I have to be honest, we were trying to get into a restaurant down the street and when we got there, there was an hour long wait and we decided not to eat there. It was clearly a hotspot that everybody loved. So we started wandering down the street and just came up upon this place. Now, I live my life by the phrase "sex is like Pizza, even if it's bad it's still pretty good." But I have to say this pizza was delicious. It far exceed my expectations. It was a thick crust and locally sourced ingredients. It was fresh, the sauce had a great flavor. They even had things like dipping sauces like a hot honey sauce, which was fantastic. One of my daughters had a shrimp Caesar salad salad that she said was amazing. (warning: it's raw shrimp, not grilled or anything which is fantastic, but just so you know). My other daughter had lasagna and she said it was delicious. I had the pepperoni pizza and my wife had the ham and cheese pizza. With some crushed red pepper and hot honey sauce I ate every bit of it. Also, they had delirium beer, which helped wash it down perfectly. Five stars? I give it six or seven if I could. I'll be back soon. Anytime we come to this area. I will definitely be here. Many moons ago, my hubby and I found this unique restaurant. At the time, it was under new management. We ordered one of their pizzas that we totally enjoyed, and thought we would return. Today's visit was a surprisingly wonderful experience for me and a friend. It was her first time joining me for lunch. As you enter, there was a bit of a wait before being seated. Normally, this wouldn't have mattered too much, however we were very hungry. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, minimalistic, and very clean. I know that sounds a little strange since everything looked nearly new as if the eatery recently opened. The view of the ocean can be seen through the full length glass windows. It should be mentioned that there is outdoor seating as well. One of customers had a charcuterie board filled with so many appetizing delights. Not only was it pleasant to look at, the selections included three types of cheeses, olives, chickpeas, sweet grapes, and more. So delish to see and eat! We ordered one and it truly did not disappoint. The name? The Faro Charcuterie Board. It's a great starter! I had the Grilled Cheese and Pesto Panini that fit right in with the charcuterie. Everything was so delectable and pleasing to the eye. My friend had the lasagna that she thoroughly enjoyed. She said that having the white sauce instead of tomato was new. She mentioned that it was seasoned perfectly. She, too, enjoyed the board and had Brie for the first time. The service initially was okay. Our server was new to being part of the serving aspects. We were fine but we knew she had more to learn. Our second server, Isabella, was great! We had taken the time to enjoy our meals and even had enough to take home. Come here for the Apollo sandwich on house made focaccia. And pizza. And caprese salad. And the view of the ocean, especially around sundown on a full moon. It's sublime. Clean to the point of meticulous. It's just what they do. Wait staff has been inconsistent but who TF really cares when everything else is epic. And most employees are in fact super nice. Don't be picky and just enjoy the place for what it has to offer and you will not be sorry. It's a beach joint but one that maintains an unusually high level of integrity. Another plus is that, besides perhaps one other nearby place, this one is consistent and insanely fresh. If I was forced to add any critique I'd say it would be to offer specials. This place is adorable and has a view of the beach with one side full of windows. Such a cute and fun spot for a beachside brunch or sunset bite to eat with the girls, which is what brought us in! The pizza was SO good - we had half cheese and half eggplant I also had a little espresso because they didn't have coffee at the time. I really wanted to try the chickpea soup and a panini but they were out of the soup and had to make more bread for the paninis so that's why I went with the pizza we had for the table. This is an update from a previous review a couple years ago. We still really loved this place. There were 2 of us and we sat at the bar. We were greeted and drinks served fairly quickly. We ordered the grilled cheese with pesto which was delicious and the Apollo chicken sandwich. It was good but would have been great with maybe some balsamic or something. Would still order it again. We also got a side of the chick peas which I love and a pizza 1/2 crostino and 1/2 diavola. Everything was delicious. I really love having a place like this in flagler. The esthetic is very nice. Delicious menu. The food was good. We were told our order would be taken after waiter delivered another tables drinks. One gluten free pizza was delivered 15 minutes before the other two meals. We asked (after at least 10 minutes ) for our food that could be clearly seen sitting while the waiter delivered another tables drinks and took their order. Every time I go into Faro, I am reminded of how much I like it and my determination to visit more often. I love their wine glasses and, although the wine selection