We want to be very clear: we are experienced pet owners with cats we love and care for. We came to Fancy Cats & Dogs Rescue Team genuinely hoping to give a cat a good home. What we experienced was one of the most hypocritical, condescending interactions we've had with any organization. Our application was denied, not based on any current concerns, but because of a previous application we submitted years ago. Their objection? That we don't take our cats to the vet on their preferred schedule. Our cats are healthy, loved, and well cared for, but apparently Fancy Cats has decided their personal standards override everything else, including common sense. Here's the part that's truly galling: when we visited to meet the cat we wanted to adopt, we found him in genuinely distressing condition. He was matted to the skin, dirty, had a visible skin rash caused by the matting, and had feces in his fur. He was kept in a cage and fed low-quality food. This is not a rescue organization stretched thin in an emergency, this is an organization that rejected our application while allowing an animal in their direct care to suffer from basic neglect. Let that sink in. They decided we weren't qualified to adopt a cat. Meanwhile, that cat was sitting in a cage, unbrushed, unwashed, rashy, and soiled, on their watch. If your mission is genuinely the welfare of these animals, start with the ones already under your roof. The self-righteous gatekeeping, the years-old grudges applied against prospective adopters, and the complete absence of self-awareness about conditions in your own facility are disqualifying. Rescues that prioritize their own judgment over animal outcomes are not the heroes they think they are. This cat would have been better off with us. That's the only thing we know for certain after this experience. read more

Update: the response to my review is full of excuses and thanks for removing her from the website to act like you weren't in the wrong in the first place. :) I have always had an uneasy feeling about trying to adopt through this organization. I am not sure why, but they make it extremely difficult to adopt an animal. A few months back, we saw a cat at the Springfield Petsmart that we thought would be a good match for our cat at home who needs a playmate. The cashier told us we should come the next day to the adoption event to meet him. We arrived there early and everything was already set up. We asked to meet the cat we were interested in. We were told that he had someone coming in to meet him already so we could not. We did not realize they placed cats on hold and we left. Last week we decided that to make an appointment to meet another cat, one that sounded exactly like ours at home. We met up at Fair Oaks Petsmart with the foster parent. The cat was anxious, which is completely understandable. But what made us uneasy was the fact that this cat was totally attached to her foster parent. It was so obvious the cat was in love with them. So, we went to lunch after telling the foster we wanted to talk it over and get back to them. My daughter and I were struggling with knowing how attached this cat was to the foster parent. We talked it over and decided, yes, it sucks taking her away from what she knows but, this cat seems like the perfect match for our cat. Let's go for it. We text the foster parent we wanted to go to the next step (this is all less than an hour later), they said great...but then a few minutes later, they text that someone else was putting in an application for the cat and apologized. Now, I thought they put cats on hold, based on the experience we had a few months ago. It seems they pick and choose who they will be willing to do that for. And yet, this cat IS STILL ON THE WEBSITE. Not sure why we were taken out of consideration, we were lied to. I will not let this place let my family down a third time. Do yourself a favor and visit the shelters instead if you are thinking about adopting through them. Terrible organization. read more

We adopted a wonderful pair of kittens. We already have two older cats so they have a smart policy of adopting kittens out in pairs if they won't have a playmate at home. Two kittens can play and teach each other without bothering the other cats. What a great idea. The kittens were already very well socialized and their foster mom was wonderful to meet. We still keep in contact with her and share photos of the wonderful kittens she raised. I'm so glad there are rescue orgs like fancy cats out there trying to help reduce the stray population and find homes for animals in need. read more

