I really don't like leaving reviews that are less than positive for anyone, but what happened to my husband and I really affected our wedding/wedding celebrations. I also want to start this review by saying my centerpieces were absolutely beautiful. My bouquet had to be changed multiple times on site and ended up being disposed of as soon as the wedding was over (legitimately the most expensive floral arrangement that I planned on preserving). I couldn't understand how the mark was missed so badly on my bouquet but the centerpieces were phenomenal. I am not 100% positive, but I will say at the time I suspected some cost corners were cut regarding the construction of my bouquet (the flowers promised were not used), and this is heartbreaking given the following: I met Faris through an event my husband and I attended through Wounded Warrior Project and didn't bother shopping around for flowers for our wedding because I wanted to support a business that was involved with WWP (husband is a disabled combat vet). My aunt and I loved Faris, and she seemed to know what I wanted. I was given an estimate of around $1,200.00 which was within my budget. About a week before the wedding we were told the cost would actually be around $2,100.00. I said okay, as costs were rising for everything so that made sense and I made it work by shifting some last minute expenses off of my budget. Two days before the event, while at my venue, Faris' assistant called me for payment - which was rejected by our bank when they tried to charge our card for almost $3,000.00. We had to move our honeymoon because this increase was legitimately the cost of our airfare. Two days meant we could not get another florist. My husband, being the lovely man he is, paid it and said we would worry about it later. It was absolutely heartbreaking. I was not made aware that this kind of situation could arise, and they knew my budget and what I was comfortable with when they started working with me. My family was upset, feeling like they pulled a 'bait and switch' on us, though my mother did some research and found out the going cost of such florals and it wasn't super unreasonable. My issue was that there was no communication, calls about rising costs/to prepare myself/maybe change up my florals to something within my budget but instead I was surprised with it when I was completely incapable of using another vendor. The bouquet was so far from what was promised that I would've rejected it. I expressed my surprise and disappointment with what had transpired to Farris' assistant. There was no acknowledgment of what had transpired, no ownership taken and no one reached out to me to try to resolve anything. I went in, in a rush to get to my daughters preschool graduation and the woman working was very helpful. She helped make a beautiful petite bouquet for my daughter and even added the cutest little butterfly decoration. My father also sent me flowers for mothers day from here and didn't realize the day he sent them I was out of town. He called them and they ended up making a new bouquet because the flowers would be fresher and delivered them the day I returned. They were beautiful. This place was my fifth stop of the day after unsuccessfully trying to buy my wife some flowers. I just wanted to cheer her up. I walked in and the lady that helped me was very nice. She asked me what I was looking for, the occasion,and my budget. When she returned she handed me a huge bouquet. Not only were there a bunch of flowers but the arrangement also looked really nice. I was surprised how low the price was for such an incredible arrangement. When my wife saw them, she was so happy. She LOVED them. I went in to buy flowers for a graduation. I was asked if I had a budget which I did state, so we spent about 15min going through some options to meet my budget and she wrote some notes on her pad. I left feeling good. I came back a few days later to pick up the flowers. It was not ready and she put it together in front of me. I was annoyed but it's not the end of the world since I know we are all busy. After she was done, she rang me up. The lady charged me double of what my budget is. I was horrified and very surprised. She told me my bouquet is worth $100 that she just put together ( I told her the other day I only wanted to spend $50). My other batch of flowers ended up costing 2x as much as my budget and she was insistent she is already giving me a discount. Why write down notes and my contact if she wasn't going to abide by my budget? I ended up paying for it because I really needed it that day and didn't have time to go somewhere else. I felt she lied to me and was very misleading, not a very trust worthy way to run a business. I will not be going here anymore. read more

She recently provided flowers for my Mom's passing which coincided with mother's day and prom weekend and even given that, she went above and beyond providing the most beautiful flower arrangements I could have imagined. I would definitely NOT recommend this place for a wedding florist for numerous reasons. I made a 4:00 P.M. appointment with this florist. When I showed up a few minutes before and gave her my name, she first looked at me like I had 5 heads as if she didn't know who I was or why I was there and then told me (with attitude) that she thought our appointment was for 2:30 (which I would never even make an appt. for that time on a week day because I work). After I assured her I made the appointment for 4:00 and had to basically persuade her to meet with me for our scheduled consultation, she sat down with me. While we were going through my wedding details, she kept interrupting me to help walk in customers. (Umm does anyone else work there that could help them out? Kind of rude, especially when I am looking to spend hundreds, maybe thousands of dollars for flowers). After she rushed me through the consultation, she gave me her card and told me she would send me a quote in the mail within the next few days. Well, a week and a half passed and I didn't receive any quote so I called. Once again, the owner was rude and rushed me off the phone, assuring me that she was still working on the quote and would get it to me soon. It is now a month and a half later and I never received a quote. Obviously I went with someone else for flowers but really? How rude and unprofessional. Don't go here!!!!!! read more

Please use Faris flowers for your next event, I cannot recommend her enough. We had her do my daughter's Bat Mitzvah and the centerpieces she created just lit up the room and really added to the event. We didn't have a big budget but I couldn't have pictured a more beautiful flower arrangement. I am hopeless when it comes to design but Faris was able to capture exactly what I wanted and more. I went to another recommended florist first (bc she is downtown and the store looks so elegant, I figured she was out of my price range) but I found Faris so down to earth and easy to work with I went with her. Fairs Flowers did the flowers/decorations for our church wedding ceremony and our reception. The arrangements put together by Faris were elegant, natural, and stunning. We wanted florals that were not overdone and fit in well with the natural surroundings of our botanical garden reception, and we really could not have asked for anything better. Prior to the wedding Faris was extremely helpful in advising colours and arrangements for our venue. Overall we knew she was the expert and left much of the design to her. My daughter got married 8/1/15. She had an idea of what she wanted and Faris did a great job of finding eactly what my daughter described, beautiful sunflowers and babys breath for the flowers at the church including the pews. The bride and bridesmaids flowers were absolutely beautiful with burlap ribbons on the bridesmaids arrangements and a extra fabric from my daughters wedding dress used on her arrangement.
