Josh started to hang the lights and noticed my gutters filled with debris so he offered to clean them for me (for a small fee of course but it was worth it)! There were so much debris!!! Once he and his team were done with cleaning the gutters, they continued with hanging the lights. Josh was so meticulous. He recommended that I hang the lights along the side eaves so that I can see the lights when I drive up from the side streets (genius)! I also asked him to wrap the bushes with lights and wished I would have taken his suggestions to wrap every bush instead of every other bush. Oh wells - I'll definitely do it next year!! Finally, no only did they do the great job with the lights, they also made sure my house was left in a clean state. I'm definitely going to be a loyal customer going forward.

Scheduling was quick and easy (although that's probably because most people probably aren't thinking about holiday lights during the summer). Installation took the better part of a day, but was otherwise a breeze; the crew were friendly, kept everything tidy, and gave us a thorough demo of the controller app after they were done. As for the lights themselves: totally worth it! They're basically invisible during the day, and are super bright at night. You can customize just about everything about them; settings are changed via the controller app on your phone (yay no ladders!), which gives you complete control over the color(s), brightness, animations, and schedule. We also scaled down from pocket door back to swing in door, and that actually *lowered* the price from their original quote. All pricing was very fair and transparent. I appreciated guidance in picking out finishing materials. Akyl drove with me to help pick out materials near our house. For initial inspection (rough plumbing and electrical), either Akyl or Vadim came out. Majority of the work was done with the technicians on the ground (Sergei and Vitaliy) - very pleasant to work with. I appreciated the daily cleanup. They also let me know steps along the way. It was not a trivial project, removing a (non-load bearing) wall, but one that contained the pipes and original shower head. Ellis, who was communicating milestones and next steps, was easy to reach (by text, phone or email). For one day, when as part of the construction we had discovered roots in our sewer line and they had to coordinate with the plumber - she promptly communicated the wait, and additional estimate. Again, doing a big project in an older house (first floor was built in the 1940s), one expects small hiccups along the way. Yet, Neighborhood Construction made the process so smooth. Communicated clearly timelines, and followed through. Any additional quotes (existing issues with our roots in sewer) were very fairly priced, additional steps communicated. It was impressive to work with such a professional team. The team also handled the permitting with the city and inspections. Would highly recommended them to anyone else tackling a larger project. Anthony was very friendly and punctual. The team that he works with were also friendly and on-time. I was concerned about dust, but was so impressed with how clean they kept everything from start to finish. He was also sure to take care of all the details, including removing existing speakers and lights that would no longer fit and properly patching up holes. Here's our story: My wife and I bought a house in Q4 2019. The house itself seemed turnkey ready, but both the front and back yards needed major work. The previous owners put a pretty good mask on them during the selling process... I'd guess that they hired someone for yard clean-up, then simply poured tanbark on top of weeds (without properly removing them). During the purchasing process, we learned that the irrigation system was original 1955 galvanized steel and needed to be replaced. The end result was: our new house looked great from the inside... but the yards turned into neighborhood blights after about 3-4 months. We needed help. After blowing our nest egg on a down payment, we saved for another year to be able to afford actual landscape/hardscape. We weren't sure where to begin and engaged multiple vendors. Pearman Landscape was among them. From our first meeting, Robert Pearman behaved more like a trusted confidant than a vendor. We had never purchased hardscape services before... and it definitely showed. Rather than lead us around by our nose, like the greenhorns we obviously were, he described the entire process like an impartial 3rd party. Multiple times, he gave us information while acknowledging "whether you go with me or somebody else." Robert immediately sent over his designer, Kristin Bailey. I had read the Yelp reviews from Jody and Bob and immediately got worried, as they both claimed she was unresponsive. Luckily, I had a totally different experience. Kristin was prompt, she was polite, she was helpful, and I ended up chatting with her for about 45-minutes after we walked through my yard. I found her to be an absolute treat and I can't imagine anyone having a bad experience with her. She was wonderful every step of the way. Listened to what we needed, asked us great follow-up questions, made sure she was including plants and trees that we wanted in our design... and finished our plan in less than 2-weeks. It was very reasonably priced and we fell in love with the plan immediately after viewing it. I can't speak highly enough about Kristin. Based on our positive experience, we decided to move forward with Pearman Landscape. Not only will they redo our hardscape/landscape/irrigation, but I intend to retain them for garden maintenance after the project is completed. I'll provide updates and pictures as the process unfolds, but suffice to say: we're having a totally positive experience so far and I wanted to leave a 5-star review for any potential clients who might be considering Pearman. My family reached out to 15 different landscape companies around the SJ/South Bay area and Pearman stands head-and-shoulders above the other 14 suitors, both in terms of promptness, responsiveness, helpfulness, and pricing.