My daughter adopted a dog from this place.. She adopted a dog (despite my approval) but worked something out with her Dad who doesn't live in the home. Here's the problems.. They require you to be 21, my daughter is 18 the dog is aggressive and its noted in her paperwork that she's not ok around small animals- we have cats in house Dad situation doesn't work out, dog comes here. She doesn't fit in. My daughter tries to get dog to not bite at people and cats, it doesn't work. Their contract (I work with rescue organizations) states bring animal back to us if you can't keep it Daughter contacts organization, and that's when we get Meghan. Meghan accuses my daughter of mistreating the animal (aggression) Meghan only texts rather than calling I left a message for Meghan, two days go by and I get no response I call her and tell her if she doesn't call me back, we have no choice but to take the dog to the county shelter She texts me (I'm 40! I don't need a text- I called you and you should have respectfully called me back) Instead, at almost 10pm, I get a text threatening me with a lawyer and other nonsense, AND doesn't bother to answer my question about what medical updates needed to be done (I called and left a message for her asking what medical updates needed to be done and this is the message folks that she ignored) and instead continued to text back and forth threatening me. great that they save animals however after dealing with Meghan and the other organizations that I personally volunteer for I'd say run, far, and stay away. Fancy cats is a great adoption organization, we have a beautiful female cat whom we adopted as a kitten, and she's now almost 1years old. I appreciated they had a folder for her of her history at the adoption, they had their requirements, but as they should to be sure that their rescues are going to good homes. The cat we got was well taken care of by her foster before we got her, she was healthy, potty trained and is such a good cat. W eadopted a cat from Fair Lakes Petsmart. We were specifically looking for a male cat orange with white. This is because we already have two female cats. We found one! The volunteer/worker lady helping us took hum out and we held him and ended up adopting. One week later we get a text saying they gave us the wrong cat. That we ended up with his sister. Yes, another female. Thete was NO apology, just a, bring the medical records back to us so that we can give it to the adopters of the other cat. Unbelievable! It's not like you forgot a signature or something; you gave us the wrong cat! By then, we had already fallen in love with our now female cat , but still really bitter on how it was handled. Not only that, but we ended up paying 250$ for the adoption, which was 50$ more than the sticker price on the cage. We didn't say anything at the time because, hey, it's a non-profit for animals right? Anyway, we feel cheated and the manner in which it was carried out was really unprofessional and straight up rude. Never again. read more

We have a friend who has kittens and is looking for homes for them. She is going through Fancy Cats so this is why we completed an application with them. The kitten coordinator pushed the idea of adopting two kittens instead of one. Although we already have a cat and indicated on the app we are interested in one kitten specifically from our friend. They aren't very understanding or willing to be flexible. They make it difficult to adopt a cat and imply that you haven't done enough research to know the magnitude of adopting a kitten. After some time passed of our 15yo cat passed away, we saw a picture of Ziggy online. We filled out an application and sent a follow up email. They claim to contact you within 48 hours, which is bogus. They never responded to my email, but instead wrote to my husband stating that we'd have to adopt two kittens. No, sorry, if we wanted 2, we would have indicated that on the application. I've never heard of another rescue organization pushing more than a single pet on a willing adopter. Drove about 2 hours to visit an adoption event with my fiancee. Lady at the adoption event said they dont do out of state adoption. They'd rather let the cat sit in a cage. Also no point in going because the lady told us we'd have to go through the same process or filling out an application regardless of visiting or inquiring. Really? The whole point of an adoption event is to get the cats good homes. You might as well get kittens from a local farmer or litter. Cheaper and way less hassle. Nothing on website about applications at events and having to wait anyways or go through lengthy process of home visit. Hope people read this. The amount of time spent trying to adopt is not worth it. -adding to this Director of Fancy Cats reached out to me via Yelp. My experience may be unique but I actually had a great experience. We submitted an application for a dog which was apparently already adopted. However, they mentioned they had another dog that was arriving soon and we could foster to adopt aka essentially a two week trial period. They met us and we took our new friend home. We decided very quickly he was a member of the family and we were adopting him! The experience was very easy and smooth for us, like I said we may be an outlier but had a great experience. read more

About three years ago I found Fancy cats at a specialty pet store (Chico's Pet Depot) near my home. My older son really wanted us to adopt a cat so I kept coming by . Everyone was so kind and helpful! I really liked that the cats had a a large room to play and all cats looked happy and well taken care of! So I decided when we found our match it will be from this place. I finally found our match he was tiny and in need of some TLC so I decide that this little guy was going to come home with me! My sons and I were so happy when we were approved to take him home! He had a condition that was treated and needed to finish his shots. Megan who was then a volunteer came to my home and gave him the necessary shots!!! I was very greatfull and didn't expect her to go out of her way to make a house call. We really love our companion and he is now running the house hold lol!!! I would like to add that I buy all of my little guys food from that pet store and continue to stop by the fancy cats room. Volunteers are all ways keeping those guys well taken care of. And Megan now managing the Fancy Cats location has really made things run smooth! I love how much she cares for those little guys and cares for there well being. I highly recommend that if you have room in your heart and home for a furry companion you adopt from here. Wish I'd read some of the reviews here before I bothered with this organization. Contrary to their boastful claim on their website, I can testify that they do indeed discriminate on the basis of age. From reading other reviews, it seems they also discriminate against people they deem too young, first time pet owners, people whose houses they think aren't big enough, etc. They also appear to loathe personal contact as they do business strictly by email, and appear not to care whether or not their cats are adopted. I found them overall neglectful, rude and insulting. Judging from some of the unfortunate results when some people did manage to get past the discrimination hurdles, I think I actually dodged a bullet by not adopting from this agency. read more

