my son bought a bday bouquet from this florist on 5/22 and brought it directly to my home .. some of the flowers at arrival had wilted already; however I didn't make much of it .. quickly glancing over. Today is Monday 5/24 and the bouquet unfortunately is in a v sad shape. He is a student and had spent $60 on a small vase bouquet. Called this florist shop last min at 9 something am and wanted flowers delivered to my sis at work before she left at 3pm same day. The florist was able to accommodate my last minute request. My (sweet, awesome, amazing) boyfriend wanted to get me an amazing floral arrangement for Valentine's Day. He asked them to make a huge but elegant arrangement of red roses no matter the cost. I got this arrangement of long stemmed roses, filled with filler and orchids haphazardly stuck in the bottom that began dying within 24 hours. For this luxury, I later discovered they charged him $450 (!!!). Now, a dozen roses at Ralphs is $19.99. A similar arrangement at a place like The Empty Vase would cost $200. I couldn't believe the rip off. He went to express his displeasure, and was told they would fix it by offering him an arrangement exactly half the size. That didn't make me happy. They're ripping him off because he's a sweet guy with deep pockets. I called myself to make it clear he should get a partial refund, not more sub par flowers. I was initially hung up on, then lectured on how we as women are to keep a man... which apparently means keeping your mouth shut when you get crappy flowers and know he's being ripped off. Business owner was hostile and admitted no wrong doing. Don't use this place. They don't stand behind their work, and they don't give good customer service. And if you don't know anything about flowers, they will rip you all the way off. read more

This was the only florist In the area open on the Sun. I needed flowers so I was stuck. The selection here is minimal. The store, to me seems quite messy and dirty. When I chose the flowers ... they obviously were not fresh. She had to dump some really gross water out of them and put clean water in them. She also cut some dead leaves off before handing them to me. I gave them as a gift.... pretty scary since I'm sure they died the next day. That's $125 down the drain. read more

She did a bridal bouquet for me and it was horrible. People that saw it laughed at me. I then had to use another florist to do EXACTLY what I asked for. And I was happy. But what a way to start your wedding day!! I asked for a refund and she hasn't returned my calls. She ruined my morning. This florist doesn't like to right her wrongs. Which is ethically wrong. I was perusing websites to find something outside of the darn teleflora arrangements and found Farrah. I found a number of beautiful arrangements on the site and honestly I had a hard time choosing which one to purchase! After using the chat feature on their website, I was able to see that I could send a custom request based on an existing floral arrangement on the site. Some would say I was taking a big chance as I wouldn't see the final product. But, my bff sent me a pic of her birthday arrangement and she was delighted as was I. I called toward the end of the day for a same-day delivery and their delivery person was already off for the day, so the very kind woman who answered the phone (Brantneé) offered to hand-deliver the flowers herself after her shift ended. I just received the most beautiful and elegant flower orchid vase from my friend at the office. I asked him where he bought it from and he said Farrah's Flowers in LA. Everyone at work was blown away. I had to call the florist and ask if they are willing to make weekly deliveries of the same arrangement, and she said that those flowers last over 2 weeks. The flowers lasted three weeks! I was so impressed!! So now, every 3 weeks we get an arrangement delivered. When you call, ask to speak with either Farrah or Saeed. Don't order from this place. I ordered a $100 tropical arrangement for my wife to be delivered today so I could give it to her tomorrow for Valentine's Day. I ordered it at 9am today. At one o'clock I called and they told me it was on the van for delivery. At four o'clock I called again, and was told it was still on the van. I live SEVEN blocks from this place. At SEVEN THIRTY I called back. After ten minutes on hold, they said the order was lost. After two calls, I was totally lied to. My CC was charged at 10 am. I was told they would deliver by 8pm. I asked to meet the delivery guy in the yard so not to ruin the surprise. 755pm. Now my wife is sitting close to the front door, and I'm waiting for the guy to come. 8pm. Here. Ok the only positive thing about this S#+t show. The very nice delivery woman called me from out front to arrange for the (covert) exchange, and was very nice to me, especially the way I unloaded on her. I give her 5. I called this place same-day looking for Stargazer Lillies. They had some, but due to COVID, were closing an hour earlier than normal. I said I would be by about 15 minute to closing. My last meeting ran late, so I ran late. I called about 5 minutes to closing and said I was on my way. Saeed said he would wait and did! I arrived and he did not rush me. I had many gorgeous stems to choose from -- really they all looked brand new fresh, many not bloomed yet, in gorgeous condition. Sayed carefully and gently pulled the stems I chose created a beautiful bouquet. I will definitely choose to patronize this florist from now on. They were patient, helpful, and didn't rush me even though I ran them over closing time. read more

