They sent two team members who were extremely respectful of my property and worked very efficiently. They stuck to the quoted price exactly, which I really appreciated. I hired them to help with a series of move-out repairs and touch-ups for my rental property, and they exceeded expectations in every way. 5 stars all around! I hired Neighborhood Construction to remodel my garage. I had an old dropped ceiling that was in a failing mode and old panels were constantly falling out. I have asked Neighborhood Construction to completely replace the old ceiling, rewire ceiling lights, add a few electrical outlets, install a new utility sink, dispose of all cabinets and place new ones. Also, they had fixed and painted walls in the process. What I liked the most about Neighborhood Construction is their impeccable craftsmanship, attention to details and quality of work. Another aspect of their work is following codes and best of practices, especially when dealing with electrical conduits. I felt that they have delivered a quality work in a timely manner and at a reasonable cost. I also liked that they have made a couple of callbacks in a timely manner to address some of the post projects fixes modifications. Also, they went extra mile fixing a particular problem with wiring of an outlet in my kitchen that was outside of the original project scope, that may or may not has been related to work done in a garage. I feel like I have discovered a trusted professional partner in my future projects as they have advised me on other potential fixes and made a few recommendations without trying to upcharge me. Akyl and his team did one job of installation of outdoor lighting for me. I felt it was extremely hard to deal with them as they constantly canceled appointments and kept changing prices on me. But I looked past it and still proceeded with trying to hire them for other projects I needed around the house. This time I asked them to come over and give me an estimate for everything to make sure we are on the same page. Of course nothing had changed and they rescheduled a few times with me for the estimate appointment. My time obviously has no value to them. When Akyl finally made it over he gave me verbal quotes. Which I thought were reasonable. However when he got home he sent me an estimate with more then triple the amount he quoted me in person. I just feel that this business can not be trusted. If you want to try them out I would strongly suggest getting written quotes with no to exceed amounts and never trust what they say verbally. I asked them to repair a bathtub that leaked for a long time and they proved to me the tub was leak proof by filling it with water for 2 hours. He responded quickly with a very fair price estimate, was able to do the work on the day I requested, and showed up on time.