Recently I was "given" an urgent issue with a nursing mama cat and her kittens. I called and emailed several agencies and organizations, asking for advice and assistance. I understand that that the organizations are run by volunteers and getting a response isn't always possible. I'm a long time volunteer in several groups and recognize the challenges. However, Cathy Awad of Fancy Cats & Dogs Rescue responded quickly and more than that, she was amazing. In a very short time, Cathy arranged what was a dream solution. I'm sorry to have to add my one star review to all of the other one star reviews here. I experienced what amounts to discrimination against people with disabilities at this organization, as well as a kitten who has a serious chronic health problem which wasn't revealed in his public profile. Policies that end up discriminating against people with disabilities often do not originate with that intent, but an ignorance of the issues combined with the refusal to speak with the people with disabilities to hear the situation and the solutions, take the discrimination to the level of intent. And that is what I experienced from fancy cats and dogs. I was refused a phone call or a conversation and I was further met with silence when I offered to help --for free-- to tweak their policies to make them more inclusive and less discriminatory. I can only imagine disinterest or ignorance or the lack of desire to take the extra little bit of time it would take to work with disabled prospective pet parents to hear their challenges and their solutions. That's especially disheartening because many of us in the disability community work from home and have a wonderful environment where animals can be given our full attention. So I'm sorry to say I found a lack of ethics in both the willingness to even engage in a short conversation with those who aren't able bodied or those with challenges that can be met with a little help and listening as well as the unethical practice of hiding the ill health of a posted animal. Not only people with disabilities, but also people without cars, people with low incomes, people who have had to move , have had deaths in the family, unemployment, divorce, displacement etc can experience challenges--sometimes even for several years--that can interrupt regular vaccines. However, for many people this is not a sign of neglect, but of a need for solutions. I've found solutions and would like to help others find solutions and to educate a place such as Fancy Cats and Dogs about how best to work with people who have disabilities and challenges. But they flatly aren't interested. Or it was perhaps one bad apple I dealt with who has tainted the whole organization. I would strongly encourage prospective pet parents who are looking for an ethical and compassionate adoption experience, transparency about the animals, and sincere desire to match pets and parents well, to look elsewhere. Also pet owners who are looking to place their furry family members up for adoption to do so elsewhere. The animals and the humans deserve better. read more

What a wonderful place to find a new pet! All communications were answered in 24-48 hours! They thoroughly ask questions and I wouldn't adopt from any place that didn't. They are completely looking for the perfect forever home for each one (and two, if you adopt kittens). I, too, asked them questions and they couldn't have been more helpful. When I first inquired about a kitten A, I found that A wouldn't be a good fit for us. However that foster told me about others that might work. It did, and we have the most perfect addition to our family! I read some of the posts.....in my opinion, I find it odd to "return" your cats after many years. Pets are family. Would you give up a child if it acted up and/or wasn't a cute baby any longer? If so, get a stuffed or robotic animal that is disposable. Not every human is qualified to have a real pet. read more

They rather stick to their STRICT rules then allow cats to be adopted. Me and my husband submitted and application for a cat after meeting it at Mount Purrnon a cat cafe in Alexandria, VA. The cat cafe was fantastic and it's disappointing that they work with a rescue like that and I understand now why some of their cats might be struggling to get adopted. The owner of Mount Purrnon seem to truly care about the cats he cares for and wants them to be adopted. So I will praise his business but this rescue is sad. Not allowing out of state adoption or adoption if outside a 50 mile radius, No first time pet adoption without an intense vet verifiable pet history is a lot. How are people who don't have those things supposed to give an animal a home? All and all very disappointing and I feel bad for the cats they are caring for. Maybe stop posting about how badly you need cats to be adopted on your Facebook and change your rules and start approving some adoption applications. read more

