The finger print reading is time consuming to set up. But since it's an aluminum gate we were limited on options. That was my only regret.... Would have gone a different route with more options to lock the gate because that's the whole point !! No sense of having a nice gate if you can't lock it or manage it correctly from an app. All in all la fence made it happen & I'm glad I chose local business.

The issue in my case is installation and customer service. They broke one of my recently installed pavers (never told me). The metal portion of 1 of 3 gates had a lot of visible deep scratches, and they left an outlet box just dangling instead of properly installing it. I also noticed they didn't install stoppers behind each door. Didn't know I had to ask for that or that they didn't provide them. Imagine spending thousands on 3 beautiful doors just so when they open, they smack on stucco or walls? I made a deal with Mark (he comes out to give you an estimate) it cost me $100 to have my paver guy fix the damage. Add 3 stoppers to the gates and I'll call it even. He said ok. They came out and installed one. Mark has been bs'ing me for months and they haven't came out to add the remaining two. I've called the main office and no luck. I know if I would've waited on paying they would've been done a long time ago. And to be fair they did come out and covered up the deep scratches a bit. You can still see them but not as noticeable. The electric box was also installed properly. Make sure you look at your doors and gates closely before you pay because trying to get them to come out can be difficult and Mark might tell you it will be handled and never will. Their prices are fair and competitive but their installation and customer service could use some work and maybe other estimates on your behalf. See pictures. Oh and I sent them a lock to install prior to them coming out to install. I should've checked that too before they left. The electronic door lock doesn't work. I've tried taking it apart and figuring it out but does not work. My fault I guess for not checking.

Nick is a veteran ironwork craftsmen with 40 years experience. Art, his son who also is experienced in creating master ironworks, manages the front face of their business, meeting with clients about quotes and communicating with clients every step of the way. Together with their small team, they truly create masterpieces. After meeting with several ironworks companies to get an understanding of the material and its capabilities/limitations, and regulations for 3 stair rails, I decided to go with Vanguard. There was one company whose quote was slightly cheaper than Vanguard, but I felt Vanguard wasn't just a welding company, but that they understood the materials, and grasped my artistic endeavor better. The custom work I needed done: one 14 foot indoor rail, one 36 inch stair rail, one 32 inch straight rail and 2 outdoor gates that needed fixing. Their shop in Azusa is kept neat and organized. I made many visits there to see the progress of my custom stair rails and to give direction each step of the way. I would tell Art I didn't like the shape of a curve or that the placement of a sphere was off, and they would make adjustments and improve the pieces. I appreciate that they don't dominate, but give guidance from years of experience in working with the materials, collaborating and listening to what can be improved artistically. They listen and take care of their clients. I told both Art and Nick that I had to keep with my budget and that I would love to replace my outdoor gates, but couldn't at this time since most of my budget was spent on the 3 indoor stair rails, and to just fix the gates so that they would swing close on their own again. When they went to make the cuts on my gate, it was so rotted, that it just crumbled. Instead of going the easy route, Nick spent additional time and material mending the gate to make it stronger. His professional advice was to replace these 30 year old gates, but he understood my budget constraints and worked with me without hesitation, not taking the easy route, but the harder, more time consuming one that extended the life of my gates. It was a pleasure to work with Art, Nick and their team. I joked with Nick and dubbed him the wrought iron "surgeon" as I watched him work. Like a surgeon, Nick is a master craftsman understanding the material and performing very precise, intricate work down to the last eighth of an inch. Again called them up and talked to GREG the rude guy and explained the extra problems we found and he Black mailed me to change my review or they will not come over and fix all problems the install team created, Total Pirates in the fence business, Who does that to customers? Zero customer service quality. Wiil have ALL COUNTIES FENCE fix all the problems and mistakes, they do a much better quality of Fence and Service. They are better priced also.

