I went into Custom Ink & Steel to get my nose pierced and was completely surprised by the atmosphere in this shop, the staff was so welcoming and willing to help. I have now received 2 tattoos from Evan Oslund he does AMAZING work, he is also very friendly and talks to you the whole time, which is a big plus in my opinion. When I arrived, I selected from a bunch of cute stud options that are also available to peruse online before your appointment if you like extra time to decide. Nurse Gabrielle was so kind and professional. I noticed the care taken to maintain a hygienic environment with cleaning/gloving before and after the procedure. I was given aftercare instructions and elected to purchase Rowan's cleaning spray. I give Rowan my highest recommendation for service, cleanliness, and patient care. :)

We originally wanted to use just a needle, but they were pushing to use the piercing device the entire time. As soon as she confirmed the appointment, she asked if we wanted to change it to the piercing device. Obviously the workers do not choose the prices or what is on the tables, but the piercer Miranda was being very rude about the weird advertising on the jewelry. Another customer asked what it meant and she just told her to ignore it. Other customers in the building were also shocked by the passive aggressive comments. We spoke with other customers who said they were uncomfortable with the service. A lot of the signage was unclear and when we had a question about the jewelry or the piercing, she was rude and snarky. If anyone wanted to do a needle piercing, this was not the place to do it. The piercings we got look good... but at what cost?