It was sometime ago but this experience is still in my mind so i am writing it down.. I came to fancy cat SPECIFICALLY looking for another cat friend for my cat at home. One cat caught my eye and the foster parent was so kind but she didn't know whether the cat would be good with other cats - she did a good job selling the cat, i asked a few questions to a fancy cat associate and they said she is great with other cats, no health issues. At home, I gave the new cat time to get accliminated, make her feel safe, and then introduced her to my cat. She was aggressive to my cat so I gave it time and monitored the situation. After a month or so, I would let them get more close to each other, my home cat sincerely just wants to play and would never harm her, the new cat would attack. My vet was unhappy. The new cat would vomit everywhere as well. I had to take her back after paying for all the adoption fees, just to find out while returning her, from another associate, that she was definitely not good with other cats.. (i mean, they lied on the paper and they don't know the cats they are putting up for adoption). I don't think her age was true from the paperwork either. She was definitely a sweet cat and was heartbreaking to have my home cat experience this, and having to take the new cat back made me feel terrible about myself Disorganized.. Adding my awful experience to the seemingly endless list of bad experiences here. Short story: FCRT knew my cat was FIV+ but **didn't tell me until after I signed the adoption paperwork.** Yeah. Long story: A couple weeks ago, I saw a post online for Frankie, a shy but sweet calico (posted separately by Frankie's foster mom, L; not on the Fancy Cats website). For the record, L was and continues to be wonderful - this rating has nothing to do with her. I did a virtual meet-and-greet with Frankie and L which went well, so L told me she'd tell Fancy Cats to keep an eye out for my application. After a few days, Fancy Cats asked L to contact me to see if I'd be interested in adopting. I thought that was weird - why would they ask the foster mom to reach out instead of doing it themselves? - but I said yes and made plans to meet Frankie and L at Fancy Cats's adoption fair the following weekend. In the days leading up to the adoption fair, L told me (truthfully) that Fancy Cats hadn't provided her with Frankie's medical records and that I should reach out directly to ask for them. When I did, Cathy Awad, the director, told me that they don't share medical records until adoption day. When I got to the fair, Cathy handed me paperwork to sign and asked for the $175 adoption fee. I saw in the fine print that one of the things you're agreeing to when you sign is that they've gone over the medical records for your cat(s) with you. I pointed that out and Cathy said, "Yeah yeah, we'll do that next." I was annoyed but kept filling out the paperwork and wrote her a check. As I was filling things out, Cathy told me that FCRT accidentally chipped Frankie twice because they didn't realize they'd already chipped her a few weeks earlier, even though I saw when I got home that her first chipping date was clearly written in her medical record.. Then, she flashed Frankie's medical records at me and said, "See, here's her rabies tag and everything. All of her stuff is normal." But as she started to put the paperwork away, I noticed the word "positive" circled at the bottom of the page and asked what had come back positive. She opened it back up, looked at it, and then in a casual tone of voice said, "Oh, I guess she has FIV." Stunned. Don't get me wrong - I know that FIV+ cats are adoptable. But like, call me crazy but I feel like a rescue team should tell me that a cat has a *contagious autoimmune disease* before I adopt her??? And then Cathy had the NERVE to be like "Listen, some cats have FIV, some don't. Some cats get sick, some don't. Cats without FIV get sick sometimes. Having an FIV+ cat is exactly the same experience as having an FIV- cat." Uh first of all, no it's not..?? It can be very similar but FIV+ cats are ineligible for pet insurance and there are restrictions you need to have in place for an FIV+ cat to keep them and other cats safe (no raw food allowed, have to keep a close eye on secondary infections, twice yearly exams instead of annual, can't go outside, etc.). And second, Cathy, were you trying to find Frankie the right forever home or were you *selling* her to me for $175?? JFC. Honestly, y'all, the main reason I went through with the adoption was because there was no way in hell I was leaving Frankie, this immunocompromised angel who was sitting so quietly and patiently in her carrier, with a shelter that clearly had no idea what they were doing and wouldn't take proper care of her. (Again, not a knock on L, who was doing a great job. I knew that wasn't going to be a forever situation, though.) I don't regret it - Frankie is perfect and I'm prepared to take care of her, whatever that means. But seriously, y'all, do not give this shelter your money. 0/10. Trash. read more

