After reading months of mixed reviews of Pine House Kitchen & Bar, my friend and I decided to give it a try. We walked in just after 8 on a Friday night and were greeted by two very friendly young women at the host stand. We opted to sit at a high top table in the lively bar area. Every seat at the bar was taken. Our server was friendly and attentive, and brought our drinks, $8 for a Sam Adams seasonal draft, and $15 for a Bulleit Bourbon Old Fashioned cocktail (which was mixed well and nicely presented, sans the anticipated Luxardo cherry). My friend ordered the Fondue Burger with truffle fries. The burger was cooked perfectly (medium) and smothered with a delicious cheese sauce sprinkled with fresh bacon crumbles - decadent and delicious. The fries are thin and crispy (the best way) and served in one of those cute little metal baskets with just the right amount of truffle. I had the salmon rice bowl which was better than I expected it to be. The fish was fresh and cooked nicely, (medium, although it could have been taken off heat a minute or two earlier, but not what I consider 'overcooked' by any means), and sat atop some very delicious coconut jasmine rice. The bowl also had a heap of zingy red onions, thinly sliced perfectly ripe avocado, a yummy mango salsa, and was drizzled with a very nice cilantro crema. Perfection. I ate the whole thing, felt a bit overstuffed and unable to taste the burger (next time!) I am very happy to report that Pine House Kitchen & Bar got four thumbs up from us, and I look forward to visiting again with family and friends. read more

Our waitress was attentive and kindly pointed out details of the menu/bathroom as needed (baby changing station). My first time there and was very impressed! I got the tomato jam burger and it was a 10/10- delicious bun and not soggy, great flavor combo, and came with good fries and the best pickle I've had in a while! My toddler enjoyed the chicken and waffles and my husband had the truffle mushroom pizza and fondue burger. Can't speak to those dishes because I didn't try them, but everyone ate well and was satisfied, which isn't easy with young kids sometimes! It was slow when we went (Monday early afternoon), but environment was calm and country music was playing at a good volume-enough to hear but not blasting. Will return in the future! read more

I drive past Pine House on my way to meetings so I've always wanted to stop in. We were at East Beach for an event and decided to stop here on the way home on a Friday night. The parking lot was packed, but it wasn't very busy inside. It was a lot smaller than I thought. There was a dining room room to the right when you walked in with a few table tables, and then a larger bar area with tables around that. We were seated in the bar area. Inside was really nice. I really liked all of the wood finish inside and how it was decorated. I had the crispy coop, which was a fried chicken sandwich dipped in hot wings sauce with Gorgonzola and coleslaw. The chicken was really good, very tender. It had just enough spice. I ordered truffle fries on the side and they were unbelievably good! I ordered a special winter cocktail with tequila and apple cider that was really good. It was a decent size drink too for the price. My wife had the fish and chips and said it was really good. She ordered plain fries as all of the meals come with herb fries automatically. My friend had a burger and actually complained because it was too salty. They were kind enough to take half off of her meal. Our waiter was excellent. He was super attentive and we were never without a drink. We will definitely be going back here and trying other stuff. read more

This place has quickly turned into a favorite date night spot for my hubby and I. Great, friendly staff and atmosphere. Very laid back with incredible food and drinks. We visited the Pine House for the first time last week and both the food and service was fantastic! I ordered the Barbecue, Bacon Cheeseburger with a side salad instead of fries. Being low-carb, I omitted the Barbecue Sauce, and fries, but was told they make their own delicious BBQ sauce. I also went without a bun, which was hard to do since they make their own buns/bread here too! My burger, even without the sauce and the bun was juicy and tasty, and one of the best burgers I've had anywhere locally in a long time. My friend had the basic cheeseburger with all the usual accompaniments, and she raved about it and loved the bun! I had a side salad that was fresh and delicious too. We went at around 2 PM on a Saturday in that usually slower part of a restaurant's day and were served by the manager, and I wish I had taken her name. She was such a wonderful spokesperson for the restaurant and shared how everything is made from scratch with quality ingredients, and it was obvious from how everything tasted. She was pleasant and attentive, and we appreciated her service. She is an asset to this restaurant, so I hope the owners recognize her contributions. I'm pretty confident that my daughter and I got a really bad case of food poisoning after a recent visit. My guess, based on what we ordered, might have something to do with how they handled lettuce. For a new business, our service was very smooth considering how busy it was for lunch service . We were greeted with a hostess , who took our name and we were immediately seated in the bar area on a high table top. Our waitress was excellent, very quick to greet us, give us our menus and took our drink order. I got a Wassachusetts blueberry beer , which they also put nice fat blue blueberries in the beer! We ordered the wings , herbed fries , fresh cooked kettle potatoes chips and bacon deviled eggs. The deviled eggs were our appetizer but came out at the same time as our wings but I think that was because we almost forgot to order them and ordered our appetizer last. All our food came out super fast. The deviled eggs here are a must have, very creamy with a nice tang and delicious bacon crumbles on top. These eggs have a generous amount of filling. 5 stars !!!!! Herb fries were shoe string type fries but that a not stiff and crispy. They have a similar texture to the fries at five guys, but way better. These fries were seasoned perfectly, I did not have to eat them with ketchup or add salt . I had the hot wings. They had a nice kick but won't burn your mouth off. They were a perfect size and super meaty. I love that the wings come with carrots, celery and your choice of Ranch or blue cheese . The amount of sauce they give you was perfect for six wings. One of the servers accidentally brought potatoes chips to our table and they looked really good. When I asked our waitress about them because I didn't see it on the menu she asked if I would like it as a side because they are usually served with the crab dip. I personally rather have the potato chips than the fries although they did need a little salt. The ambience is very casual , in this spacious log cabin like restaurant. If you want to watch a game they have plenty of TV. Also the napkin's they put out are some of the highest quality paper napkins I have had at a restaurant. When I eat hot wings I usually go through a piles of napkins . I only used two napkins at my table. They were so thick it was like having a terry cloth towel . They also a great variety of wines and cocktails. Even their beers on Tap had something for every beer lover, I would definitely come back here . Food has been good every time that I've gone. Ended up here by happenstance one night to meetup with a friend and had a chance to enjoy the bar. Had the opportunity to speak with the owner and he informed me of ingredient choices with the food he makes. He makes a killer sour dough! Ended up bringing the family back the next day and we had another great experience. Since then we've been going when we can. They do the chicken wings, just right! Great food, staff, and desserts! Ambience - 4/5 Clean and welcoming environment with a nice bar and outdoor seating available Service - 4/5 Friendly service but a little slow, especially for the amount of guests in the restaurant Food - 3/5 Crab dip with house made chips-- chips were bordering on being burnt but sliced thin and crunchy; crab dip was cheesy and tasty Veggie burger with herbed fries -- herbed fries were a tad too oily and slightly under seasoned; veggie burger with goat cheese was sadly almost inedible. The bun was toasted but tasted stale and dry, the veggie patty with the goat cheese formed a dry paste in my mouth. The greens on the burger were wilted. Overall the burger was akin to doing a saltine cracker challenge. It needs some sort of aioli or tomato or something to make it edible because it's too dry to chew. Price 2/5-- cocktails are $15, steak and fries $50, grilled tips $40 -- this is quite pricey for food that's not quite gourmet. Overall this restaurant is okay, but there is definitely room for improvement. I will definitely give it another go, and I hope they're able to work out a few kinks. read more

