I'm naturally attracted to merchandise that can be used to store stuff. At the same time, Gayle would advise that I buy less "stuff", thus minimizing any further container purchases. So here I was in West Des Moines, primarily to look for luggage at REI. And much to my pleasant surprise was this Container Store, just an easy stroll away. I wandered around for a while imagining the possibilities. I ended up with some hangers (which for some reason we always need) and a couple cool storage boxes. Sorry Gayle. :)

My only requirements were for no mess, no seed pods and no volunteers. The Kentucky Coffee Tree they planted has been nothing but trouble. These trees do have seed pods, they shed lots of small branches and there are suckers popping up also. I finally got tired of the mess. I cut the tree down, ground the stump and dug up all the roots I could find. Two years later I still have suckers coming up every week, even in my neighbors yard. I would never use these people again.

We have been lawn care customers of Wright Outdoor Solutions since 2019, but no more! In the spring…read moreof 2021, we had to call THEM to ask when they would be starting our fertilizer and weed control service. They said they were too busy to get to us for crabgrass pre-emergent and it was too late anyway. They did say that they could apply it in the fall. They did graciously agree to put us on the schedule for fertilizer treatments and weed control. After several of their routine treatments, our lawn was out of control by July. Dead spots everywhere and crabgrass has taken over. When a Wright employee showed up in August for a treatment, I asked what he was applying. He said fertilizer and weed killer. I told him we had weeds everywhere and he replied that this treatment would help. Four weeks later the weeds are flourishing and the crabgrass has taken over. Whatever they put down seemed to help the weeds and hurt the grass. Or maybe it was just water he sprayed on our lawn and then charged us $80. In 2019 and 2020, we tried to use them for planting advice and landscaping. They made us feel like we were bothering them to do any services, and when they did come out, they didn't do anything close to what was promised. Do yourself a favor and find somebody else.
