These people are extremely unserious and rude. I brought some electronics over for sale and they tried to base it off of eBay pricing, which is fine, however, the eBay price that they tried to base mine off of included and identical item that was missing a whole bunch of pieces. I noticed this because the price she was trying to base it off had "read caption" in bold letters. I point this out and told her to go to the description but she kept trying to slide past it very quickly, and then on top of that quickly changed the picture of what she was originally looking at to something different in order to make it seem like I did not know what I was talking about. Upon trying to point out those discrepancies, the girl at the front desk kept getting an attitude and being extremely disrespectful. While I was packing up my things I told her my point of view and she gave me a lot of attitude and a nasty tone and said " well you don't have to sell anything" as she watched me pack up my bags to go! Mind you I tried to keep it very respectful because I don't know how crazy other people maybe. I would not advise wasting your time going to this place because the people there are just not worth the stress. I created a yelp account just to make sure my feedback is known because main office number 18002904598 did not take seriously my complaint and feedback, they hung up on me (can you believe that?) I had a situation at this store when store manager took the whole situation personal and call me "Patan" which translates to as$wh... not that I'm offended for it but I could not negotiate with them a return because they were washing their hands after no warranty option was given to me, seller was trying to save his commission by not taking the item back Because they offer me to take item back for half of the price I told them that I won't accept that deal so they keep the money of a half week salary of an employee, that comment gave authority to store manager to yell at me call me "Patan" about six times and she said she was doing an exception just because of my wife I ask the store manager Esmeralda as well to the seller, would you accept that deal if you were in my shoes? And if you are a regular customer who doesn't pawn but buy? They couldn't answer, and it makes sense that they couldn't answer because they weren't fair I was expecting a negotiation in which at least I could get a store credit and get something else, but the first thing that comes to their mind is "this guy needs cash" why I think so? because store manager made a refund of the total balance $408, they refunded back to a credit card from which they charged only $175.50 That started a new argument because she did not check the account and decided to do so because she was trying to harm me, and I said to her, hey Im not doing this for the cash I'm doing this because it is an option you give and you did not gave me the option of the warranty so next time make sure you are transparent with your customers, and the reason why it makes no sense that you refund the full amount back to that card is because you take just let of it from that card, she finally understood her mistake and she was asking for the other slip and I said I paid $175 cash, which is on the account and the rest of $450, because they kept 10% which is fine for me, let's call it a restocking fee, I paid $100 with one card and $175.50 with another card so how would her accounting would add up later? She was so upset with me because I was right that She got surprised when I started to speak English because there was a guy there doing inventory and I thought ray maybe he can give me a hand with the situation but he said no Somehow this could also be consider a matter of discrimination based on the way she treated me - this is serious guys and hope you can provide the appropriate feedback hope someone from corporate office can read this review and provide training to these guys because they are causing a really bad harm to your business name read more

Rather than argue I left and sold it to a jeweler that actually knows luxury watches for 2x what I was asking originally that same day. Granted not everyone can know everything, a quick Google search would have shown the item was fine. All that said, if you're not trying to pawn or sell something that I guess is niche for them; I suppose they are decent. Prices on items for sale were fair, and staff was very friendly. This place is filled with crooks. I came here to pawn a family heirloom, a ring 1.54 karat. I didn't want this ring to leave my sight because I heard that pawn shops are notorious for switching out real diamonds you bring in, for fake ones. Once we said for this guy not to take the diamond into the back room, he said, "I can't do business with you." Uh.. ok sleeze ball. Very shady, rude and quite crook-like. Aka ghetto people. This store pays the HIGHEST for DVDS .75 each. I brought over 300 dvds and they gave me .75 each and even rounded up a few dollars for me. It took a little bit to count every dvd and ensure they were all in the boxes. They also bought my Xbox, wii and ps2 games for a reasonable price. Overall I walked away with about $275. Definitely want to price compare when your selling items and try to negotiate better deals. This pawnshop was pretty fair. P.S all the pawnshops up and down 355 got bought out by First Cash so they are all owned by the same parent company. read more

I consider myself a regular customer. I purchased everything from watches, DJ equipment, to power tools from this particular store. I never made a purchase that I didn't like. My advice to you is be knowledgable about your purchase. Don't be afraid to haggle because that's the experience of the pawnshop. I've been known to leave some quality items on the table because the price wasn't right. Ron, Sammy, and Fernando are very knowledgeable and are fair with the pricing. Don't get mad at them if you can't get what you want for the price you want. Those guys just work there. They're not the owners. All in all the pawnshop is a great experience (at least for me) and I'll continue to shop at pawnshop. This particular pawnshop is my favorite. Keep up the good work!!!!! read more

