I had looked up an oddball tank flapper for an American Standard toilet. You can't buy one of the Korky ones for this toilet without replacing the guts. What I forgot was that Lowe's had it in store, but Home Depot didn't. After searching in vain for about 5 minutes I finally asked someone. He was very polite but a little hard to understand. Ultimately he referred me to the Ferguson store at North Mays and University in Round Rock. It's real shame that Home Depot overloads stock quantities of some items and doesn't stock others that their competitor has regularly available. When you need a toilet flapper you don't always have time to order it and wait for it to come into the store. On the bright side, parking was easy. There weren't that many people at the store. The heat outside today was insane so I ordered 10 bags of crushed granite for curbside pickup. This was the first time using the service and I'm hooked. Once I arrived I used the app and checked in. This is a far cry from what I have always experienced in other HDs or their competitors. Usually the hardest thing to find in these stores is someone to help you when you need it. I had washer and dryer delivered. Paid for installation and haul away for both. Delivery guys could not disconnect the water line from the facet. They couldn't install the dryer be one of the socket holes tested bad. They told me Home Depot had a plumbing service to help. Called after a few days after no calls to schedule. There were no notes, only delivered. On second call told they didn't provide. The washer and dryer were not installed. Washer left since they couldn't disconnect. Called my appliance guy. The knob had to turned different direction. He did the, haul away, installation and repairs for less. I am now going back and forth with customer service on refund for washer since there were no notes. I recommend not using the installation-haul away service because if there are any issues service is terrible. I did finally get refunded. Just a big waste of time and almost as if I was lying. read more

Why am I being accosted by salespeople in Home Depot? I went to my local HD a couple of days ago to buy paint, and an employee was standing by the paint station. I asked her a question about the paint selection and she starts pitching a kitchen remodel funded by State Farm. She then asks for my phone number and asks whether I'm free the next couple of days for a rep to drop by and take a look at my kitchen! Mind you, this was in December 23rd. Why would I want someone dropping by my house on Christmas Eve? It was an incredibly awkward and stressful Interaction, and all I wanted was paint! This is the second time this is happened to me. Basically this store is in my backyard! I stop in here all the time and have never reviewed it. Why ... well I don't know!? It is a Home Depot... they have just about everything. The garden dept here is always filled with great annuals, perennials, cactus and succulents! Great selection and reasonable prices. Then on the inside there is isle after isle of "stuff" oh glorious stuff! I lost the allen wrench that I needed to put my boys bed back together from our move and they had it. We needed shelf lining paper... they had it! Heck they even had these really cool night lights that project pictures on the wall at night!! Super cool!! (My boys used them the first night in the new place and loved them!) I actually found people to help when I needed it and they had several registers open to get me out fast. Great experiences! I know this is my local store... and it is easy for me to come here... but it is a good one! read more

I looked at a YouTube channel called "project Farm" which I heatedly recommend! He compares power Tools from different manufacturers and gives you the prices and performance. I was pleasantly surprised by the results that included their Store Brand (Ryobi) out performed other more expensive brands. It has beaten Mikita, Dewalt, and others especially when compared in value. Sometimes the high dollar tools outdid the Ryobi, but the value (as in mush less expensive, but performance is less). But I always thought the store brands were nowhere near the more expensive models. Sometimes you get better than what you paid for. So I recommend comparing the "great brands to the Ryobi". I got a power saw that cost much below less, performs a little less, but I but was still a bang for a buck. And I definitely recommend the channel. I even contributed money cuz he buys a lot of what he performs testing. read more

