Susan did an absolutely gorgeous job on the flowers for my wedding. We came to her with a strict budget. We gave her the number and asked for a quote and set up a meeting. When we came to the meeting, she had already contacted the venue and the temple and had got a feel for what the places would like look, and she had a beautiful proposal that met our budget to a tee. She was also so enthusiastic about flowers that she actually got my fiancee excited about flowers. Next thing I knew, he was envisioning her vision and engaging in the conversation. She was absolutely professional. I admit that i was a very meticulous and detail oriented bride, and Susan never gave me any cause to worry. She was always one step ahead of me. On the day of the wedding, the flowers were delivered on time and everything was gorgeous. It was more than I had imagined. They took my breath away. And bonus, my bouquet stayed beautiful for weeks. The centerpieces she designed needed to fit in a candelabra that we used on every table so that the flowers would compliment the candle light. They were absolutely perfect. We kept all 20 of the centerpieces and gave them to friends and family for their homes and everyone called and told us the flowers stayed gorgeous and made their homes smell nice for a month. Susan was amazing in designing and providing the flowers for our wedding in April! She was very attentive to listening to my personal style (I am a goth girl at heart) and making expert suggestions based on her vast knowledge of flowers and arrangements. I did not have a large budget to allocate for flowers, but I wanted the ones I got to be perfect. That was tough because our wedding theme was very Renaissance, LoTR, with a hint of belly-dance-and-goth. When researching florists online, almost NONE of the brides in the portfolios had a similar style. I finally stumbled on something close on Pinterest, and sent that to Susan with a list of my preferences. I wanted black calla lilies with red roses and black feathers. Susan was fantastic on the phone, asking all the right questions about the decoration, theme, and setting. She even made some helpful suggestions as I was still in the planning phases. Due to my budget, I ended up sticking with a Bridal Bouquet, 3 Bridesmaids Bouquets, 5 men's boutonnieres and 4 ladies corsages. After our conversation, Susan sent me a very detailed summary of my order and secured the deposit. I felt terrible because I wasn't able to meet Susan when she dropped off the flowers at the venue (was running late-- imagine that!) but when I arrived I almost started to cry. They were perfect. They were more than perfect. Throughout the entire day, I kept admiring my flowers-- they were that beautiful. Afterwards, I regretted not securing a way to preserve my bouquet, because I wanted to keep it forever. It's still sitting in a vase in our dining room because I can't bear to part with it-- almost 3 months later. Susan is a remarkable artist. Susan did such an incredible job with our flowers. I started out planning to go super basic - I wasn't even going to have a professional bouquet - but after a conversation I decided to set a price, show her photos, tell her what I wanted and let her work her magic. We are so glad we did! Our flowers were lucious, stylish, gorgeous, and just what we wanted. My bouquet was so beautiful, I'm so glad that I decided to have one! I did mismatched bridesmaid dresses with white bouquets, and she had the idea of doing different colored ribbons on the groomsmen's white boutaineers, which looked simple and tasteful, but was a nice touch. We built our own backdrop and I made sola flower garlands. She add fresh flowers and it looked fantastic. She hit our style point- soft and romantic but still hip and modern. It has been almost 3 months since my wedding, and people still comment on how gorgeous the flowers were. She is very straight-forward and knows her stuff, but that doesn't overshadow her clear passion for what she does! The pricing was very reasonable, and she was able to understand what we wanted from just a phone call and a few pictures. I worked with Susan for our wedding in Napa, CA. I live in Chicago, IL and had to work with her only via phone and email. We had a few conference calls and exchanged some emails and photos...I found her to be reasonably priced, but also very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I was certainly anxious, coming in from far away and never having met in person, but what Susan created was so beautiful and so perfect. She added such sweet touches that she recommended like whimsical ribbons on the bridesmaids bouquets, and accommodated things that were a little more unusual, such as the fact that i shipped her the beading from my mother's wedding dress to use as the wrap on my bridal bouquet. I had envisioned fluffy flowers like hydrangea and peonies, but they were not in season in August. (i am certainly no green thumb). But Susan was so creative and was able to find lots of fluffy garden flowers that gave a similar effect and i was never missing the peonies! The centerpieces were lush and looked so expensive, but she kept the budget tight. I would recommend her to anyone who is planning there wedding from near or far. We were lucky to have her contribute to the beauty of our day, and the photos just reflect how perfect her execution was. We used Susan for our Oct wedding. We didn't have a large floral budget or very specific ideas of what we wanted. After meeting with Susan a couple times, during which she helped narrow down my ideas with lots of different pictures, we finally came up with a good idea of what we wanted. Susan did a great job on our flowers and everything looked fabulous. She also was wonderful is coordinating with our caterer especially as the week of our wedding a storm came in and the day of we had a huge storm! Of course an outside ceremony was not going to be possible. Susan had created a beautiful garland that was supposed to be used outside at a gazebo instead she rented us an archway for under our tent and used the garland there. She was also amazing value - charging about half of other places I approached and doing just as good a job. Also, on the day of the wedding, she noticed that the Chuppah had not been set up exactly as I had asked, and she arranged for the Chuppah owner to come back to the venue and fix it. Susan did the most incredible job for our wedding in San Francisco on May 2nd. She is FANTASTIC!! She is one of the most creative, enthusiastic and genuine people I've ever met. When my husband and I met with her we instantly felt at ease. She listened to our idea's and offered great suggestions to help create the theme we wanted......we were going for a Great Gatsby style. Susan made it happen! She transformed our venue into such a magical place. Everyone was beyond impressed. We even had the wait staff telling us they had never seen such a glorious setting!