We bought them because we wanted to have the exact same vinyl slats. I did feel they knew that and price gouged us. After we arrived home we found they gave us 4 of a different type of vinyl slats. ( similar in color to what we had previously bought except the TG was rounded) pics attached. We had paid more to get the same exact slats so we took them back to exchange. The guys that worked there would not exchange them they said they were exactly the same even though we showed them they were rounded while ours were square, so the different ones we a little off in color and the spaces between were larger because of the rounded edges ( we took a piece of the first slats we bought for comparison. We asked for a manager. Because they were all Armenian we did not understand what they were saying, but then 2 other guys came over and said they were exactly the same. What? How? you can clearly see they were not. They were similar but not the same. ( now it doesn't matter to me they were Armenian cause every race religion etc is great. I'm mixed myself. I only mentioned it because we couldn't understand what they were saying to each other before they came over to tell us they were the same. I feel he was telling them to say it was the same. But I digress I didn't understand what he really said.) We did not want to leave without the correct slats and kept telling them we paid more just to get the same slats we already bought from them. We were finally able to get the correct ones when we mentioned it was only 4 pcs. Hallelujah!! Thank you. Finally. I do worry for people that this may happen to if they give you more than a few wrong pcs so I am advising you check each one if ordering from this company. I also want to mention we had previously requested a quote from this company to install the gate But one day they gave us a quote and when we called back a week later to set up the install they quoted us $2000 MORE than the previous quote. The quote went from $5400 to ?7340. When asked why? their response was that's their price???? This was for just a 20 ft fence. Anywho, we're all free to have a company do work or not and we decided to go with another company. But thought this was also worth mentioning. I am writing this review to advise people who are looking into this company to do vinyl fencing, be careful and do your due diligence. Their sales practice is not on the up and up. I hope the owners of the company read this and fix things with their employees.

That joker trying to tell that his product is best but physically samples that he showed us was worst that we have seen from another companies. also, that joker smells like a weed (very unprofessional). Hello I left a post a few days ago and now after…read moreinspections, the 2 gates they installed next to each other have the same keys, so on top of that the bottom of the gate that was installed the wrong direction ( Was designed in the print from me to both go in, not out) also the gate has a large GAP on the bottom when closed so a thief can look right in the back yard. Again called them up and talked to GREG the rude guy and explained the extra problems we found and he Black mailed me to change my review or they will not come over and fix all problems the install team created, Total Pirates in the fence business, Who does that to customers? Zero customer service quality. Wiil have ALL COUNTIES FENCE fix all the problems and mistakes, they do a much better quality of Fence and Service. They are better priced also.

We bought vinyl fencing from this company with no issues other than their prices were a little…read morehigher than other companies, but they did have the color that we wanted. We were happy. A few days later after building our fence we needed more slats to go into a metal gate we had custom built. Went back and they charged us 3 x times more for the slats that we had just bought??? We bought them because we wanted to have the exact same vinyl slats. I did feel they knew that and price gouged us. After we arrived home we found they gave us 4 of a different type of vinyl slats. ( similar in color to what we had previously bought except the TG was rounded) pics attached. We had paid more to get the same exact slats so we took them back to exchange. The guys that worked there would not exchange them they said they were exactly the same even though we showed them they were rounded while ours were square, so the different ones we a little off in color and the spaces between were larger because of the rounded edges ( we took a piece of the first slats we bought for comparison. We asked for a manager. Because they were all Armenian we did not understand what they were saying, but then 2 other guys came over and said they were exactly the same. What? How? you can clearly see they were not. They were similar but not the same. ( now it doesn't matter to me they were Armenian cause every race religion etc is great. I'm mixed myself. I only mentioned it because we couldn't understand what they were saying to each other before they came over to tell us they were the same. I feel he was telling them to say it was the same. But I digress I didn't understand what he really said.) We did not want to leave without the correct slats and kept telling them we paid more just to get the same slats we already bought from them. We were finally able to get the correct ones when we mentioned it was only 4 pcs. Hallelujah!! Thank you. Finally. I do worry for people that this may happen to if they give you more than a few wrong pcs so I am advising you check each one if ordering from this company. I also want to mention we had previously requested a quote from this company to install the gate But one day they gave us a quote and when we called back a week later to set up the install they quoted us $2000 MORE than the previous quote. The quote went from $5400 to ?7340. When asked why? their response was that's their price???? This was for just a 20 ft fence. Anywho, we're all free to have a company do work or not and we decided to go with another company. But thought this was also worth mentioning. I am writing this review to advise people who are looking into this company to do vinyl fencing, be careful and do your due diligence. Their sales practice is not on the up and up. I hope the owners of the company read this and fix things with their employees.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would for the team at Modern Fencing…read more I initially reached out to Modern Fencing several weeks ago for a fence that sat on my family's property, it was damaged by a hit and run and we were getting bothered by the city to fix it. Unfortunately, we were given a deadline and I needed a trusty contractor to work on the job immediately. From the very beginning when I called, Nick answered humbly, and was incredibly friendly with me regarding the job, we immediately agreed on a date to meet for him to come out and give me and my family an estimate on the job itself. The day we met, Nick was incredibly professional, not only did he give me a fair assessment of what work needed to be done, but he did it in an compassionate manner considering the circumstances at the time. Nick also answered all my questions and concerns no matter how many I would throw at him, and to be honest I probably asked too MANY questions, particularly about their license and insurance which is LEGITIMATE, trust me I checked! I will admit Modern Fencing was not the cheapest option out of the dozen or so quotes I received regarding the job, but he also wasn't the most expensive, and it was a good price for the work that was being done, also I couldn't see myself choosing anyone else to do the work after speaking with Nick, you could tell that he really cares about his customers and tries his best to give his utmost to every single individual he works with. We agreed on a fair price and also a day to start work, and just like I believed he would, him and his team were on site on the date we agreed upon. There was no problems, no complaints, no broken promises, just fair work at a fair price between two mutual parties. I've worked with hundreds of contractors in my life from construction all the way to painting, and Modern Fencing is one of the BEST at what they do, and I mean that wholeheartedly. Ultimately, Modern Fencing finished the job with perfect scores, the fence looks amazing, the process was flawless, and Nick's empathy towards me and my family during this incredibly stressful process was so needed. I couldn't recommend Modern Fencing enough to anyone who needs a construction or fencing job, it's quite obvious to me that they run a tight ship not only with their crew but definitely with their leadership.

