I was looking for a spot to take my daughter for her first haircut. I asked around and didn't get a lot of suggestions. For her first haircut, she saw Mandy. Mandy was patient and kind and explained what was going to happen before she did each step. The hairwash is optional but my daughter wanted it and really enjoyed the massage! Mandy asked us what we wanted, and did little things like use my daughter's favorite color clips while cutting her hair. She was knowledgeable and informative. Bonus: for a kids haircut-they give you a bouncy ball at the end! They also have first haircut certificates that are super cute! I will be coming back here with her again. This is actually the first time I've been at a salon and not a great clips lol I don't like spending a lot of money just on a simple trim personally. But I finally tried this salon and I felt it was very reasonable I paid $25 & a tip ofc for a trim and framing for the front of my hair. They do include layers in the $25 amount if that's what you want. The atmosphere was very nice and relaxing I appreciate her taking the time with me and seeing if layers would look good on me and I have long hair so thank goodness she did one layer and let me see what it looked like and we both agreed layers are not for me haha. But she was very nice and honestly gave me a lot of tips about hair and how to maintain it, i don't really know to much so i really do appreciate that. So I really needed a haircut. It was time due to Covid quarantine and energy they needed to be replenished with a good hair chop. I expressed my concerns to Mandy avoid a previous place I went to get my hair done and she did a great consultation with me along with a shampoo and leave in conditioner. I went to get a perm Friday 11/22 , I was their last customer for the night. I came back the first thing in the morning 11/23. They were not accommodating. I highly recommend that you do not go there for a perm. I wanted spiral curls. This is the result from their trained professionals. The manager Tracy was not accommodating and blamed it on my hair. Turns out my hair had been over processed. It was breaking off. Do not go there for anything other than a hair cut. They lack people skills. They wouldn't even admit that they had made a mistake. no negative stars as option but I'd go to last low for a disputable excuse for 219.00 hair cut and overall obe color. they will first make you feel like a child who cant make up their mind, overly aggressive and pressure. past that on to haircut, showed her a picture 109% visible face shot, layers, natural curly hair. alreafy cut like that just needed to reshape the growth. I received all the length cut off and 1" layer above bottom. the sides have the separated feathers fly aways and no volume, no new layers up top so sides are going every which way, two shelves in back no blending. guess what I was told, I got hung upon for telling her I did not trust her ability to fix it. she told me nobody wants to fix your hair now and hung up on me. read more

I wanted to start out by saying I have been to Fantastic Sams at this location for a couple of years and have always had a wonderful and great experience but unfortunately yesterday it was not the case. I called on September 27th to make an appointment for a haircut and color for October 4th. When the stylist picked up the phone I told her the services I needed and asked if there was an availability. I will admit when I originally asked I did not specify the time. The stylist said ok haircut and color at 10am on October 4th. Realizing right away I could not come in at 10am I said no, I apologize, I should specify the time. I cannot come in at 10am because I work. The earliest I can come in is 3:30pm. The stylist said no problem we can do 3:30 do you have a preference on stylist? I said no, I do not. She said ok, we'll see you on October 4th at 3:30. I even repeated the date and time to her and she said yes. I said ok I'm going to put it in my calendar on my phone right away. As soon as we hung up I did just that. Come October 4th I did receive a call at around 10am but I was working and did not answer the phone. The salon did leave a message but I was not able to receive it. I arrived at my appointment around 3:25 and go to check in. The lady at the front desk looked at the schedule and said sorry your name is not on the schedule. Another stylist came over and said immediately in a very condescending tone Oh you are the "no show" for 10am today. Sorry, you missed your appointment.  I said oh there was a mistake the stylist who took my appointment down and originally said 10am but I said no I can't do 10am I asked for 3:30. Again the second stylist said very rudely we don't take haircolor appointments that late we would have told you that on the phone. That is absolutely not true because I have come in during the week at 3:30 before and got a haircut and color but maybe the rules have changed. Either way, I was not informed this on the phone when I made the original appointment. Then the first stylist that was at the front desk chimed in and said I remember talking to you and I would have never had told you we can do a haircut and haircolor at 3:30.  I am not sure how to respond to that except that she did.  The 2nd stylist very rudely again said I can maybe cut your hair but it it will be 25 minutes. It is not OUR fault you didn't listen to your voicemail. As far as your haircolor does you'll obviously have to come on your day off. I was very thrown back on how I was being treated. I said back to them this is not my fault that the appointment information was taken wrong after even confirmed. Both stylists looked at me and shrugged their shoulders and said ok. I said this is very piss poor service and stormed out fuming. I have never been so angry. I was shocked on how I was being treated and talked to. If they would have just explained to me nicely  hey sorry about the misunderstanding but we just don't do haircolor appointments after 3:30 I would have understood but the way I was talked to and treated was uncalled for. I hope the 2 stylists will be talked to and told that, that is not how you talk/treat a customer and they were very unprofessional.  If I had a 10am appointment and decided not to show up, why would I show up at 3:30 and say can you take me now? I am sincerely very angry about the situation and they have lost me as customer. I have told friends and family about my experience. If this how Fantastic Sams treats their customers I don't know how they are still in business. Update **I sent a complaint through their website since you cannot call corporate because there is no one you can directly speak with. Manager of this location never reached out to me. read more