I am gaga over cute local business - especially when they happen to live in close proximity to me - therefore, I have visited Farrah Florist on multiple occasions to peruse the gorgeous plants and flower arrangements. Everything in Farrah's is pricey but appears beautiful and, therefore, worth it, right? Turns out, not so much. As a plant lover, I have many in and outside of my house. I went to Farrah to purchase a new indoor plant for a poorly lit location. I consulted with and, ultimately, trusted the expertise of the woman who recommended one particular plant and instructed I occasionally water when the soil felt dry - easy enough! So, $25 later, I went home with my cute little pot and plant with pretty red leaves. Not even three days later, the plant began to lose leaves, but the soil still felt as damp as it did when I left the store. After a week, only an anorexic three of the original 15 or so leaves were left! Needless to say, I was unhappy, but, after paying $25 for 15 leaves, I figured Farrah couldn't possibly let me walk away an unhappy neighborhood customer. So, I walked with my plant down the street to Farrah. I was promptly met by one of the rudest gentlemen I have ever dealt with. Not only did he tell me that the plant's untimely death was my fault, but he went on to say "this is not Home Depot, we cannot just take plants back." I'm sorry, what?! After paying Farrah prices, I'm fairly certain no one would mistake it for Home Depot. Now, for better or worse, my plant has managed to hold on to one sad leaf, but I will never buy another from Farrah. read more

There was fruit (good) and 4 items from the 99 store. Knowing her good taste we checked on the price of the wine- 1.99 and 3.99. My review is consistent with many of the negative reviews. I purchased a fairly expensive bouquet for a loved one. I received the flowers that looked like they were already dying on arrival. Sure enough the next day the flowers condition deteriorated significantly forcing me to return them shortly after. Also, before this even happened, the flowers were delivered on the wrong day ruining the surprise. Perhaps other people have had better experiences. read more

I've never been to this shop nor purchased any of their products, but I can tell already that I wouldn't based on my first interaction with the owner. My husband and I were attempting to park in a public, metered spot in front of this location and a gentleman was standing there blocking the spot. I lowered my window and asked politely if he could move so we could park. He was very rude and said he was waiting for a truck and that this was his business; therefore, refusing to move. Geez, what if I had wanted to shop at his store? He wouldn't move for a customer?! It's a public spot! We ended up leaving the area completely, and I'm sure he must do this all the time. Judging by the other poor reviews, I'm comfortable saying that his poor character = poor customer service = poor products. read more

This week, after doing a lot of research on which florist to order flowers from for a delivery in Santa Monica, I decided to choose Farrah's Florist on Wilshire Boulevard. I am so happy I did and definitely made the right decision! I placed my order late morning for a same-day delivery and roughly one hour later, my friend received the beautiful Cymbidium Orchid with Hydrangeas arrangement I chose. Not only that, as a surprise kindness, Farrah's Florist made my standard size arrangement more robust and full by adding more flowers than expected! I could tell this when I saw the photo of the actual arrangement that was delivered and spoke to the store afterwards to let them know how much I appreciated this! I don't order flowers often at all, so this was a big decision for me.
