Clean, nice, fancy. I've had a few of their fancy burgers as well as their plain and classic doubles. Everything is always delicious. I don't love fries but their thicker fries are perfectly crispy on the exterior while soft and fluffy on the inside. The staff has always been top tier and helpful with their recommendations. Outstanding smash burger! Ate lunch there today. Great meat--loved the crispy smashed edges. Get the triple cheeseburger with their fancy mayo. The burger was piping hot throughout the entire meal. I really liked this place at first but the last time I ordered pick up, I had a very unpleasant experience afterwords. I realized that someone in the staff had added a 20% tip to my bill after I left. YES, you heard that correctly. I opted for no tip since it was pick up. (Me, personally, unless you're delivering something to my home or serving me, I don't find it necessary to tip). That being said, if you have to check your credit card statement after every meal for theft from a server at a restaurant... I personally wouldn't trust this place. We may have walked in with unreasonable expectations. While the live jazz music was really great, this venue needs to be bigger to have a live band. It was so loud that we had to speak directly into each other ears, and the staff had to lean in and yell when at our table. The staff was really great, very nice and attentive. We got a special burger and a fancy burger. Both were good, but the fancy burger with crab was not worth the $35. The fries were burned to the point of being uneditable. I ordered a $2.50 soft drink, and they brought out a can. The burned fries and can of soda detracted from what we thought would be a higher-end burger experience. 2 burgers, 1 can of soda, 1 order of fries, and a $5 per person cover charge for the live music: $70. I came with coworkers for lunch on a recommendation from a friend. I got the classic burger and fries. The burger was not fancy looking, but the flavor came through. The fries had a perfect outside crisp. We shared a cazookie. It was carmelized just right-- yum! I expect the ambience at dinnertime might be more upscale. I saw a piano, so they may have live music at night. In the daytime, it lacked a little posh that I they might be able to pull off for the dinner crowd. read more

We tried the fancy burger and the simple burger, both were excellent. The fancy burger was completely over the top and pretty expensive but I would definitely go back for the simple double cheeseburger. The fries are also excellent as was the beet and citrus salad. The only issue is that our server was the only server in the restaurant and she overwhelmed and too busy. This place is just cool. Not like a, "meh, it's cool." type of cool, but an old school Miles Davis, Steve McQueen, James Dean kind of cool. It's a complete out of this time experience. We've been to old prohibition age jazz clubs and speakeasies in Kansas City and, strange as it sounds, Fancy Burger in Orem, UT is right on par. We have Yelp to thank for guiding us here on a Saturday evening when the BBQ place down the street was out of everything. We had zero expectations upon arrival and we left with our minds completely blown. The dining room is pretty small, but it is decked to the 9s in moody upscale fancy. We were seated in a cozy booth toward the back. Moments after getting settled we were greeted by Mr. Fancy in the flesh. He may have been the owner, he may have been just a fantastic manager with keen attention to detail, he may have been Tony Stark or all of the above. One thing is certain, this guy typified the fancy vibe and he made us feel welcome from the very start. Mr. Fancy acquainted us briefly with the establishment and their offerings and he took our beverage order. A place such as this calls for a cocktail to keep with the fancy flair. I went with a "Whiskey Smash" which is the house take on an old fashioned. My date had a "French Lemon Drop". Both drinks were outstanding. Don't tell the DABC, but from our vantage, I could see Mr. Fancy expertly crafting our beverages personally behind the mysterious Zion Curtain. There are obviously no limits to this man's skill. After delivering our beverages, Mr. Fancy introduced us to our server who offered her recommendations on the menu and answered all of our many questions. My date ordered the "Caprese burger" which is a double smash burger with heirloom tomatoes, garlic mozzarella, and a balsamic glaze. I had a "Classic" which is a regular double smash burger with cheese and we ordered a plate of rosemary fries to share. When the food arrived, I instantly regretted my safe order coveting my date's Caprese masterpiece. The burgers were both excellent, but hers was definitely the one to come back for. Just before bringing the check, our server explained that there was a $10 cover charge for the live music and that the cover goes straight to the band. I could tell just by her delivery that the cover charge is often received with a great deal of skepticism by locals with notoriously tight wallets. We were more than happy to contribute to the talented musicians that were an unexpected, but very welcome addition to our date night. Two burgers, two cocktails, a soda, and an order of fries ran us a bill of $62 not including the cover charge or a generous tip for excellent service. We will be back for sure. I only wish they were closer to downtown SLC. read more