is small, it's tasty. Came here for brunch some time ago after having great lunches here. We were a large party that sat inside. I was able to order a lovely spritzer scrub (an alcoholic beverage with Prosecco base and vinegar to flavor). The favorite for my kids was the avocado toast (bruschetta + avocado). The Burrata was soft and creamy. Everyone seemed to enjoy it with the crisp toast with it. The gluten-free pizza is my favorite. The articiok (artichoke) is packed with veggies. I opt for no cheese or vegan cheese due to an allergy. The rest of the pizzas were delightful. Small squares so everyone could try and share. Sorry but you dropped the ball yesterday. We entered the establishment and the AC wasn't working. In all honesty that wasn't bad, the manager or owner apologized for the heat. However my wife then ordered a salad with chicken and they forgot to add the chicken. When I brought it to the waitress attention she said "no problem I'll bring some chicken out". But here's the problem the chicken she brought out was frozen, maybe an oversight but it could get someone sick next time. read more

As a local, you tend to frequent your favorite spots, especially if you like healthy food, and I kept wanting to stop here and try it out, so one day I made a plan to spend a day checking out all the newer spots in Flagler Beach, even though this spot had been open for well over a year. It did not disappoint! I was first impressed by my Pellegrino being served on a nice wine glass with a lime. Just that alone let me know they pay attention to detail. I wanted a nice healthy lunch but the bread and oil sounded really good so I added that on. I had a lovely delicious salad with olives and it was the perfect healthier Mediterranean lunch complimented by an ocean view! Stop in- definitely recommend, especially since you can walk right off the beach and head in for a nice lunch, shaded by some lovely patio umbrellas. I am really hoping to come back and actually eat next time. We went, for my birthday, and were told we could only sit at the bar as a party of 2 even though there were four tops available. Strike one. We had to wait for people to move out of the way so we could get to the empty seats at the bar. Once there, we sat... and sat... and sat without anyone talking to us. The place is tiny and there are 5 ladies working, this should not be the case. Strike two. Finally, someone said "have you been helped yet?" No, we haven't. I knew exactly what we were ordering. A blackberry shrub, a red sangria, and a burrata. After a few minutes, she came back saying they were out of burrata, which was my main draw for coming. Strike three. We have been here before, they made fabulous pizza peels. It's been about 2/3 years because we don't live in the area anymore. We got the duo peel that's 2 different types of pizza in one box. Margarita and 1/2 tomato, red onion, and mushroom. 1st 1/2 barely any cheese, burnt crust, and the bottom was soggy, I had to lift it with a fork and this was the best 1/2. Next 1/2, the 1 slice of onion was soggy, about 10 super thin slices of mushroom, a decent amount of tomato but the worst part was it was completely wet on the bottom, couldn't lift it, it was beyond soggy. So once you got it into your plate you needed a knife and fork until you got to the crust then you could lift it, it was as though it was completely sunk in, in the middle. If you think there's nothing else I could say about this 32$ waste of money, you'd be wrong. The chef thought it would be a good thing to empty the oregano bottle into the top of it. So much OREGANO! We used the silverware to scrape most of it off. So sad that a place with such potential would let themselves go down hill like that. read more

So my review is more of a 3 1/2 star review. The food is great. This is exactly what I would hope to have found in Flagler Beach. The atmosphere is well thought out, people are friendly. But, we have never been to Florida and our first overnight stop is Flagler Beach and after a 12 hr drive we were very hungry. At the counter we ordered a to-go order and the young lady "after we ordered" said we couldn't do a to-go order...(short staffed) we ended up sitting outside with our dogs and eating and everything was great but this should not have been an issue in the first place. I will be back.... I am a repeat customer- I would just say that if you are not allowing something that is often offered make this known long before wasting peoples time! This is the next place that my son and I tried on our journey to leave reviews for as many local restaurants as possible. That being said, after one visit, we love this place. The food is so good, especially the pizza. We got a half and half pizza with 1 side being pepperoni and the other side being a pizza with a lot of vegetables on it. The service was also amazing. They offered refills each time we would run out of water or soda. They also worked so hard on the pizza and it was so good. The peace in there was so good and the vibe was amazing. Nice addition to Flagler! I believe this is the same restaurant as focaccia in palm coast as the pizza is the same and I think I saw the owner behind the counter. The menu has