I am beyond pissed off so please forgive me for being a bit passionate. I went to PetSmart on Mar 9 and saw Red the sweet Tabby. Fell in love with him. He showed up at PetSmart only a day prior. I filled out an application that same day on the website. The application was ridiculous long and overly specific. I took it with a grain of salt because I really wanted Red. So the website says wait about two days hear something back about the application. I waited, now it is Mar 13. During that time I called three times and left two emails trying to figure out the status of my application. When you call you automatically can only leave a voicemail and HOPE someone responds. Today I received a limp email about how the adoption fair is today and explained that I couldn't go do to my job. My boyfriend was sweet to try to surprise me with Red since I couldn't make it. He waited 30 minutes before anyone acknowledged him and then it turned out another family adopted Red. What made me more mad was how they lied to my boyfriend saying that they emailed me that a family adopted him before me! The family filled out the application there and took the cat the same day!! What the HELL is the point of filling out the application online if you are just going to do first come, first served at your fairs!!!! Absolutely irresponsible and unprofessional!!! This was an awful experience! They ONLY CARE ABOUT THE MONEY! If you aren't there waving $175 in their face then you don't exist! They don't give a damn about the safety of the cats they give away cause if they did they would have followed up with me! They will just put cats in possible unsafe situations for the money. I applied to adopt a specific cat and was very disappointed. You have to live within a certain distance to adopt an animal from here, which I think is not putting the animal first. A loving home is a loving home. Many rescue organizations allow long distance adoptions through volunteers willing to do an animal relay! I wanted to come pick up the furbaby myself, but won't even be considered because I'm too far away? In the same state no less. For shame. read more

This rescue organization is obviously not really interested in placing animals with qualified people, as they seem to have a history of rejecting applicants for bogus reasons. I helped my mother apply for a cat they listed on Petfinder and after completing their very long application, we got a one line email saying that we were "out of their area" and we should adopt a pet locally. Note, we live in the Washington DC metropolitan area, probably only a 35 minute drive from this rescue. Also, it is not listed on their policies anywhere that they sent people based on where you live. I think it's sad that thousands of pets are euthanized every year, and organizations like this one and denying pets good homes for stupid reasons. Find a different place to adopt your pet, or be ready to face random discrimination based on where you live if you work with this rescue. read more

I was a little nervous to visit their adoption fair (PetSmart at Fair Oaks) from reading all these Yelp reviews, but my experience with Fancy Cats turned out wonderful! I visited the fair in July. I never had a cat before so I had very little expectation that they would approve my application, but they did! The questions they asked me were also very helpful and I can sense that they were looking for the best matches for their cats. The staffs were very helpful too. On my first visit, I asked one of the staffs about the cat I was interested in, and since she wasn't at the event on that day, they connected me with the foster mom on the phone right away. I ended up adopting another cat, and I have been very happy with my girl ever since. What they're doing is definitely something not everyone can do. Just imagine how much time and effort the volunteers devote to run the organization, purely out of their love of animals. I have huge respects for them. If you are serious about adopting a pet and show them you are willing to take responsibilities, they won't turn you down. Thank you Fancy Cats for all your hard works! read more

I just adopted a cat from Fancy Cats. I can not say enough positive about the experience. The foster parents were extremely honest about the cat's personality and health and it was obvious that they were very attached to him. They spent a lot of effort taking him to the vet and getting blood results so I would not have to traumatize him. They are constant support during these early days....always available to give wonderful advice to help ease his anxiety (and mine.) They delivered him to my home personally with all of his equipment and a food supply. I have never adopted from a rescue....usually a shelter, a relative, or a stray so this was a totally different experience. I was also so impressed by the important questions on the initial application. And best of all, now Cisco is racing around my condo! read more

When I needed someone to help me trap a little kitty who is trying to survive in my high rise's parking lot in the cold, rain and snow, I contacted 4 different rescuers and organizations -- Fancy Cats (Pam, and CIndy) were the only ones who said "We will be there to help!" And Cindy was there the Very Next Day!!! She set up the trap, very patiently showed me how to bait it and how to set the trap door, left me with more food and dishes and answered all my questions. I have always been impressed at how hard these wonderful folks at Fancy Cats work with ferals and fosters. I'm very happy they helped me out!! read more

I had a great, easy experience adopting two kittens from this rescue. The kittens were friendly and adjusted great to my other cats. I still keep in touch with the wonderful lady who fostered my kittens. I would highly recommend adopting a pet from them. read more

