I got the deluxe and the woman did a good job. For my manicure I asked her to cut my nails short since I have extremely weak nails. She rolled her eyes at me and continued to file my nails, not making them short. Before applying polish she pointed out to me that my pinky nail was broken. First time going to Fanzy nails today. My friend is a regular here and she brought me. I got my nails done by Gloria and my friend got hers done by Whitney, highly recommend both of these ladies. I usually just get acrylic or gel nails but Gloria explained gel X and opened a whole new door to how I want my nails done from now on. I just moved to Sarasota and found the best nail salon in all of Sarasota! Tyler is the GOAT!!!! The only person I'll go to, to do my nails! I'm 30 years old and have been getting my nails done since I was 15 years old, Tyler is the best nail tech I've ever had! His attention to detail, quality of work and never cutting you or hurting you, on top of his beautiful energy, is beyond exceptional! I really don't understand the positive reviews. While their website claims that this establishment is very clean, I found it to be one of the dirtiest places I've ever been. There are nail shavings and dust everywhere, grime on the walls, disgusting old garbage stains on the top of the garbage can. Virtually everywhere you look, it is a mess. Now it's true that they have plexiglass screens up and wear masks, but that's mostly for their protection, not customers. Additionally, my manicure was way below average. The manicurist was clumsy and not detail oriented - and actually the nails on my right hand look much different than the nails on my left. Overall, it was a terrible experience. Yes, the owner, Mike, is friendly and talks to everyone... Maybe too much. But that doesn't overcome the filth and the subpar manicure. read more

Vivian has the greatest sense of humor. Wether you go once or a regular they treat you like they have known you forever. Mike is great at being able to work with his clients to make sure what you get is exactly what you want. If you speak up and say what you don't like Mike will not make you feel any type of way and will fix it to how ever you like. And let's talk about complimentary drinks!!!! Our manicure was beautiful but the atmosphere is enough to keeping us from coming back. Walk-ins need to be turned away, they can't keep up with appointments. We had drinks from the " bar" extra artwork on our nails and leg massages. The volcano pedicure was worth the extra money because it really softened my terrifyingly rough heels. Steer clear! Based on some reviews I read, I thought I try Fanzy Nails for a pedicure. What a mistake. The male "technician" that did my nails was terrible. He set a timer and rushed through the entire process. He was careless and snipped the skin on my toe. (see photo). He seemed oblivious to the pain he created. My toe was stinging and he was completely insensitive and unapologetic! In addition, he was rude, disengaged, and seemed very impatient. As I was checking out, two other employees, who had kicked off their sandals, were sitting next to each other with their BARE FEET on the chairs by the front desk, snacking and looking at their phones together, which seemed very unprofessional. Love this place! Just moved here and picked this salon off yelp. Every single person here is so friendly and make you feel welcome immediately! They also serve an assortment of beverages. Even the customers who come in were social and fun. Some of their techniques need refining such as an ombré nail, but I had such a good time and good customer service I would still keep coming back despite the techniques comment. They have the talent to do more advanced work, I think maybe some videos and practice would fix this and make them more competitive with other nail salons. This may have been the best customer service I've ever received from a nail salon. Pedicure and massage was great. And if you don't like something they will gladly fix it. I had Chris who was great, did an awesome coffin shape and no cuts or burns on my cuticles! The only issue I have is my daughters nails were done by a different tech and lacked the same detail with the cleanliness around the acrylic (using the tool to clean underneath, and she received a nasty little cut from the tool that we noticed at home) and the shape was rounded as asked but really wide at top (I told her she should have said something) we will probably go back this week to have the shape fixed by a different nail tech. read more

I will give them 2 stars for at least trying. I went in for a French pedicure. The first girl asked me what color I wanted for the base. That was the first flag. I picked what I thought would be right but never needed to select before. I have been getting French pedicures for years and any place I have ever gone the technician grabs what they need, and do it. She did a general clean up and massage and I will say she had a very nice touch. That part was good. Once she went to do the polish she stopped half way through and explained she was struggling with it and didn't want me to have a bad experience. I thanked her for being honest and appreciated she was thinking of my experience. She removed what she started and had another person come to take over. I was asked to pick out another base and that was interjected with someone that seemed to know the basics of a French pedicure. I asked to please keep the white strips thick. (The only special request I asked for). They are the thinnest I have ever experienced, (even without specifying for thicker lines other times). A gentleman came over toward the end and asked how it was going. I was uncomfortable being honest that it was not a very good French pedicure. Not just the thin lines but it looked like something I could have done myself. He did offer to fix it, which was a nice gesture. At that point, I had been there almost 2 hours and was almost late for my next appointment. He said I could come back at any point and he would fix it. When I went to pay there seemed to be some confusion on what the price was. I was never offered a menu or a price sheet. They told me $22 and I paid it and tipped $5. As I was walking out the door I was called back and asked to confirm I had a "Classic" pedicure. I have no idea what you call each of your services or the costs, without seeing a menu or some sort of list. They decided it was an additional $13. It left me feeling like I was trying to get out of paying what was owed. I felt the same after I was told to pick out the nail polish. I felt the need to defend myself and tell them I was asked to pick out the polish for the French pedicure, not that I wanted something out of the ordinary. $40 and almost 2 hours later I left with a less than average French pedicure and several moments of being uncomfortable. The whole experience left me saying good bye to this business with this review. I can not speak for any of their other services but put plainly, if you want a basic French pedicure, this is not the place for you. read more

I am new to the area and gave this salon two chances. Just now I returned frustrated again. My daughter had a 2:00 appointment with Vivian. When I arrived Vivian was there, however she said out loud and not to me that she had to go pick up her daughter. So she walked out.
