On the left is my hair four days before and on the right is after I went into unFantastic Sams in Saginaw TX. I was seen by a thin, older woman with dark brown/black hair. I let her know before we started that I have color treated gray, "Irish curl" wavy hair that makes my hair appear frizzy no matter the length but having shorter hair makes it even worse and more difficult to style. I explicitly told her I wanted a trim only, no more than 2 inches off regardless of how much more may need to be trimmed. I showed her the max length with my fingers on my hair, she confirmed with her hand the length and also used a comb to touch my back where the hair would fall after the trim. She then proceeded to cut my hair off, giving me an uneven, unflattering $hi++y bob and gaslit me when I called her out on it. I said "I did not want want that much hair cut off!" She replied "but it looks so much healthier, and you said length wasn't that important to you". OMG, I should've just let my sadistic, narcissistic MIL cut my hair. I will need to get extensions until it grows out some. Huge expenses, emotionally and financially to me. Avoid! read more

This review is from an incident in August. I sent the this to the corporate office and never received a reply. Clearly they do not care about their customers experience. Hello, I have been trying to reach out by phone for the past two weeks regarding your store in Saginaw Texas. I want to actually speak to someone that will do something about the situation. I am not a new customer; I have been going there for over 2 years now. It is not my favorite place because I feel that the management is completely unprofessional. I have let it go because the stylists have been good and the price is reasonable. In the past I was parking my car 5 minutes before my appointment and I got a phone call asking if I was still coming to my appointment. I thought it was ridiculous that was getting a phone call before I was even late. The stylist apologized and said that the manager makes them call. On Saturday, August 12, 2023, I had a 10:00AM appointment with Amy to color my hair. I arrived in the parking lot at 9:45AM. I sat in my car and finished my coffee. At 9:50AM it was already over 90 degrees so I got out and walked up to toss my cup in the trash and go wait inside. The stylist was just walking in and said not hello, but you can't come in, Mike won't let you in until 10:00. (Mike was sitting at the desk) I just shook my head and said OK. I stood there and waited. Amy and her husband were carrying things into the shop from his truck. Her husband needed help with the door to the shop so I opened it for him. As I did, I poked my head in and asked Mike if I could come in and he yelled at me NO - WE OPEN AT 10! I backed out and I stood there wondering why I was putting up with this! About thirty seconds after Mike yelled at me to come in and asked if I had an appointment. I said yes, with Amy at 10:00AM. He was giving me the dirtiest look and started saying again that they open at 10:00AM. I said all I wanted to do was get out of the heat and sit down. Then Amy's husband came over and was staring my down - I asked him why and he said he wanted nothing to do with me. Then Mike was yelling at me, I can't even say what was said, it all somewhat turned into a blur of insults on all of our parts. I got up to walk out and Mike started screaming at me to get out. I have never in my life been treated so bad. I hope that this event will be taken seriously and someone will contact me. The Customer Service at Saginaw FS is complete garbage and Luisa is THE problem with her attitude. Luisa kicked me out of the store on Christmas Eve with a smile. Merry Christmas to me, I guess. I have been a customer at this FS since it opened and previously at the Lake Worth FS. Over 20 years of loyalty. Its Christmas Eve and I have an appointment. My guy Kevin is a no show due to medical. This office doesn't have the common courtesy to call his clients to let them know. Kevin is amazing and in my opinion the only reason this store is running. Luisa tells me Kevin is a no show. I'm obviously frustrated. Luisa sighs and states "if I have time, I can do your hair". Her demeanor was I don't want to do your hair and if I'm going to HAVE to do it, I'll do it. I'm expecting the worst hair cut ever. I state "I guess" I'll have you do my hair. This apparently sets her off and she states that if I'm going to be rude, she doesn't have to do my hair. I explain that it would have been nice to have received a call regarding my stylist not being available. She lied and made up that they had a power outage. I arrived about 30 minutes early and observed all the power on and her sitting at the cash register on her phone. I asked when did she find out that Kevin was going to be unavailable. She stated the day prior. I asked she did think it would have been nice to contact his clients. She states that she is not going to serve me. Being a regular, I asked her how long she has worked at this FS. She stated "a long time" Another lie. I have never seen her at this store ever. But her definition of a long time maybe different than mine. 20 years is a long time. read more

I have gotten rid of my COVID Frump and welcomed back my sassier, sexier, happier self because of her work! She has a client and personal cheerleader in me. I will recommend her to anyone!!! I've been going to this location for the past few years and it has progressively gotten worse, but because I'm forgiving I shrug it off and figure maybe it was just this one time, but it's not and it's not the same stylist it's all of the ones I've had. Today just did it in for me and I was always pleasant with them, I went in to get my haircut and they charge me full price for a small trim didn't even wash or offer and when I asked about it they said it's included in my cut, and all three of them were standing at the front intimidating me so I just paid and left. It's unfortunate that now I have to find a new salon. read more

