When they refused to help, I contacted Connors & Ferris. After a phone intake via the receptionist, I was told someone named Justin would contact me. Well, Justin called at pretty late hours and I missed his call. He left a message, but only left a 7-digit phone number. I had no idea what the area code was since there are multiple possibilities and I am not from the area. I called reception back and told them what happened, but Justin never called back. A few days later the comp carrier suspended me and I needed a lawyer. What a waste.

I was literally ignored by the WC Insurance Company and by my employer, actually it was worse than that. So I decided that it is time to reach out and I emailed Segar & Sciortino. My call was returned by Cristian Cruzado and he was patient and listened to me. While my case is still being sorted out at this time, and it might be a while until we can put it behind me, without Cristian's work, advice and guidance, I would still be lost and most definitely would have given up which is precisely what my employer, their lawyers and the WC Insurance had in mind from the beginning. I absolutely recommend Segar & Sciortino and especially Cristian Cruzado!!!

The person I spoke with indicated that the people who said I should retain a lawyer don't have their law degree and that I shouldn't believe everything I read on the internet. I was basically told that if the carrier stops paying me, then call them back. Well, I did get suspended and I did NOT call this place back.

They like to single people out without letting any explanation to be given. Very secretative and shady. Do not train their employees - they just throw them into a position and leave them to figure it out. Very high turnover due to the fact that they are only interested in putting the money in their pockets! Have rude, loud, disrespectful attorneys therefore it is very hard to concentrate on workload especially when you are on the phone with a client. Just selfish, selfish, selfish. They will talk behind closed doors or behind your back when you are not around and make you look like a fool. They are never satisfied with anyone but themselves. If you are young and just starting a career and will except low pay - don't even bother - you will not be happy. I would like to also add that while they are letting go of hard, loyal, smart workers they are allowing other employees to sleep at their desks, text on their phone in the bathroom and kitchen for 1/2 hours at a time, wear inappropriate clothing and shoes and are just very unprofessional for a lawfirm setting!

I retained them to look into money my deceased mother had in 2 bank accounts at M&T and KeyBank. Before she passed, she called me needing my SS# because she was heading to Gallo & Iacovangelo to have her will prepared. Both banks informed me I needed her Will to access any money. When I contacted Gallo & Iacovangelo they said they didn't have her will but could bypass it. This was December 2024. This should have been resolved either way in weeks. I was just informed by paralegal Paula Clark that she had no luck recovering any money. 16 months later for something that should have taken weeks!! When I would reach out to her requesting updates, I got no response. The only time she reached out was when she presented me with the bill for services rendered. To say I was livid is an understatement. Then I demanded twice in emails that she return my mother's bank account information as well as her ss#. After no response the first time. I informed her the second time that keeping that information was "theft". She then returned the documents. I will never do business with Gallo & Iacovangelo again!

When the idea of a shared substitute pool through a temp agency came up, I was concerned that with the teacher shortage we would not get good candidates. Not all the candidates are teachers, but they are able to communicate with middle schoolers, which is a great quality. TES took on the task of advertising and recruiting candidates and uses it's dedicated staff to make calls to subs quickly and efficiently. This has taken the burden of filling missing staff positions out of the hands of my very busy clerical staff, which saves us time and stress. We have been able to build up a group of subs that we know and trust and are able to select them first. I have been pleased with the quality of candidate that we receive and the frequency that positions are filled. I know it's tough to find subs and many districts struggle, but an unfilled position is a rarity in our building which makes teachers happy. Happy teachers make happy Principals!
