The flavor was good, but it was served on a basic toast. I think it would really pop on a sturdier, toasted bread for a better texture contrast with the creamy goat cheese. The space itself is simple and beachy. They have about 7-8 tables, with bench seating on one side and chairs on the other. Heads up: no padding, so if you're like some of my family, you may want to bring a cushion (LOL). We didn't feel rushed at all even though they close at 3pm, and it was nice to enjoy our meal and conversation without feeling hurried. Parking can be tricky in this area, but we found a spot across the street and walked over. All in all, Vessel makes for a pleasant, casual spot for lunch. I just don't think there's anything about Rustic Dough Works' pizza that elevates it above the other pizzerias in town. One bite and all your cheese is probably going to be separated from the slice. I've had multiple trips to confirm this is how they cook it. The flavor is acceptable but far, far less satisfying than several competitors'. The dough and crust itself isn't the worst - the sourdough flavor is certainly different and some people might like that. But with how charred it gets on the edges, it's not for my tastes. Not to mention this place has tacky AI photos of their food. I forgot to take pictures myself, but let's just say if their dishes were appetizing in their own right, they'd just post real photos of them. If you're looking for great local pizza, you'd be far better off with Terranova's, Rocky's, or Tony's. Rustic Dough Works, while not the worst out there, doesn't have enough appeal to make it worth the steep pricing of even an exploratory visit.

I also ordered my sandwich on a bagel -- which is shown on my receipt and order confirmation -- but it was made on a roll instead. In addition, the meal was supposed to come with home fries, but they were missing. When I called the restaurant, I was told you they had run out of home fries and then the other plate we had, we did get fries and they ended up all burned. I understand that things can run out, especially on holidays, but usually customers are informed or offered a substitute. No one called to let me know beforehand or offered anything in place of the missing item. I had to call myself to let them know. I also have a picture of my receipt showing the correct order details. This was my first experience with this location, and it was disappointing. It was my husband and I anniversary (12 year) and we wanted a nice breakfast meal before we had to the beach to celebrate and unfortunately we didn't get to a good experience.

I ordered the Irish Benedicte with hash that is homemade on premise with slow roasted corned beef. Very tasty. The side of Home fries were thinly sliced and I had gravy added to that so it was tasty too. Our server was excellent, Trevor was a very nice guy and he recommended we come back for the all you can eat ribs. I wish I was staying in town longer and I would. I'll make a point to come back next visit.

Ordering at the counter was easy and our food was brought out timely to what we ordered. Both the coffee and the wrap were delicious! Their menu has a mix of sweet and savory breakfast and lunch items. There was a stage in the corner, so we will have to follow to see when they have love music.

When people talk about authentic New Jersey or New York pizza, you usually expect that slight buildup of grease on top - this didn't have it. The veal parmesan, however, was cooked perfectly. It had a generous amount of cheese and was served with a serrated butter knife, which actually felt very reminiscent of New Jersey. The bruschetta was also very good. The cheesecake tasted like proper New York cheesecake, and the tiramisu was some of the best I've had, the only complaint there is that the portion should've been a little taller. The reason I'm giving this place three stars is the spaghetti. It had a noticeable soap-like taste. When I mentioned it to the waitress, I made it clear it was constructive criticism; I wasn't expecting a discount but I did expect at least an apology or some attempt to address it. That never happened, and because of that, the rating ends up where it is.

I placed an online order and waited approximately an hour and a half for it, only to be told that the order had apparently never been printed. After waiting that long, I expected at the very least an apology and an effort to make the situation right. Instead, the manager, Shanice, was extremely rude, disrespectful, and dismissive toward me. What made the situation even worse was the attitude I received after I had already spent an hour and a half waiting for an order that was apparently lost because of an issue on the restaurant's end. The pizza I ultimately received was also extremely disappointing. As you can see from the photos, the pizza was poorly presented, messy, and looked like it had been thrown together rather than prepared with any care. Mistakes happen in restaurants. Orders get missed. Printers malfunction. I can understand that. What I cannot understand is treating a customer disrespectfully after the restaurant has already made a significant mistake. Management should take this situation seriously and review how this location is being run and, specifically, how customers are being treated by the manager on duty. Customers should not have to wait an hour and a half for an order that was never processed and then be treated as though their frustration is an inconvenience. I hope someone above the store level actually reviews this complaint and addresses both the handling of online orders and the way customers are spoken to when something goes wrong.
