I've been going to Fancy Nails for YEARS! was very happy with results and personnel in past. NOT this new regime of workers! they don't listen to what you want, the quality is horrible (I got THREE layers of dip on my nails and it's like pillows/so convex on them); the person doing my nails was so busy watching another tech, took forever doing my nails, was constantly paying attention to others. That was the last straw. I'm so sad to not be going back here. It was like going home in the past but not now....all young puppies who don't know what they're doing. And RUDE. read more

Overall the service was not bad. The nails turned out pretty good. The only issue was that the staff knew barely any English, so it was a little bit difficult to communicate to them about what I wanted. I walked in without an appointment and had to wait for an opening which is expected and not an issue but when i got my nails done they turned out not how I was wanting. The guy that did my nails put the acrylic on my nails first before cutting and shaping them which was odd, i then asked for a different color than the one he had before he put it on my nails and he didn't listen and proceeded to put a red on my nails rather than orange. Acrylic nails for over 30 years And have never had a nail fungus until going there. I get my nails done consistently every two weeks so I should never have a nail fungus. They also use old acrylic! The nail tech did not even know that there was fungus, even when I ask them is this nail fungus they told me no so than the fungus crew for another two weeks! Do you not go there!! read more

So I called to make an appointment and I was told the amount would be $32 to get my old nails taken off and a new set of gel nails put on right so I get there and she offers me a different type of nail and I said no again I would just like the $32 deal that we talked about she continues to do my nails puts one of them on crooked twice then I get to the counter and she tells me I owe her $50 I said that's not what we agreed on she rambled on for a minute and then said $32 next Time and I'm sorry but there will not be a next time that's ridiculous nail salon should have a set price and not change it up on people whenever they feel like it read more

I'm from out of town and was in the area for a wedding. Three of us wanted manicures and pedicures before the rehearsal dinner. We made an appointment at Fancy Nails a few days ahead of time thinking it would be easier for us to keep to our busy wedding schedule rather than gambling with our time by just walking in. Our appointment was for 2PM and by 2:45 they still had not even started any of our services! They said they were expecting us but didn't prioritize us ahead of any of their walk-on customers. There were only two people working and one of them was working on walk-in customers. I finally told the guy that if he was going to be the only person working on ALL THREE of our mani/pedis then we were all going to be late for the wedding rehearsal. He didn't seem to understand why that was a problem. I reminded him that we had an appointment and that he still has us wait for more than 45 minutes. He apologized. After that we all got super-rush-job services which meant crappy foot and hand massages and smudged nails. If there was another salon in the area that could've taken the three of us at the last minute, we would've walked out. Trust me. We called around! At least the other nail salon had the courtesy of telling us that they couldn't fit us in. I gave it 1 Star because my nails did look very nice when I left the salon. But they got smudged because I didn't have enough time for them to dry fully before I had to hurry to get ready for the rehearsal. Pros: pretty nails, they rarely turn away walk-ins Cons: over-priced, cold pedi soak tub (because I sat there for so long waiting), unprofessional, making an appointment is a joke, either understaffed or poor management of employees, half-ass massages during manicures and pedicures, small collection of polish colors, I could go on and on.... While the salon was clean, there were only two people working and it was very busy so the wait was long for those around me. The woman who did my nails was polite but did not do a very good job on my nails. I had a fill with gel polish. The color I selected needed three coats which she didn't do and my nails were left with holes in the color. She did not check how I wanted my nails shaped. & there were imperfections left in the color. They don't accept tips on card so you have to bring cash. read more

Fast forward one year.....this salon has new ownership and when i called they told me they did the "dip" for manicures. It has been less than one week and my nails look awful! My daughter had her nails done as well and again, her nails are chipping already after the dip for nails. They should last at least 3 to 4 weeks.....and it wasn't cheap! Just no. I had an appointment for a mani/pedi but as others had mentioned, they take walk in's. So, that puts the people with actual appointments behind. I do not feel this place is clean at all. The chairs are not comfortable to sit in. But it was just the staff. I sat in cold water on my feet for about 20 mins. As they were busy taking walk in people. The pedi was okay-the polish color I picked was nice but my toes are uneven in length. And there are gaps with the polish on the sides. Arg. This is also true for my fingernails---why in the world isn't the whole nail covered?? It looks terrible! We'll see how long my toe polish lasts, as my nail polish is already chipping. SO that was the first of my $20 wasted. Now onto the other $20 for my mani. Um, just not a good job. First of all, the entire nail on almost every finger is not covered completely in polish. She did two coats & still didn't coat the nails evenly on each side. It looks AWFUL. I was told to go sit under the nasty uv lighting table to help dry my nails but they never told me I was done. (sorry, this was a gift & I don't know the drill---get up after 5 mins? 30 mins?) The lady next to me grew impatient & got up & left---so I joined her---but I was there about 25 mins. But here's the kicker, my polish-after drying for over 2 hours-still smudged. After all that time, 5 of my 10 nails smudged. I did nothing heavy-like dishes or anything-I was making sure. But they still managed to be smudged after all that drying time. My friend told me to go back in & they'd hopefully might fix it but I couldn't, nor did I want to waste more time on nails that were done very poorly in the first place. This was just a huge disappointment & a huge waste of money! Since this isn't a norm for me to do like many other people, the only thing I suggest is to find a different place other than this one for this service--ANY other place. It is not worth the time & money for a awful job. Very disappointed, will not return or recommend. read more

What was amazing, in addition to the wonderful job done on my nails, was watching this husband and wife duo care for the store. I arrived and they weren't even busy and they made a big deal about being 10 minutes late. This mind you is a place that takes walk ins and as I said they were not busy. I should of left at that point... When I asked for a french tip for the manicure the man that I was stuck with starting going on and on about how my nails were too short for french tip. Yes, I do have short nails but I have had multiple manicures in my lifetime with french tip and no ones made a big deal about it. This man kept pointing to the person next to me saying she had nice nails and that I should work on having nice nails like that. He wouldn't stop. I stopped by Fancy Nails on a Saturday afternoon, and asked a young man if he could take a walk-in appointment for a manicure. It was the WORST manicure I've ever seen. It was sloppy. There was smeared nail polish all over the sides of my nails. It was basically, just a mess. The salon was also dirty, and had a very unprofessional atmosphere. I will NEVER go back, and am writing this in the hopes that it prevents someone else from handing over their hard-earned money to this establishment. read more
