I can't go based on any work because he did nothing I went in for a consultation, it was such a weird vibe. It was quiet (no music) and no customers. Three employees were sitting down chatting away while I waited for my appt. I went because i wanted to cut my hair into a long bob but my consultation specialist looked at my hair and said my hair was fried. There was nothing he could do, I was so confused. I said, I'm not here to dye my hair. I'm here for a haircut. He said, I know. You need keratin and once your hair gets healthy I could try. Out of curiosity I asked, if I get my hair back to "healthy " again. I asked who he would recommend and he said nobody here. I was shocked and to be honest, I was so over the consultation that I awkwardly laughed and promised him I'd be back. He could honestly care less. I wasn't too irritated because it smelled like hard boiled eggs or broccoli in there. Not to mention, The older woman at the front desk was hella grumpy as well. I really enjoyed my time at Lux Salon & Spa! I went in to turn from blonde to red yet again and was blown away that they had saved my previous formula in the system (I had no idea this was a thing). I did a color consultation to confirm the stylist could bring my hair back to the original copper tone I had gotten in April 2025 and booked less than a month later. I needed my hair done for graduation pictures and was nervous about having a different stylist complete my service this time. I am a drinker. It is tradition for me to schedule some sort of happy hour or drinking assembly after every haircut. Sadly, this is become a tradition because I've had so many terrible haircuts. And like every normal woman, the best way to get through a bad haircut is to drink obscene amounts of alcohol until you look pretty. As well as drunk purchase wigs on Amazon. TODAY I DRINK TO CELEBRATE!!! This is quite easily the best haircut I have ever had. Bearj is my new everything. I walked in with severely damaged blonde hair. Another salon dyed my hair blonde about a year ago and for a solid seven months, my hair was continually breaking off and falling out. It left me with a mess of a haircut. Bearj took the time to tell me what was going on with my hair, explain how he was gonna cut it, how that cut was gonna grow out, and continually asked if I was OK with what was going on and if I had any questions. He was quick and enjoyable and a beautiful human and I can't wait to go back and see him again! Very reasonably priced for the outstanding service! He really is a doctor, a surgeon, a magician. If you have Hair that needs saving... He is your man! I cannot stress that enough. This is not the place to go if you want Frels and a three hour haircut. He gets you in and out with a perfect job. I went to Lux in a hair crisis. I was growing out my hair for 3-4 months. The previous haircut was a disaster. It couldn't be styled-AT ALL. I booked with Bearj because I read such positive reviews online. He looked at my hair and pointed out what was wrong with my previous cut. I was a new customer, having just moved to Phoenix from Los Angeles. I hadn't been able to get my hair colored in awhile because everything else I had to do. I called and left a message at your salon with my contact information. My husband called your salon today and spoke with someone over the phone (who seemed sweet and sincere). I have attached a screen shot of their phone conversation timeline. A message was left with her in an attempt to reach you. At some point you have to be a business owner with integrity or communicate effectively with your staff. This is not acceptable behavior. In conclusion, your staff gave my son a haircut neither of his parents consented to. Not only did we not agree to it, it was atrocious. You have done nothing to remedy the situation, instead you have chosen to engage in yelp arguing when you are wrong. Sometimes a sincere apology, honesty, and taking responsibility goes a long way. It seems that legal action, complaints to the cosmetology board, etc. are the only appropriate next steps. I did make a complaint with the BBB. I will continue to pursue any legal actions that will make sure you accept the responsibility you are trying to desperately refuse. read more

Had an amazing experience and it was my first time at this salon. I was in need of a cut and was able to make an appointment with a stylist the day before online on their website for a haircut. I chose the option for a haircut with wash but no styling for $48. I was scheduled with Bearj. He did an excellent job, I told him what i wanted and he understood the assignment. I was able to find an appointment last minute and boy am I glad! I was helped by Maggie who completed a beautiful balayage on my hair while avoiding bleach. I had expressed concern about my thin hair and she gave me very tips for care. She also did amazing face framing layers to create illusion for more volume. During this experience, I also had great conversation with her. I was the first client to arrive and as my appointment went on, the place continued to become more packed. I showed her what I wanted and the color. She didn't do the color because she didn't read her appointment information for the day. She cut 4 more inches than I wanted.
