I tried to make an appointment for a lingering cough and mentioned that I've also had some accompanying pains in my lungs. They immediately told me the wouldn't see me and that I would have to go to the ER. The excuse to avoid giving me any sort of care is that they "dont have the equipment for that sort of emergency" but It's clearly not an emergency as I'm walking, talking, and making an appt for a future date. I know nothing will change there as its government-run so theres no sort of oversight or quality control, but I want to make sure prospective patients know what to not say so they don't end up in my situation

I had Dr. Trujillo for my third pregnancy & scheduled c-section. I will mention that I have had…read moremany issues with SANSUM in the past but Dr. Trujillo is a gem! I could review the year he was my Ob-Gyn but I'll try to keep it short-ish. :) #1- Bedside manner is genuine, caring; comforting during each appointment as well as my surgery/delivery and hospital stay. #2- Knowledgeable of and experienced with a rare condition I had during my second pregnancy (the one before I had him) called HELLP Syndrome. He calmed me down on several occasions of nervousness. #3- I specifically asked him to use two other Lompoc doctors I trust for my c-section (Dr. Gusland & Dr. Schlosser) which he happily accepted. Dr. Trujillo was the main doctor, Gusland assisted during the surgery and Schlosser was the Pediatrician. This was the first time the three of them worked together on a c-section...my husband & I call them "The Dream Team". #4- When the anesthesiologist, Dr. Quan (sp?), who was number four of my dream team, was inserting the epidural "tubing" into my back Dr. Trujillo asked the nurse to step aside so he could hold my hands and comfort me. #5- He checked in on me every single day I was in the hospital. He sat with me, hugged me while I was having a hormonal few minutes. Like I said, I could go on and on about how wonderful Dr. Trujillo is. Lompoc is truly lucky to have him!

I was ex-ray and diagnosed with multiple fractures. I saw Dr. Sawyer the next day with results of the previous day findngs . He was very very angry with me for having gone there and chewed me out royally!!!!! On day three I went to Lompoc emergency I was admitted to the hospital and while there he never once visited nor did he do anything to show he cared. . This happened one year ago.
