    Vanilla con cookie gofres
    Kat T.

I saw the picture of the gofres and I had to try it not cause I was totally hungry but wanting dessert first before our late lunch. We ordered the gofres with chocolate gelato and chocolate syrup (over load chocolate). I got a churro also but I should have seen 2,50€ for one OMG and it was not good. I've had better. The gofres is not bad. It was a little hard. Even the ice cream did not make it soft. Weird. But all in all friendly workers and they understand English.

We went to this location in the Arenas Commercial mall twice and one by Barcelonata once. Our absolute favorite flavor was the Tarta De Fresa, which translated means "Strawberry pie." Best dang pie I've ever had. We got the smallest size and it comes with your choice of two scoops of two flavors. The strawberries were very fresh and there were bit of pie crust pieces in the gelato. Gelato was creamy but melted a little faster than some of the ones I've had in Italy. The other flavor that night I chose was a Kinder Bueno which was a vanilla base with bits of Kinder Bueno chocolate. This was okay. When we went to the Barceloneta location they didn't have the amazing Tarta De Fresa flavor, so we went with some fruity cheesecake flavors; although they were good, our favorite will always be the strawberry pie. The beach's prices were a little more than the mall's and they have a credit card minimum of 5 Euro unlike the mall's location. The mall's food court stays open pass the store hours, until 12 or 1AM I believe and Dino's also provides free wifi. 4.5 stars rounding up.

I got the straciatella and the after-eights in a small cup. They also put a nice little cookie on top. The gelato was super creamy and smooth. A really great gelato!!

All of them were absolutely scrumptious and left me wanting more after I finished my cup! The 4.9 rating on Yelp is definitely well deserved. The business is located on one of the small narrow streets on the edge of the Gothic quarter. It's definitely a place you will need to be purposely searching for as this business does not jump out at you until you are right on top of it. As it is a narrow business with limited seating, it will be hit or miss if you get an inside table as most of the sales that were happening while I was there was takeout. Just something to keep in mind if you're looking for sit down dining. Overall, I rarely have had ice cream this good and if you are a fan of well-made ice cream then this is a business you should definitely check out if you are in the Gothic quarter.

We decided on the mixed cup of dolce leche and the vegan blueberry gelato priced at 4€. The blueberry was very sweet and creamy which blended well with the light chocolate dolce. The last two pieces of brioche bread was gobbled up by my two friends who filled them with gelato, at least they let me try it. The bread tasted fresh and not too flaky and with the cold gelato in the center it was a good combo. The bathroom was oddly constructed. It was clean although made for small humans as my head literally hit the roof.