Ok folks...truly best burger ever. I've had a lot of burgers around the world and this one is right there, probably the best. Smashed patties with bacon mixed in. Lucious lettuce and tomato. Amazing cheese with real flavor. And the bun!....my god the house-made bun. Sooo good. Two style of fries...thin and crispy or thicker steak fries. But those steak fries are so soft and puffy inside, crunchy outside. We started with their salad which was so delicious. And they have beer/cocktails! And we were seated like at a real "fancy" restaurant. The owner served us. Super friendly and kind, super invested in making the business great. We chatted and she was delightful. She told us about the food and how they're new and growing, learning. Can't recommend more highly. Reasonable prices for what you get. Let's keep places like this around for the long-term. read more

Incredible burger! We went to fancy burger last night and each had the double cheeseburger for $10, and our table split an order of fries! So good! My husband ordered extra tomatoes and was served a small stack of tomatoes on the side. Which were red, ripe and juicy! The lettuce is a fresh, crisp butter lettuce! The blend of tomato, lettuce, juicy meat and cheese is so perfect! Evidently the meat is not regular ground beef, it is 3 cuts of meat including steak and a little bacon. Add all that to the house made pillowy buns , mmmmm ,delectable! We split the fancy king crab burger last week for $48 and it was incredible! It came out on a hot plate of drawn butter to dip! Our other favorite was The raspberry malt. It is to die for, 18 oz in a metal goblet . The place is upscale and classy. The service was top notch ! Highly recommend! read more

This place is amazing!! We decided to drop in for lunch after hearing about their special burgers and were lucky enough to try their "Fancy burgers". Seeing a beef wellington burger on a menu will give you apprehension, but in the end, it was amazing! One of the best wellington I have ever had, and it was part of a burger. To top it off, the mashed potatoes were some of the smoothest I have ever had with a delicious marsala sauce. The caprese burger was also delicious, and worth trying out. Also, don't forget to get a side of their rosemary fries, they are crispy and the thankfully, the rosemary was not overwhelming. The French onion soup is to die for and make sure you save room for the cazookie. The food is absolutely wonder, my partner and I are typically here once a week for a fun date night. Before I praise them too much I must voice a pretty big complaint. When it comes to their live music nights they are not the best. The musicians are amazing, but the space is too small so the music is very loud. The big issue is they automatically charge $5 per person when there is live music. Ive been to many nice restaurants where they provide the music for free, and if that's too much at least only charge the party not each person. Other then that the service is amazing and friendly.The rosemary fries are delicious and borderline perfect. the salad is one of the best I've had and of course the burgers all take the cake. Whcih leads me to say the dessert is also phenomenal. the only complaint is the live music nights. Just call ahead to see if there is a live music night if you don't want to pay $5 extra per person. read more

I would give it a 1/2 star if I could. We went in around 5:00 for an early dinner. We are visiting from out of state and we found a Google review with a 4.7 star review, so we decided to give it a try. There weren't very many people in the restaurant at that time, so we expected the service to great, but NOT! We were a little shocked to see a "Fancy" burger offered at $32.00! They also offer a classic burger (1 VERY thin patty, 3 oz) then they offer a Deluxe classic burger with lettuce & tomatoes for an additional $3.50, really?! We also ordered some fries (small bowl) nothing special for $5.50. I consider myself a foodie and eat out quite a bit, all over the world. This place did NOT impress me in any category. We had to ask for napkins and utensils. They brought out some black napkins and one fork & knife. My MIL asked if she could have a set of utensils, so they brought her a fork & knife. They waiter looked at my husband and said ok, there you go let me know if you need anything else. We looked at each other and said " why wouldn't they bring a set of utensils for every person at the table?" ‍ This restaurant is also very protected of the water they serve. They gave us some tiny glasses, maybe 4 oz. glasses. Ok, the ONLY thing I was impressed with and enjoyed, was the Hokkaido bun! It was very light and fluffy and tasted good. Food was excellent! However, I could have without the $5 per person surcharge two-piece jazz playing in the background (which we had no idea until we got the bill). Not that they are asking for my advice but there were people waiting at the door while we were there (we had to sit at the bar). With the limited seating, they should use the space for tables rather than giving a third of the space to live jazz. read more

The beef was good. The bun was good. But FAKE CHEESE?! How does a supposedly gourmet joint get away with using garbage American cheese? And the burger was very salty. The beef patties are very thin.
