I needed to call farraghers for a broken washer and they came on time and were very professional. I would recommend them for service.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with C & J Buckeye Repair in Girard, Ohio…read more I initially called to ask about the price for a washer diagnostic service. The receptionist seemed irritated, but gave me the pricing information, and I explained that I would call back after speaking with my husband. About five minutes later, I called back to schedule the appointment. The phone rang twice and then went straight to voicemail. I called again two more times, several minutes apart, and each time my call appeared to be declined and sent directly to voicemail. Shortly after my third attempt, I received a text message from an unknown personal cell phone number stating: "Hi there, this is Kristy from Buckeye Appliance Repair. I will not be scheduling new appointments for the next week. Sorry for any inconvenience." What made this situation even more upsetting was that I had my mother called a couple hours later asking for the exact same service and was immediately told they could come out the very next day. The only noticeable difference between our calls was our names (which show on the caller ID). I have a distinctly African American name, while my mother's name is Sandi. I cannot say with certainty what motivated the different treatment, but based on the timing and circumstances, the experience felt discriminatory and deeply uncomfortable. If appointments truly were unavailable, I believe that should have been communicated honestly and professionally over the phone instead of repeatedly declining my calls. I always try to support local businesses in my community, which is why this experience was so disappointing. Unfortunately, because of how I was treated, I would not recommend this business to others.

We determined it wasn't the washer (it was a drain hose issue). But after he left the washer wouldn't work at all. I panicked a bit and called in and texted asking them to send him back. The man I got on the phone in the office was a D-bag! Instead of saying "He's already on another job and let me see if I can help" he replied with "He's already in Canton, I can't just send him back. He's working on a $15,000 appliance job. He's an expert on those machines. He'll have to call you" It wasn't only WHAT he said, but HOW he said it. Super dismissive. Well thanks for letting me know I'm not important because my washer wasn't worth $15,000. Dean called me back and explained that I had to unplug and reset the controls and everything was fine. Why couldn't the guy on the phone just say "He's at another site, but I will find out what's wrong and call you right back or send someone else" Dean you were great, your manager....not so much.

They do have a customer for life and I always recommend them to others. Please know that great customer service and experience are hard to find nowadays. We couldn't do same day, so we met the following morning. Just as hoped, the guy kept it straightforward, honest, helpful and as described. A little context: Originally Sears was out (yes, they still exist). Having repaired a few refrigerators, garage doors and operator control boards myself over the years, I knew things weren't right with these Sears guys (yes, plural -- well, one in training, poor sod). They weren't dishonest, really, just excessive. Especially with cost (...pretty obviously constrained by dinosaur policy -- what felt geared towards getting a fleeced customer to buy a new appliance from Sears). The Sears guys estimated a four-figure two-man project, including for two off-the-shelf generic machine screws, $37 each, parts only. (Still had to pay them for coming out.) Bless their little hearts. I can see how people get bamboozed by this blue-shirted Sears "professionalism". Hearing good things, I contacted Daniil. And in a little more than a day, paid an eighth of the price for way more, better, no-nonsense, good natured, in-and-out service. With warranty. (Sears' job was to be "As-is" for an older-ish appliance in excellent condition.) We're grateful, Daniil -

Then he had the nerve to ask for 5200 dollars upfront with this choice warranty supposedly kicking in another 3000. I knew right then and there he was a scammer so i told him to come on out for the check. Well he did show up, i think his name was jim. When he got here i asked him where the contract was at, he told me he couldn't get me a contract until the installers provided one. Evidently he wasnt the installer. Had no install date had no info on he replacement but sure wanted that check it was almost insulting. Needless to say I threw him out of my house. Never ever do business with these people and home choice is a big scam they send some bufoon like jim out wanting big bucks with no contract knowing most people wont pay up without a contract therefore absolving them from providing any repairs since you have to use there provided contractors. Pretty disgusting.
