We were pleasantly surprised at this food truck, and we will absolutely return. They might just have some of the best chicken strips in the area (shhh, don't tell anyone!), and the burgers were great too. The price is extremely reasonable for what you get, and the food is fresh. We got two burgers, some chicken strips, and an agua fresca (cucumber lime mint). The burgers were cooked medium-well, so a little pink remained. I hate when burgers are overcooked and dry, so this was a nice surprise. The grilled onions were especially good. Overall we felt it was a good value for a truck burger and the portions were great without being unnecessarily small or large. The double cheeseburger was $6.50, the single was $4.98. I was shocked at how reasonable the pricing was, most places these days want to charge you $15 for a garbage diner burger. The chicken strips were amazing, and the highlight of the meal. They had a delicious light and crispy batter that was such a nice change from the standard frozen-bag garbage that you get at so many food trucks these days. The chicken was juicy and tender. I think these might be some of the best chicken strips you can get in Saratoga Springs, no joke. The service was great, we spoke with the owner for a bit and he was very friendly. The menu was easy to understand. I think the prices are really reasonable given how expensive everything is right now, most places would be charging double. Definitely give this place a try on your way home from Costco or Smiths. We were surprised; it feels like disappointment is a regular thing these days with eating out. read more

Decided to try out this food truck today and it was great! Me and my wife ordered two burgers, fries, a 3 piece chicken tender, and an agua fresca (horchata) . If you like in n out animal fries I recommend the loaded fries. Good: The food was super fresh, burgers were good nothing crazy. The chicken tenders were amazing though, super fresh and juicy. Their dipping sauce is great too. Bad: My only complaint was the horchata. I thought it tasted very watered down. Overall: This a great place to go to if you're around. It's a food truck so plan to take it home or eat it in your car. The owner was super friendly and loves what he does. I'll definitely be coming back! read more

Papayas Grill is a new food truck stationed in the parking lot of the Chevron. I ordered the double papayas burger and my wife got the classic single. We also ordered the fries and churros. The burgers were quite tasty. Nothing really spectacular, but they were good and well made. Price was great for what you got. The fries were good but honestly tasted like grocery store frozen fries. The churros were quite good. I was expecting some sort of papaya tie-in with the burgers but they were just your run-of-the-mill burgers. They have quite a few sauces that are also very good. We tried the Cooper sauce and the Papaya sauce. The staff was super friendly and informative. read more

Terrible terrible experience. My husband got food poisoning here this weekend. He got cheeseburgers and fries with meat on it. He was the only one who ate it thank goodness. Never coming here again. Nice people but caused this hardship for us. It was a terrible few days for my husband. He has a tough stomach and for him to go through this means the food was so contaminated. Advising family and friends not to go here. read more

Wow! I am very surprised at how good papayas food truck is. I was pulling into the chevron in Saratoga springs and saw the truck and people ordering, gas station clerk recommended it and was eating the loaded fries. I ordered the Papya double cheeseburger and the loaded fries with grilled jalapeños. OMFG. It is so good. The price was $12 which is ridiculous for this high quality of food. I highly recommend you try it out. The guy working the truck was named Edgar, he might be the owner. He was incredibly nice and very professional. tl;dr Pros: Surprisingly formidable for a new establishment. Good burgers, solid chicken strips, all at reasonable prices. Cons: Fries were bad, more of a carrier of sauce. No outside seating, but given that this is a food truck outside of a gas station, I don't have much room to complain otherwise. Disclaimer: This food truck is ran by my neighbor, so keep that in mind while reading this review. He gave me a stamp card that gave me a free cheeseburger on my first outing. Looking at the menu, it seems kinda weird that this is more of an American-style food truck; I was expecting some kind of Southern American fusion cuisine based on the name, but the most fusion-y thing on the menu was some jalapeno fries and some churros. For my first order, I got the aforementioned free cheeseburger with a side of fries and some chicken strips. The cheeseburger heavily reminded me of something from In-N-Out, which is fairly impressive; nothing special, mind, but comparing this new food truck to something from a chain restaurant is fairly impressive. The chicken strips were pretty moist on the inside, but crunchy on the outside, already a good sign. Most of the seasoning is concentrated in the breading however, and the taste otherwise is kinda eh. Would definitely get a sauce to accompany it. The fries are easily the worst part of the meal. They were more like something you could find from a grocery store -- not crispy at all, no seasoning, and bland. Definitely more intended for carrying sauce or for the jalapeno fries on the menu. Overall a pretty solid new joint with plenty of room for growth and improvement. Looking forward to what they do in the future. read more
