We've been with Paul and his agency for 10 years with Life Insurance and most of that time with car insurance as well. We recently added a 3rd car and a teenage driver...so our monthly amount went up a lot. We wanted to have a breakdown of what the costs were and if we could save or reduce coverage in any way to save. We met with Paul and he took the time to break down each line item and explain the costs. We ultimately found that we have the coverage that we need and what would be the safest options for our family. A few years ago, we went to a different car insurance because it was cheaper, but in the long run, it was cheaper because we weren't as well covered and their customer service was terrible. So we made the switch back to Paul and it's been great! We made a mistake leaving and were glad to get the great customer service experience again! Worst agency I've had this misfortune to work with in 30 years of continous real estate investing and ownership--in five different states. Paid them $7000 in premiums over a 14 yr period and never filed a single claim or had a single loss. After 14 yrs we bid the policy out with other agencies in the area and got a significantly better quote. Our policy had expired anyway (no mortgage on the house so insurance not even required)--but as a courtesy I let them know that we would not be renewing for a fifteenth year. They repaid the kindness and rewarded the fourteen years of patronage and premiums by claiming we owed them $26.25--for not canceling a policy that had already expired (?)--then turned that over to a collection agency when we refused to pay the trumped up amount. We contacted the State of Utah Insurance Department about the matter--who promptly set them straight and squashed the phony charge. But I'll never get the time back that I spent dealing with their b.s. You can tell a LOT about someone's character by how they act when you break up with them. I would never do business with this agency again and would never recommend them to anyone else. They are petty and pedantic--and wanna-be bullies. I'm sure they've pulled similar stunts with other customers--who probably just wrote the check instead of pushing back and calling them out. I'm not that kind of person. And sadly (for them), they flushed a 5 star rating from a 14 yr customer down the drain for $26.25. Talk about a complete lack of business sense. read more

I have been with Farmer's for over 30 years. Paul is my 3rd agent. By far he is the best agent I have ever had and I've had some pretty good agents. His office is always there for me and bending over backwards to make sure my insurance needs are taken care of. They call every year to remind me that it is time for my insurance review to make sure I'm covered how I need to be. Even if there are no changes needed they still call me to make the appointment.
