My previous powdered gel manicure was looking tacky, I was way overdue for a manicure. I also needed a pedicure, ASAP. I called to make sure they were open, as today is a holiday (10/09-2023). A very pleasant man answered and asked what service(s) I needed and told me I could come right over. I arrived about 10:30 to a very spacious and super clean salon. Benny greeted me warmly and got right to work. I was pleased that he soaked off the gel instead of filing it off. This is so much better for the health of the nails. Benny was extremely gentle yet thorough with my pedicure. The foot massage was heavenly! I decided to get a regular manicure to give my nails a break. This meant sitting under the dryer to set my nail polish. Remember we used to do that religiously before the gels came along? And of course, one nail was smeared while going into my pocketbook to get my wallet. Benny promptly fixed it for me and was really pleasant about it! I am very happy with how my nails came out and the quality of the service I received. This will be my go to salon when I'm in the Suffolk County area! I look forward to returning.

From the beginning everything was being extremely rushed. The person finished in less than 15 mins. There was a man who was mopping the floor and standing at the door waiting to leave. As I'm sitting to dry my toes the lady at the register asks me to pay now so that she can "close the machine" now it's 6:20pm. So I asked her "what time do you close?" Because now I know they're trying to get me out. The man says 7pm. "My daughter has a fever so we want to leave early" and the child was sleeping on the chair up front. so then why did they agree to take me in when they could've easily told me they were closing early. I would've understood 100% but instead they took me in and rushed and made me feel so uncomfortable. I would not come back.

When they apologized, I was completely understanding and told them it was no big deal at all. I then had a pedicure and a manicure. I had regular Color Street polish on my nails, not gel. The nail tech initially tried removing it with a cotton ball, but because Color Street can be a little more difficult to remove, she ended up using the nail tool to get the rest off. When it was time to pay, I was charged $20 for the manicure, even though I didn't even get polish put on. When I questioned why it was $20, the nail tech explained that Judy, the owner, saw her using the tool to remove my polish and told her to charge me an additional $5. That honestly really rubbed me the wrong way. This was REGULAR nail polish, not gel, acrylic, dip, or anything else that would normally require a special removal service. It simply needed a little more time to remove. After being a loyal customer for over a decade, waiting 30 minutes past my scheduled appointment without complaining, and being completely understanding about the delay, I found it incredibly petty to then add an extra $5 charge because my regular polish took a little longer to remove. It's not about the $5. It's about how you treat a longtime, loyal customer. I would never have expected something like this after coming here for so many years. Unfortunately, they lost a customer over it.