good options for pizza and aps, so there's something for everyone. We got the buratta which came with tomatoes and 2 tiny slices of bread- it was good but for the price they could have definitely given more bread. Also got an assortment of pizzas - the most memorable we're the zucchini and potato ones which we enjoyed. This is definitely authentic Roman style pizza! FRESH! Brand new, hip Mediterranean euro inspired fare in a clean, bright modern setting. This is a welcome change from the area's tired shrimp basket and fried fish offerings. We tried a bunch of different things to get a variety of the menu. Started with Pinot Noir, which was mellow and went down easy and a pretty Prosecco cocktail that was well executed. Then some Focaccia bread side with olive oil, herbs and balsamic which was light and tasty. The shrimp cocktail was served on lettuce and avocado slices in a creamy house made dressing, different and unique and refreshing. We tried one of their Broccolo slices of home made pizza, which was abundant with broccoli but light on the sausage. I would've loved one more piece of sausage on the slices. They have lots of eclectic pizza combos to try too numerous to remember. The Paninis going by our table looked amazing although we will have to try those next time. The interior is bright and sunny with floor to ceiling windows and the decor is reminiscent of a cafe in a seaside Mediterranean village and all very serene and pleasing to the eyes. If I could have my wishes I would add a ceviche dish or some other light seafood item as they are just steps from the beach. Faro is fantastic and worth a try. It's definitely something different and it stands out for sure. They have sidewalk seating. A bit pricy, but good food, made in house is worth paying for. We stopped in to give this local bistro a try today. First, this was a blind visit and not knowing the type of restaurant this is we were ready for pretty much ready anything. You never know what you'll get when visiting small local restaurant for the first time, it can be hit or miss; this time it was hit and here is why: Upon stepping in the door we were cheerfully welcomed and saw an amazing display of gourmet pizzas. There is a wide selection that included something for everyone including vegan and gluten free pizzas. We took a table and were provided a menu. There is a nice selection of food to include salads, soups, sandwiches, pasta dishes, and the previously mentioned gourmet piazzas. Beverages include soda, tea, beer and wine. We ordered five different types of pizza by the slice; potato and sausage pizza, pepperoni pizza, tomato arugula and mozzarella pizza, margarita pizza, potato and rosemary pizza. All were delicious and light and fluffy on the inside with a perfect crisp bottom. Their pizza oven is dialed in perfectly. This is NOT your common big-box fast food pizza delivery pizza, but rather top quality gourmet pizza that is filled with flavor. The restaurant itself is extremely organized and super spotless clean, including the back of the house I could see through the kitchen doors. We also learned that Faro Beachside Eatery opened just a week ago. Honestly, we could not tell because the employees we interacted with were all friendly and very knowledgeable; they never missed a beat. This is a casual atmosphere with fair prices and great food. I always love trying new places so I was excited to try this place based on other people reviews, and by scanning their intricate menu. They have an "Italian" theme to their menu but a lot of their dishes are very unique which includes their specialty flatbread pizzas. I came with my mom & aunt for an early lunch so it was not busy at all and we got our pick of seats. There is indoor & outdoor seating, but I think a lot of people come in from the beach and get food to-go which you are able to do as well. I noticed most people came in for a slice of the flatbread which looked very good. The inside is very clean and well decorated. I love the wood flooring, and the windows so there is a lot of light coming into the restaurant. I ordered the "Trawler" panini which had shrimp, avocado, romaine, tomato and cocktail sauce. This was very disappointing. First off, it was a panini and usually paninis are pressed and warm...this was not. Also I got maybe two shrimp on the whole sandwich. Without that cocktail sauce, the sandwich was very bland as well. For $10 I did not think it was worth it at all, and they should maybe include a side such as chips or fries for that price. I also got a side order of bapo which were cold basil pesto marinated potatoes. Now these were very good! I wish they gave that to me with my sandwich though...they served it to me as an appetizer. My mom got the faro salad which was very green and lacked ingredients. It had very few chickpeas. It was mostly greens. She also got the focaccia...it was ok, nothing to hoot and holler about. My aunt got the best meal of all of us. She had the eggplant parmesan which she said was very good. She also got a canoli to go which looked very good. Overall, I was not thrilled with the food, but will have to come back and try the flatbreads since that's what it seems most people are going for.