Absolutely horrible experience with this organization. They only responded to me when I called them out on social media. I did have a nice chat with one lady from the organization. She said that she would try to find a suitable cat for my elderly friend. Then nothing. No follow up. Nothing. I filled out two applications. Nothing. Do not waste your time They would rather have cats live in cages their whole lives than let them be adopted to perfectly acceptable and loving homes. These people are more willing to hold on to their rigid rules than giving the animals a chance to have a good life. I visited one of their adoption events and fell in love with one of the cats. When I asked to adopt the cat, they told me I would have to adopt in pair. I told her I was actively looking for 2 cats to adopt but will adopt a second one somewhere else in a short amount of time. I needed time to find the right fit. She said I would have to adopt 2 cats there at the same time, or I would need to already have another cat ready at home. I understand the social reason but am appalled at the rigidity in their rules. They are willing to let good families walk away and willing to let their animals continue to live in cages. read more

This place is sickening. I adopted two kittens from a "rescue" at petsmart and they did NOT let me hold either of the kittens, they just shoved them in a box and told me to leave. It was disgusting what I found at home. Both of the kittens suffer from B12 deficiency and other GI disorders. They poop everywhere and the diarrhoea is very bad. NO WHERE in the 4 page adoption paper did they say that they were ill and the shitty "agreement" at the bottom is just gross. It states: "We do not guarantee the health of any animals offered for adoption. Any time you adopt an animal, you should take it to a licensed veterinarian as soon as possible. Your animal is, to the best of our knowledge, healthy, but will need to be started immediately on a program of preventative veterinary care. Please be aware that the animals available for adoption are rescue animals and, as such, have often been exposed to a variety of diseases. Like human illnesses, these disorders can have an incubation period of up to several weeks. If the animal you adopt shows signs of illness at any point, you must take it promptly to your veterinarian for treatment at your expense. I have read and understand this disclaimer." The foster said NOTHING about any of this and the bills to treat these poor things are very expensive. Another instance of this is I fell in love with a cat from the organization and for two days I tried my best to get him in *my* hands but after we had gone through painful paperwork the company emailed me back saying the cat was adopted before I did anything. He was there BOTH days I went there so I just don't understand. All in all the staff are rude, careless and just disgusting people for even supporting this "rescue" organization. There were multiple sick cats and terrified kittens at all the adoption fairs and I sincerely hope that they get sued or shut down. read more

I am waiting this review to try & save others the heartache & misery that we just went through. My girlfriend wanted a companion, she did a lot of research & ended up deciding that she wanted a more mature cat as a pet. She found Fancy cats on line & drove out to see a foster cat in Herndon. The cat ended up not being the one but the organization told her to stop at an event in a Northern VA Pet Smart. There she found exactly what she wanted, a 6/7 yr old who seemed perfect, that Saturday she took her home. She became concerned about her new pet over the next couple of days, she did not seem to be eating or drinking or even using the litter box. She set up a check up for her new cat on Monday. When she left the vet that day she had learned that everything she had been told was not true. The cat was MUCH older, had a bunch of minor issues with its health & more importantly was severely dehydrated and malnourished & had a bad respiratory infection, she was put on a strict regimen of feeding & medication. We attempted to contact Fancy Cats & heard nothing. The cat did not improve & was taken back to the vet on a Tuesday, 3 days after her adoption. After a day at the vet the cat came home w/a feeding tube, the vet speculated that the cat was well into her teens & dying of cancer. When we approached Fancy Cats with this revelation they said that they had done nothing wrong. The end of the story is that after a heart wrenching week of bonding with & trying to save a dying animal, my girlfriend ended up dropping her off at an emergency vet office in N VA. no one from the organization even bothered to show up. If you are looking at adopting through this organization DONT. either they are totally incompetent-supposedly the cat had a thorough vet check before we got her- or they are just downright crooks, either one will not serve you well when looking for a pet, let alone being out a small fortune in vet bills. The vet that we went to in Kensington confirmed that either the vet they supposedly used was incompetent or they just lied to send the cat out for adoption. All of their cats are posted as being located in Herndon when they are actually in Alexandria. In addition to that being a 30 mile difference, Alexandria is notorious for having zero parking and an extremely aggressive parking authority that tickets everyone at the drop of a hat. They need to be honest on the pet finder sites and state where the cats are actually physically located. The business p.o. box is the only thing in Herndon. read more
