Our visit to Famous Pizza was really good. We were using our RI Foods Fight coupons and were greeted when we entered and our order was taken efficiently. We chose a cheese pizza and a pepperoni pizza, a Cesar salad, and some drinks from the cooler. Our pizzas were really good - plentiful toppings and great flavor. The Cesar salad was brought to us in a plastic take out container, with the dressing on the side, and it included a good sized piece of soft Italian bread. My daughter enjoyed the salad, and the bread was a nice extra. I've heard good things about the Fish & Chips here, and will be back soon to try them! One last thing to add is that the seating area is small, but well decorated, and as they seem to do a lot more take out than eat in (at least at the time we visited) we had no problem getting seats. read more

Got the Bbq chicken w bacon and ranch. Very sauce heavy pizza it reminds me of Chicago pizza. Good taste, if it had fresh garlic it would have been even better. Good quality crust, crunchy but soft inside. Overall a decent experience. Biggest complaint is the price. This pizza in my opinion is way overpriced. With a $1 tip my mom and I paid $15.53 for a small pizza we split. I've seen way better prices for way bigger pizza that were just as good at local bars or other pizza shops around others areas of the U.S. Unless you've got a pretty penny don't come. There's the same pizza in other spots for a better price. read more

As far as local pizza places go FP is very good. The staff are friendly and the service is quick. The Pizza is good with a medium thickness crust plenty of cheese and usually a ton of toppings. I had sausage and mushroom last night. The sausage is sliced thin like pepperoni not chunks. There were so many mushrooms- awesome. The sauce is on the sweeter side - so I add a little Tabasco. I always take it to go, they have plenty of tables if you want to sit there. read more

My favorite pizza place since the 70s. Every time I visit Rhode Island, I come back here for their pizza. One time I visited during Christmas time and my heart dropped seeing they were closed for a much needed break. But I love their pizza enough to be disappointed when I can't get it. read more

I've been coming here since I was very little and this is still hands down my favorite pizza place to date. Not just the pizza but subs, wings, spaghetti dinners etc. It's even since changed hands and they kept the tradition of this place alive. Always consistent always fast and delicious. Famous Pizza was very good back in the day, but now they are just alright. I like their chourico and chips sandwich. That's one of my go to items. Here's a Tip: Pay with cash. They charge a 4% fee if you use a debit or credit card. They are the only eating establishment, that I know of in Tiverton, that does that. read more

Do not complain about their food, or they will tell u not to go to their business again! Have been going there since 1972, since it has been sold, not the same service or food quality. Have spent big dollars here, have noticed quality of food going down hill! use to get pizza, house special like super soggy, got soup and lid not placed correctly several times! It's difficult to talk with the people taking your order. They really need a better phone system. Also, get a quote and make the hold to it. This only happened once but, one of their drivers said the guys back at the restaurant make a mistake and bilked me out of another $3. As I said, it only happened once. Most drivers are friendly, courteous and honest. read more

Went there tonight as girlfriend hungry. I believe for the most part when a business changes hands; it's often for the worse. My visit there tonight proves that point. Just because Classic was closed for vacation isn't an excuse for very shitty service. We go in, it's crowded, people with unhappy looks on their faces, people out in parking lot sitting in cars awaiting their order. We're told minimal 20 minutes for a steak &'cheese! I used to do short order and theres no reason not to be able to bang out a steak and cheese in less than 3 minutes. Granted, things get busy, but you compensate. what peeved me was the phone orders for deliveries were being banged out and getting delivered. Finally, at about the 18 minute mark, the girlfriend looked at the grill, it was empty and she asked when her sub would be ready and the response was "what steak and cheese"! UNREAL. Aside from horrible service, a very dirty establishment in front and behind the counter, crappy attitudes, the girlfriend got some mouth when she wanted a refund so she could eat elsewhere. Overall, a very terrible experience and we cannot in good faith recommend this dump! read more

Hmmm ordered two Chourico & Chip grinders with cheese & sauce tonight & got salami ham & cheese instead? The order was meant to be reheated later so didn't notice right away. I hope the person who got our order kept it and had their taste buds awakened....didn't want to waste it so we ate it...definitely not a combo I would pick! Terrible! Don't waste your money. Can't even get a simple chicken salad right. Whenever those teeny boppers answer the phone you get a million kinds of attitude and a "duh" kind of tone, I ordered and put it on my card, after giving the employee the info she hangs up without telling me a total or a goodbye! So I called back and got another snarky ignoramous who proceeded to give me attitude because I asked her what my total was! I'm sick of it! Have been going here for years..what a shame! read more

The cheese pizza and mozzarella sticks were delicious. That being said here are the problems I had with this place. I watched an older woman who worked there use her hands to put wings into a takeout container, then proceed to open the oven to check on a pizza, go to the counter to cash out an order (mind you this means she touched money) and then WITHOUT WASHING HER HANDS go to the side counter and start pressing a pizza into a pan !!! In that order. No concern for health or cross contamination in this place. Not to mention the fact its a dusty, worn down mess when you walk in. Nothing special at all and will not be returning. read more

Having lived in NYC for a year and half now, I can confidently say that NYC pizza doesn't have anything on Tiverton's Famous Pizza. I really miss living just up the street from this little place. The prices are great, service is friendly and food is good. What more can you ask for? I could really go for a ham and onion pie right now with a side of wings and blue cheese dressing. Very solid pie at a very reasonable price.. Previous reviewer said it best about his crust description.. Totally authentic neighborhood pizza parlor 80's vibe.. I think I saw TeenWolf playing Ms Pacman in the corner drinking a Tab. Grinders looked excellent with small sizes starting at $3. The burger was cooked perfectly (medium) and smothered with a delicious cheese sauce sprinkled with fresh bacon crumbles - decadent and delicious. The fries are thin and crispy (the best way) and served in one of those cute little metal baskets with just the right amount of truffle. I had the salmon rice bowl which was better than I expected it to be. The fish was fresh and cooked nicely, (medium, although it could have been taken off heat a minute or two earlier, but not what I consider 'overcooked' by any means), and sat atop some very delicious coconut jasmine rice. The bowl also had a heap of zingy red onions, thinly sliced perfectly ripe avocado, a yummy mango salsa, and was drizzled with a very nice cilantro crema. Perfection. I ate the whole thing, felt a bit overstuffed and unable to taste the burger (next time!) I am very happy to report that Pine House Kitchen & Bar got four thumbs up from us, and I look forward to visiting again with family and friends.

He was already making plans with his friends and telling them how great the food was. That's the thing--adults can sometimes exaggerate a dining experience, but kids don't. When they love something, they're honest about it and excited to share it. The food was incredible, the staff was amazing, and the atmosphere made it feel like more than just grabbing a meal--it felt like an experience. Don't be surprised if you even get a hug from one of the owners on the way out. That's the kind of place this is. Everyone should experience this awesome pizzeria. I can't wait to go back again.

When I say they are FULL of stuff on top, I mean it. These are specialty pizzas though, so the price resembles that. Regular meals/plates are on average $14. Prices as of 07/2023 Service is very friendly! Atmosphere is a bit of a bust as far as decorations but we were told they'll be getting a facelift soon. Very excited! They have a touch tunes machine which makes it fun. Open til 2am on Saturdays are a plus. Parking lot can become busy on a weekend but does just fine on weekdays.