My husband and I went out to dinner at the Pine house Kitchen and Bar for the first time last night. We each ordered the blue burger, done medium rare. The burgers came out to perfection and were absolutely delicious. Excellent fries, excellent pickle (made in house)! The service was wonderful, the atmosphere rustic and cozy. The ambiance was great. The drinks were great and the chili. The dinners could have been better. I got the salad special and it was ok. It lacked any protein and was small. My husband got the chicken Caesar sandwich and it was a slab of a breast, overcooked and no flavor. It was disappointing. read more

Recently had dinner here. The waitress was sweet and kind, the atmosphere was warm and cozy, so the experience started out great. Once the meals arrived, things went downhill. We found a large piece of steel wool in my burger and there were 4 tiny pieces of overcooked steak in the $35 kebob meal. They quickly addressed the steel wool issue and remade the dish. The owners were present in the kitchen but never came out to resolve the concern directly or even to apologize. Instead, they sent the waitress out to say "they" would pay for my drink, which was a $6 beer! Won't be returning! read more

The negatives first which actually are pretty minor. We sat at the bar and the music was very loud, hard to carry on a conversation. The lighting definitely needs to be toned down. What makes the lighting issue worse is the very light colored pine on the ceiling and walls. The light seems to reflect off it. Lastly it's definitely a destination restaurant, nothing around it. The bartender was friendly and efficient. We both had salads and they were very good. The portion was large, definitely filling. The usual suspects on the beer and wine list nothing that's not unknown to everyone. Overall a good experience. We will be back to try the sandwiches and meals. read more

6 of us tried it for dinner. We ordered from fish and chips, chicken sandwich and pizza. No one was impressed enough that we would come back. Bar side is noisy. Been here 5 times. Each time has been horrible. Bad food and drinks. Overpriced for bad food. They try to make average food fancy and it's always bad. The fries are over seasoned with herbs. The burgers are soggy. The drink menu is outdated from the summer. The wings suck. Plain wings are bad. The sauces taste weird. It would be much better if they just sold normal pub food instead of the over complicated fancy stuff they try to make. It's overpriced and not good. read more

Everything was so fresh and flavorful and our server was very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is very casual and family friendly. We tried Pine House Kitchen tonight. They have only been open about a week, and are still serving a limited menu of burgers and apps. We started with the bone-in BBQ wings (we ate 2 before I remembered to take a picture). They had crispy skin and I liked the BBQ sauce. The tomato jam burger was delicious - lots of goat cheese and tomato jam. The fondue burger was definitely sloppy... but it's a fondue burger. The burgers were just slightly undercooked, so this is not a place where you should order medium rare and expect medium well. Burger buns were phenomenal! The burgers are served with herbed fries which were crispy, not greasy, and absolutely delicious. You can substitute plain fries, or upgrade to truffle fries for $3 more. The atmosphere and service were both great. We will definitely be back! read more

If you go to this wonderful restaurant, make certain you have a drink at the bar with Ashley, she is a bubbly bartender with a lot of spirit. She steered us through the menu beautifully, so we ate at the bar. Everything was delicious- we had the grilled chicken sandwich with fantastic bacon and the veggie burger with lots of goat cheese. Went with 3 friends for dinner on a weeknight at 5:30. It took 3 hours for 3 burgers and a pizza to go. Had to keep chasing waitstaff for our drinks and water. Food was mediocre at best definitely not worth the price. Hoping they can adjust the prices and up the service! We need more places to go in the area. read more