Horrible Place!!! They do not know how to color hair! they ruined my hair and damaged the cortex so it will not hold ANY color. They tried to do a coolor block and some grays, but it was too damaged and said it needed to have a trim, charged me for a haircut, but then it has not style at all, so got ripped off for no hairstyle, color , and cut, and they would not even refund me half for the damage to my head. I had nice shag hair cut below my shoulders going inm, came our with neck length fried frizzed and no style cut at all.. As someone who is older, who has hair the is slow growing, it will take many YEARS for this to get better or improve!! And a licensed beautician in another state, I expect them to at least know how to do their job. I will state this to all I know that are looking for a salon... I took my daughter to get a haircut in the chopped her hair I had to go brush to someone else to see if her cut in the worst part is that the stylist was OK with letting her walk out of the store with the hair chopped up the way it was. Well, I have been to this location several times (apparently I do not learn well) and have had two good haircuts. All the rest have been awful. The last time was Jan 10th. I asked for "about 3 inches cut off and long layers" what I got was 6-7 inches off in a straight bob. OMG!! I was so angry I could not even speak!! On top of that, while the person was doing it, they said they had only been cutting hair since December, really!?!? Never again. I would be better off cutting it my dang self! read more

I went in for just a trim, literally just 1/2 inch is all I got! The sigh with the pricing had $19 for shampoo and cut, and $26 with blow dry. The total price she charged me was $45!!! For a 1/2 inch trim, and blow dry?? Carol said they charge you based off the length of your hair! And since my hair is shoulder length she had to charge me more for the cut, AND more to blow dry. This place is absolutely ridiculous!! I will never in my life go back, better off going to Supercuts. read more

Nearly $30 for haircut and blow dry and all I can say is Wish I would have listened to my inner voice and stayed away. The owner contacted me and expressed a desire to correct the problem. I went to the Lake Worth location and met a stylist, Melody, who was very attentive to my specific concerns. She did a wonderful job at cleaning up my previous haircut. Ive gone TWICE and both times, different stylists, they've messed up my hair. 200$ worth of bullshit. first time, I asked for light blonde, cooler undertones rather than red/warm. guess what I got? blonde with super red undertones and the stylist didn't bother to tell me and I wasn't able to tell until later on. second time, I go in for a DIRTY BLONDE, they give me ash blonde with the greenest undertones I've ever seen that I had to re dye my hair BY MYSELF. you're better off doing to yourself then coming here. or find a better place that knows how to color hair. read more

Need better customer service.. I went several months back and did not like the response I got from the ladies when I walked in. I just wanted to turn around and leave.: They just stood around and stared and did not welcome me. When I left I swore I wouldn't go back.. well my daughter went a couple months ago so I went with her and the service was a little better.. So I decided to go back a few days ago to get my boys hair cut, cause I didn't have time to really go anywhere else.Well I got the same treatment again and just wanted to turn around and leave.. They just stand there and not welcome you and stair at you like what are you doing here.. This time I said something.. There is no reason to act all snooty like you are to good for the customers that's come in to get a hair cut. At least they can do is welcome people.. I had gone to this Fantastic Sam's several times for hair cuts. I was satisfied. I then went in for an all over color on a Saturday. While rinsing the color out, the red dye went on my blouse. The girl felt bad, and asked the only other person what she could do. The other stylist told her to spray hair spray on the substantial stain. Then told me to use bleach. I told her the blouse could not be bleached. Silence. Girl gave me a $5 coupon(girl obviously wanted to do more). Still charged for color and hair cut. Then had to leave with a huge red stain on my white blouse. When I messaged the owner, he said he would call that Monday to arrange paying to replace my blouse. I have taken my boys here 3 times since November. Each time something wasn't right. This time even after asking for them to blend my 7 year old's hair more, my husband brought them home looking a mess. The 7 year old looks like they didn't blend his hair at all and slightly looks like a mushroom. My older son also has a very visible line where it wasn't blended. I asked my husband why he didn't make her fix it, he said this was after he said to fix it and it was obvious she wasn't going to get it right so he just left. When I checked the receipt, they charged for 2 adult cuts and not kids cuts. Now I will have to take them somewhere and pay to have it fixed after already paying $36 plus tips. I went in to have the back trimmed and the too-chatty, bad-bleach-job gal I drew completely ignored my multiple requests not to go anywhere near the front - just trim the back and she hacked away. Now I need to find another salon to fix it. It's inches shorter in the front and I'm so disgusted.I should have noted that in this busy salon she was the only one without clients in the chair. read more
