsa, lettuce, pico, and a grilled jalapeno and onion on the side for good measure. It was probably one of the most ridiculously large things I've eaten, and at $12 it was worth every single penny. While he was cooking I chatted with the owner, they're open until 9pm every night except Sunday but he's talking about opening until late on the weekends (like 1 am), because he apparently does good business in the evening. He marinates and makes all of his meat (including chorizo), bakes his own bread, dices his own tomatoes, it's all his handy work making this little truck work. And the results are well worth it.

My personal choice on this most recent visit was the PHD, ham, cheddar cheese and brown mustard on Tuscan pane ($6). The mustard added a nice bite to the otherwise fairly standard grilled ham and cheese. The sandwich was filling, though a bag of chips definitely helps round out the meal. My personal favorite and the sandwich we have ordered during both visits is the Bee Sting. This sandwich combines mozzarella, pepperoni, basil infused honey with chili flaked butter on Tuscan pane ($6). The mix of sweet flavors from the honey mixes perfectly with the spiciness from the pepperoni and chili flakes. This is my go to sandwich. Our son enjoys half of the Cheesy Wonder, which is a blend of four cheeses again on Tuscan pane ($5). Again the sandwiches are pretty large, so there is no way he can finish the entire sandwich, but I always enjoy the leftovers. This is a fairly standard grilled cheese, but I appreciate the mix of cheeses to give it somewhat of a better taste. Still the specialty sandwiches are where it's at. Overall, I have enjoyed my two stops at C'est Cheese and would gladly order more sandwiches from them in the future. Get the Bee Sting, you will not be disappointed.
