I ordered the #1 combo: two tenders, fries, sliced bread, Dave's sauce, pickles, and a drink. At roughly $25 to $27, the price felt pretty steep for a takeout tender combo. I know Drake is backed as an investor here, so maybe that plays into the pricing, but it definitely felt expensive. That said, the portions are solid. The tenders were large, super juicy, and well cooked. The Medium heat level was spot on for what I wanted and it gave a nice light kick without being overly spicy. Honestly, the fries were my absolute favorite part of the meal! They were crispy, super tasty, and perfectly seasoned. The Dave's sauce was good, though a pretty familiar flavor profile if you've had similar chicken joints. The pickles added a nice crunch. My only critique on the side is the bread... getting plain white bread slices feels like a missed opportunity. If they toasted it into Texas toast, it would take the meal to another level. The fountain drink size included in the combo felt surprisingly small, especially for a takeout order. The Leslieville location itself is fantastic. The exterior design really catches your eye from the street, and the inside is spacious with two levels. I especially loved the neighborhood-specific touches, like the custom "Leslieville" graffiti art on the wall... it gives the space a great local personality. Service was friendly. Is it a bit too pricey to become a regular spot? Yeah, probably. But the quality and juiciness of the chicken are definitely there. I'll be back down the road but only to finally get my hands on those cheese sticks (and maybe a milkshake next time!).

Just a heads up though, if you order "mild" it is still definitely spicy, but in a good way. That said, the service was a big downside. When I went with friends, the place was not even busy, but it still took about 20 minutes for our food to come out (yes I counted because we were in a rush). We only ordered two tenders with no drink. For something that feels like fast food, that is pretty unreasonable. I also went specifically to try the mozzarella sticks, but we were told they had not even started making them and it would take another 40 minutes, which is kind of wild. Even when our food was ready, things moved really slowly. The cashier took SEVERAL minutes just labeling and staring at each box, even though we all ordered the same thing, and then another minute just to put everything into a paper bag. Maybe it was his first day? Another frustrating part was that the washrooms were locked, so we could not even use them while we were there, which was a mild inconvenience, but I think bathroom access in a spicy chicken shop is a bit crucial. The spicy mayo sauce that comes with it goes great with the fries and pickle slices. I'm not usually a fan of pickles, but they were surprisingly really good. The burger was very good. Although I found it a little weird that they didn't have any cheese, tomato, or lettuce in the burger, it did include slaw (mixture of cabbage and onion) and a little bit of sauce on the buns. I think I liked it better without the regular burger condiments; it really brings out the taste in the chicken. The chicken itself was so good- juicy, tender, and more than enough seasoning and spice to coat everything. The sauce went along amazing with the chicken. Apart from the sickness the food is atrocious and nothing like the restaurants on Major MacKenzie Drive. I have gone to this restaurant several times since it opened and it is always atrocious, but I keep going back in the hopes that one day I might get food that resembles the Major Mac locations.