This has been one of the most frustrating contractor experiences I've ever had. I signed my…read morecontract and paid my deposit in September and was told the work would begin within 2-3 weeks. Instead, nothing started for over a month -- and only after I repeatedly followed up asking what the delay was. Communication was consistently poor. I had to chase updates instead of receiving them proactively. After becoming frustrated, I requested a change in materials. Only then was I told the delay was due to materials -- something that should have been communicated upfront. Even two weeks after making that change, still no work had been done, yet I was asked for a large additional advance payment. By month three, work finally began -- but only partially, because not all materials had arrived. Weeks later, the front gate was installed. Upon final inspection, the vinyl walls noticeably move. When I questioned this, I was told they "need to settle." It has now been months since installation, and the vinyl still moves. The front gate is visibly lopsided, and the overall workmanship appears rushed and sloppy. I have made multiple requests for these issues to be corrected. Each time, I am met with excuses and no real effort to resolve the problems. I paid in good faith and expected professional communication, quality workmanship, and accountability. Instead, I experienced delays, poor communication, and unfinished or substandard work. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this business.

The finger print reading is time consuming to set up. But since it's an aluminum gate we were limited on options. That was my only regret.... Would have gone a different route with more options to lock the gate because that's the whole point !! No sense of having a nice gate if you can't lock it or manage it correctly from an app. All in all la fence made it happen & I'm glad I chose local business.

I have depended a lot on reviews/pics from yelpers so I need to post when a business was good or…read morebad. Or kinda good or kinda bad. The fences are nice and look like the pics on the reviews. The issue in my case is installation and customer service. They broke one of my recently installed pavers (never told me). The metal portion of 1 of 3 gates had a lot of visible deep scratches, and they left an outlet box just dangling instead of properly installing it. I also noticed they didn't install stoppers behind each door. Didn't know I had to ask for that or that they didn't provide them. Imagine spending thousands on 3 beautiful doors just so when they open, they smack on stucco or walls? I made a deal with Mark (he comes out to give you an estimate) it cost me $100 to have my paver guy fix the damage. Add 3 stoppers to the gates and I'll call it even. He said ok. They came out and installed one. Mark has been bs'ing me for months and they haven't came out to add the remaining two. I've called the main office and no luck. I know if I would've waited on paying they would've been done a long time ago. And to be fair they did come out and covered up the deep scratches a bit. You can still see them but not as noticeable. The electric box was also installed properly. Make sure you look at your doors and gates closely before you pay because trying to get them to come out can be difficult and Mark might tell you it will be handled and never will. Their prices are fair and competitive but their installation and customer service could use some work and maybe other estimates on your behalf. See pictures. Oh and I sent them a lock to install prior to them coming out to install. I should've checked that too before they left. The electronic door lock doesn't work. I've tried taking it apart and figuring it out but does not work. My fault I guess for not checking.
