I had a very disappointing experience with an assistant manager at the Georgetown, Texas Home Depot…read morewhile trying to resolve an issue regarding a washer and dryer purchase totaling over $1,000 that I had been told would be delivered that day. When I called for clarification, the assistant manager was dismissive and unhelpful. She insisted that my sister -- who lives in Chicago -- would need to come into the Georgetown store in person to resolve the issue. That is not realistic and certainly not reasonable for a delivery issue involving a $1,000+ major appliance purchase. She also suggested there may have been an issue because my sister's bank is "out of state." This explanation does not make sense. Many customers use banks or credit unions headquartered outside of Texas. Modern banking does not require a financial institution to be locally based in order to process a transaction. The comment felt inaccurate and dismissive. Additionally, she indicated that speaking with another manager would not change the outcome and suggested there was no avenue for further review or escalation. The message was clear that no one at the store level was willing to step in to reassess or attempt to resolve the situation. Instead of working toward a solution, there was no meaningful effort to clarify the delivery issue or provide assistance. For a $1,000+ appliance purchase, customers deserve clear communication, professionalism, and problem-solving -- especially when delivery is involved. Customers should never feel like a burden when attempting to spend significant money at a store. If this level of service is standard practice, I would encourage others to consider taking their business to a retailer that values and supports its customers.

He is professional, polite, and does exceptional work. Sean spent time with my wife and I to pick the right exterior color for our house. He provided several samples and professional insights on what would look good. In addition, he replaced parts of the facia and the trim around several exterior windows. He also replaced a section of my gutters and all of my window screens. The new exterior paint on my siding looks amazing and I couldn't be happier. The new paint and screens make my house look brand new again! Sean and his team were on time every day and his follow up was second to none. He over communicated on when he would arrive, leave, and when the project would be finished. He set realistic expectations on timeframes and Sean is one of the most detail oriented guys I've ever met. At the end, he walked us through every part he painted or fixed to make sure his work was satisfactory. After the project was over, he came back to touch up a few spots he felt needed another coat. I wholeheartedly recommend Sean, his team, and ACP Whole-House Painting for your painting needs. You will not find a more professional painter or better person to take care of your painting needs. I recommend him to my friends, family, and neighbors. Please give him a call and you will not be let down!

I recently had 21st Century repaint the exterior of my house. You can find that review here as…read morewell. I'm writing a new one because this is a different project. After they finished painting my house, a few weeks later after heavy rains I noticed a stain on the ceiling of a guest bedroom. I knew immediately it was the long nagging problem of the "dead valley" along my roof. The house was designed and built according to the architect's drawings to have the roof of the first floor bedroom run into the siding of the house. It was a short "run" and rainfall should go quickly into the gutters. But, this was built under a big, old oak tree and for many years, I've had leaves and twigs built up, damming up the water. If I can remember it, I have to get up on a ladder with a rake and rake the leaves away from where the shingles meet the siding. After one major hailstorm, I had the roof replaced and when they replacing it, I asked them to build something to reduce the leave/branch damming. They did build it, but apparently not big enough. It lasted probably 14-15 years until this recent Spring. Since I had a good experience with 21st Century, I called them out to give me a bid on repairing what was probably rotted trim and exposed flashing and other rot elsewhere. And while they were at it, I asked them to build me a better diverter away from the siding. They came out and took care of it in a day. The guy was there from 8:30 to 5:00, taking a break for lunch, but got it done. Since they were also the painters, they asked me for the leftover paint they left for me (for touch-up) that came in handy as they had to replace the rotten trim and as it turned out a section of the roof decking. Attached are the pictures they took for the bid and then afterwards when they were complete. They were detailed enough to ask me first, "hey, this diversion we're putting in is a lighter grey then your shingles. Are you okay with that? We can go back and get darker materials". I said that was fine. No one can see that part of the roof and so it was trivial to me. The only negative thing from the painting and the roofing experience is so minor it's not worth taking away a star is that there will be a gap between when you sign and return the contract and they contact you about scheduling the actual work. In both cases, I had to drop them a line to remind them I was in the queue. Being a service that can't work when it's raining, I can understand that they have days where scheduled work is delayed and that causes a snowball effect of delays.