I have bought items such as audio equipment (for my audio research), blurays and DVDs, power tools, and cameras and lenses from here. I end up buying items here greater than 90% of the time, as they are able to cut down the price to a range satisfactory to me and the items would be of good value to me. I usually go here once in two weeks, time permitting. I have always been satisfied with the quality of items I bought, over the last ten years. I noticed that the lady manager who was here earlier (prior to 2017) used to be somewhat rude to the customers, but that all of the desk employees have always been very courteous to everyone. I know that at least one nice employee moved to their store on the Viers-Mill Rd in 2016-17, but all the ones who remained at this location and the new ones who came in are very nice. I did see the some-what rude lady manager in their Gude-Dr store some time ago, but have not seen her lately there. Bottom line, all of the employees are great, nice to the customers whether buying or pawning and try to get the best competitive price to the customers. If you are not in a hurry to buy items and are willing to wait, prices will drop, especially on the electronic equipment, if you are into those. Sometimes the range of equipment they have is high, and sometimes low. Previously they had a one-week return policy, but now you will need to buy a nominal fee (I forget how much it is, but ist is usually is about $5 for $100 item) towards a one-month warranty so that you can return an item within a month, should the item does not function in a specific area (they generally test it for you for the main functions in store prior to purchase). We came here to get an estimate to sell a diamond ring. The fellow attending to us proceeded to take a very valuable ring out of our sight. I alerted the guy to not do that. The guy left the ring with us and proceeded to gather the tools he needed to make an estimate. Apparently the worker at this pawn shop was very butt hurt in requesting to leave the ring with us and not take it in the back room initially. It's very shady, crooked behavior when you attempt to take a high value item into a backroom. He acted with an attitude and child-like behavior after coming back saying that "he can't do business."If a potential seller asks respectfully to not do something, please respect that. Acting like a baby won't help this pawn shop build business. It's very shady to act in this sort of manner. They're going to do what they can to not have you get it back so they can sell it for a crazy high margin. Second of all the employees are careless. This place is disgusting. The workers there are very rude! When I walked in 3 customers left saying they would never come back. A man inside was waiting to pay for his daughter bill and the manager there was very rude and insensitive to him! I had the same kind of service where they over talk you and laugh behind your back, as well as begin to speak another language that was not professional of them. The assistant manger went in back to laugh at the older gentlemen who just asked that the manager show him respect. Overall the service was horrible. They clearly are more accommodating to those who are pawning items because that's where they make the real money. If you just want to buy something, be prepared to wait awhile. Worst place to go, customer service is probably the worst out of any store I've been to, they talk rude to the customers, rip them off so most end up not wanting to come back and almost every time I have been there another person tells me how terrible the customer service was. Honestly there's one about 5 minutes down Frederick road that's 100% better and very honest and straight forward so your not getting ripped off and understand why your item has a certain value, there's also a Rockville and Frederick store that are huge! I have been here at least four times over the course of about four years and every experience I have had here was one I felt others probably do not have. There is a particular employee who eyeballs me every time I come in the store as if he is assessing whether or not I am bringing in "stolen Merchandise" which I NEVER am of course but the way this guy is looking makes me feel singled out and bad as soon as I cross the front door. A few times they have bought things I bring in but on two occasions, when the employee from behind the counter went to go speak to this person by the name of Samuel, they have either given me ridiculously low offers for my things or turned me down altogether and they always have an excuse. The last time I came here I was trying to get a loan for one of my electronics, this same person asked me from across the room if I needed help with anything and I went over and told him what I needed and showed him my product. Before even asking if I had the charger he tells me they can't take it because I don't have the charger, I pull it out of my pocket, he then ask me how much I need, waited for me to figure that out silently only to immediately tell me they could not take my things without a serial number which was right on the back, just not the sticker. I ask to speak to the manager, which I had to wait for about 20 mins to do. Supposedly their manager is Olga Fries but I always believed it to be this Samuel character because they ALWAYS go to him and have quiet conversation before selling things to people or buying it seems. When I asked him for his name and the number to their corporate office if they had one, he fell silent and said I could ask one of them over there, referring to the employees behind the counter. I asked for his name, he looked at me and said nothing, I had to literally pull the information out of these people it seemed while the manager was trying to argue that it was not their policy but the policy of the county. I stated what seemed like four million times I was not there to argue, just to get the numbers and the name, FINALLY they gave me a number which I believe is fake. Anyway I am still in the process of making an official complaint and making sure that people are not being turned down by look, race, orientation or gender at this location and that no one feels singled out like I do every time I go there. If you support a free country and no indirect bullying of consumers, please take your money or things elsewhere. Not a cool place at all. read more
