Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Misleading Information and Financial Loss
I am writing this review to caution others regarding my experience with agent Shea Garrison. For the past five years, we were lead to believe that we could not make specific cost-saving changes to our auto policy. When we inquired about adjustments, we were explicitly told by Ms. Garrison that such changes were impossible because we did not own our vehicle outright.
As it turns out, this information was entirely inaccurate.
After bypasssing the local office and contacting the Farmers corporate 800-number, I spoke with an online agent who confirmed that vehicle ownership status did not preclude us from modifying our policy. By making these long-overdue adjustments, I saved my family $600 per year--a change that was apparently available to us all along.
Due to the misinformation provided by this office, our family has incurred a cumulative loss of over $3,000 over the last five years. It is deeply disappointing to receive such blatantly incorrect guidance from a licensed professional, especially when that advice results in significant and unnecessary financial strain.
I strongly advise potential clients to double-check any restrictive "policy rules" cited by this agency with the corporate office. We will be escalating this matter formally, as this level of negligence is unacceptable. read more
