Fandango certainly tries its best to compete with auction rooms. It is quite tiny when you first enter but it has an outdoorsy area in the back. Though open with certain winged visitors and the drafty wind, you are provide with colourful throws to warm yourself, a buzzer to request service and potted plants for chlorophyll and oxygen. My friend and I waited outside on a bench and were provided service after 10 minutes. The coffees were good with a slightly bitter after-taste but still creamy. My friend described it as not being strong enough. I ordered the curried chickpeas with fried eggs, roti, creamy yoghurt and eggplant pickle. I got a large dish of chickpeas with a very large roti, two fried eggs and a tbsp of thick yoghurt and a tbsp of eggplant pickle. The curried chickpeas had some spice but were not spicy. The spice is quite subtle and so is the tomato base. The creamy yoghurt and eggplant pickle is delicious and i wish there was more of it. The fried eggs if scrambled and flavoured would have complemented the dish better. They didn't really add to the dish's taste. My friend seemed to enjoy his eggs atlantic though he left the bacon behind. The menu doesn't have too many options and I was only drawn by the curried eggs dish. Great service. Very quick too. They don't do split billing.

Just moved to this area and found Fandango cute and welcoming. The staff very accommodating to us and our dog. Food delicious and the court yard out back was welcoming to my pup. Great place for breakfast. The French toast with bacon was yum!

Tasty fresh food in intimate setting with retro crockery and teapots with tea cosies. Good coffee too!

Super cute cafe that kind of feels just like you're sitting in someone's kitchen or dining room.

This little place is Auction Rooms neighbour and in my opinion it's worth walking past Auction Rooms and giving this place a try.

Little Rogue speaks for itself. Honestly they don't need my review. All you need to do is look at…read morethe line out the door and down the alleyway from the time they open and you know they're doing coffee right. I had to try them with all the rave reviews, especially in my journey to find the best of the best of the Melbourne coffee scene. It's harder than it sounds considering any coffee in Melbourne is already pretty top tier in comparison to anywhere else. Little Rogue deserves the line out the door and rave reviews. Not only is it in the top of the top for coffee I've had in Melbourne...or anywhere...they're also just really cool people. Not a coffee snob in sight. Just down to earth smiles, friendly even at the crack of dawn, and happy to serve you some of the best coffee you'll ever have. Seriously. If Australia, or Melbourne, isn't on your bucket list, it needs to be if only to have the firsthand experience of the coffee everyone talks about. Like so many Melbourne hotspots, Little Rogue is unmarked. No signage. If you know you know type of place. You wouldn't know it's there except for the line out the door that gives them away. Just across the alley and up a few steps is a bakery that's also getting a pretty good rap. Make it a whole trip to start your morning right. You won't be disappointed. PS... If you're at any of the iconic coffee hotspots in Melbourne and you really love your espresso, ask for the (Melbourne) Magic. Just the 'Magic' for the locals. You're welcome.