My first impression upon entering was that the salon looked clean and professional. The woman who checked me in was polite and asked me to wait until a stylist was ready for me. I went on a Monday afternoon so I only had to wait for like 15 minutes, I'd recommend calling on the weekend to check on the wait time. A women's cut is $16, and a cut/shampoo/blow dry is $27 It maybe took 30 minutes for my cut and style. Tanya (sorry if misspelled) took the time to listen to what I wanted then went over what she planned on doing and didn't stray from her plan. I have been here a few times now and the girls always give me great cuts, but today Kailee gave me life with my fresh cut. I went in and was kind of all over the place telling her what I wanted and showing her the photo of what I was aiming for and she nailed it. I don't think I've ever had someone be so precise and take so much time with a cut. This girl is amazing. And I really appreciated that she just let me sit and be with my eyes closed and didn't force conversation. William not only fixed my dreadful mop-toned hair, but gave me a fantastic cut to remove the split (more liked 'exploded') ends I had caused. Since that day, I have gone to only William for my highlights and trims. I have been to several salons in my day, and have "rocked" many different shades of blonde, brown, red, and even pink, but I must say that this is one of the best. Truly a hidden gem among the other Fantastic Sams locations. And while I definitely recommend this salon, if William ever moves locations again, you can bet your side-swept bangs I'll follow right along. Go here only if you want a straight clipper haircut . I could have done a better job on my sons haircut. I took my son here and asked the stylist to do a clipper haircut on the sides and a scissor haircut on top. I turned around and the stylist clipped his WHOLE head with a #4 clipper. My son looks bald. He has beautiful red hair. The stylist said she asked my son 3 times if he wanted a #4 all around and he agreed to it. Who asks the kid? He had no idea what he was agreeing to. I asked for a perm and my hair to be trimmed. She said she would trim my hair after the perm. The perm took over 4 hours. It turned out great. She then took a comb and pull my hair straight really hard and trimmed the ends. It pulled every bit of curl out. I left the shop with straight hair. What a waste of time and money. I went in for just a trim. I can't remember the name of the woman that cut my hair. She did a good job though and she was really nice. The haircut was good and the price was great $15. I didn't have her wash my hair, just spray with water and trim and thin it out. I give it a 4 star because I felt uncomfortable and bad vibes from the other ladies in the salon especially the one with the blue hair. She was unfriendly and kept giving my rude looks. So I walked into an empty lobby this evening which by the way should of been the first sign not to get my hair done here at this salon. So I think the guys name was Chris who by the way was very rude... he looked at me in a wired way as soon as I walked in as if he did NOT want any business, he did not have a nametag or introduce himself to me either being that I was over due for a root retouch and this was the nature of practice I thought I would give him a try anyway. The younger girl who was their said she was not good with color yet so I would have to go with him... he had mentioned to me not to worry because he's been " doing hair since 1992." WELL Worst mistake ever throughout my entire experience it seemed to me that he was more worried about his phone or smoking a nasty ass cigarette than paying attention to the customer, he just kept going out the back door for whatever reason as I was sitting their waiting for my hair to color... finally after 55 minutes I had to remind him that My scalp was burning due to the blow dryer and bleach on my head, what really upsets me about this guy is he was very sloppy and unprofessional, how embarrassing as a million dollar Company Fantastic Sams is to lower their standards with this guy! He kept verbally making jokes that really made me feel uncomfortable!! Not cool!! I'm a paying customer he did not know me or meet me any time prior than today! So finally it comes time to rinse my hair off and I was watching his facial expressions on the mirror and I immediately felt something wasn't right !! He then starts to laugh and says "sorry Madonna your hair is not so pretty anymore" I'm like what?? What do you mean?? He said its just breaking and cracking off into the sink. Instead of apologizing he says I'm done and starts to et upset because he made a very bad boo boo!!! So as I ran my fingers across my hair I noticed it started to fall out even more !! I'm soo upset you guys when I went in my hair was more than 4 inches long on top and now its all fried or over bleached!!!! SMH!!! I Look like a blond bald eagle!! I'm so pissed worst experience ever he should not be allowed to damage someone else hair and think its ok to joke or laugh about it just be careful who you choose to color your hair if you try out this spot! read more

I went in for a trim for my split ends, and Britney did a fantastic job cutting my hair. It looked great, but on my own error after I left, I realized I didn't ask for enough hair off and I still had some higher up split ends.