He helped me to choose the right one and it was fast. Any appliances I need or any little things guys can guide me in a sec. I always have a difficult time finding someone to help. I went to this store during a busy time and needed assistance with a large umbrella. Harvey in the garden department was so nice even when his coworker was extremely rude to both of us. She seemEd very annoyed I was asking for help stating, " that's a different department. I came to the pflugerville location after a horrible experience last night at the Round Rock location. Last night I stopped at the RR location to buy 600sqf of flooring. The rep in the flooring department was about as friendly as the rude employees at Walmart. I had them keep the pallet of flooring and came to the PfL location. I almost went to Lowe's but thought I would give them another shot. I mean the price was the same at both stores. First off they hire a very irresponsible 3rd party installers/deliveries that when installing my very expensive stove they scratched my very expensive floor and I had to do ALL THE LEG Work to get it resolved. The reps on the phone are absolutely RUDE!!!!! They need to learn customer service! I purchased a product based on the specs it would into my car. I got to the store and it wouldn't. The Lady said we can deliver it but it will be $80 ummmm how much do I spend at home depot??? I'm also a cardholder and your going to charge me?!? No mam. It's easy to see why this place has 3.5 stars. When you pay for install for a new garage door motor and they take your $87 but fail to mention that install is 2 weeks out- that's a problem. Understandable due to covid- the issue is that info not being mentioned up front with the purchasing of the service- issue #1. Issue #2- John Fleming... this is the garage install person who will not return your phone call and that you will be doing his job for, you will not get his paycheck either when you have to follow up with info that you have requested from him. Needed a new dishwasher went to Home Depot as it was closest (never do that). I ordered, paid for the machine and all of the other requirements that they ask for. Was told it would be delivered in four days, then was notified that it would be another week. When I did not hear from HD about the delivery, I had to call them. Finally got the dishwasher delivered only to be told by the installer that he does not install Samsung or LG (they left the dishwasher) and that HD would be contacting me about a plumber. The dishwasher is still sitting in my dining room. It has now been three weeks since ordering the dishwasher. I did call and tried to have them take it back and refund me all of my money, that I would try another company. He (his name is Bob) said that he couldn't do it that he would have to talk to his supervisor. The employees do not know their job, as I had been told different things. PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT HOME DEPOT and the EMPLOYEES WILL GIVE YOU THE RUNAROUND. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT RENT A PENSKE TRUCK FROM HERE!!!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. My wife and I rented a Penske truck two days ago. On my drive to take the truck home I felt a lot of steering wheel shake around 45mph and up and the truck pulled very hard to the right. I checked the tires and the left front had the cords showing all the way around the inside of the tire. Penske roadside sent someone to put on 2 front tires. 1 day down no big deal. Day 2 we had loaded a few boxes the night before and after work we started to load more and and noticed a bunch of our boxes were soaked. I looked around and the plastic corner cap on the box part was cracked and there was a bullet shaped hole in the metal part. I also noticed a bunch of water in the cab area. There was even a plastic sleeve on the wall that was full of water as was the passenger floor and seat. I noticed damage to the box part that had separated the cab and box parts allowing water to leak into the cabin. Day 2 gone. Spoke with road side and they can't fix it and the best they can do is extend my rental. My summary of all this ranting is that it seems that no one at Home Depot cares about the condition of these trucks. With bald tires that could blow at any second and damage to the truck that causes damage to personal property I would strongly suggest staying away from this location. These trucks are supposed to be ready for a move. I feel sorry for those who don't know any better and have to be stopping on the road. I have to leave by tomorrow and was trying to get a head start on loading but no thanks to the wonderful staff at Home Depot I'm gonna be behind. Sense my sarcasm. Edit: The guy checking us out states there was no damage and my wife had to mention a few dings that she saw, we picked up the truck at night btw. Quick shout-out to Cindy back in Millwork. We had been at a different HD but needed someone who could re-key a new door lock we wanted to purchase. No one was available, so I called the Pflugerville store (#6808), and they told me to come on in and ask for Cindy. We chose our lock and asked for Cindy. She was there with coat and keys in hand ready to leave for the day, but she graciously stayed another 15 minutes or so to help us out. Store #6808 is lucky to have an employee like Cindy (I didn't get her last name!), and that's just one reason we'll be repeat customers. Thank you, Cindy! read more

I love this home depot, every time we go here...people that work here are so ridiculously helpful. I mean, you can't walk around a corner without someone asking if you need help. Maybe it was the time of days we went, but everything from the garden center, to the grill area, to the plumbing section. Very very helpful staff. I also looked up a smoker online to see if they had it at this store, and it was tucked away in the corner right before you enter the garden area. They have some good deals there. We broke a pipe last week and had no water, so with the helpful guy in the plumbing section...we were able to McGuyver and hand craft an addition to the pipe that works beautifully. The plants are hit or miss, but they had a few sales during the month of April and I hope they extend into next month. I got a few snap dragons for $1 a pack and 2 huge ferns for $10. Maybe this is a sign that I am getting older, but I have never been as excited and into home improvement as I am nowadays. read more

I ordered a lawn mower on the Home Depot iPhone app and they said it would be delivered to the store in 48 hours. I received an e-mail saying it was ready at the store. I went to the store the employee told me it was not at the store, that it was still in process at their warehouse and it would not be delivered until March 27th. I was not able to wait that long due to unforeseen circumstances, so I had to pay another $274 plus tax. They told me that once the item was delivered than they could cancel it? What kind of sense does that make? NONE! I asked for a supervisor and he told me they could cancel the order and then when they did it the same Employee told me they couldn't and the manager then said "Sorry, we can't" another manager came by and said "For sure we can refund it on March 27th". I called Home Depot Customer care and they were able to refund it no problem. What the hell? So corporate was able to refund it but the store couldn't? I'll just make my business somewhere else. read more

I've been in five different states and have always had bad experiences in Home Depot but this one here, everyone here is Super nice and they always ask if you need help and they share information. There is this one Man in particular that I forgot his name that he helped us in two different occasions. Very nice and helpful man. Also gave me advice on sanding furniture. All in all the experience left a bad taste, but we'll give them another chance. ------------------------------------------------ Absolutely worst customer service experience of my life. We ordered a refrigerator over a month ago and still haven't received it. The store manager never returned our calls. Even the district manager, Charles Guest, never responded to my email. We've been lied to several times now, promising that it will be delivered FIVE times now and yet it never shows up. Not a single person has called us to explain or even notify us that it isn't going to be delivered ( so I've missed work on 5 separate occasions for this now). I feel like I've made a sketchy purchase off of Craigslist and have been hounding them to give me what I've paid for but time after time I'm given the same run around and told "we'll look into it and back to you," yet literally no one ever does (and I've called and emailed dozens of times now) It's funny that even their own customer service representative told me that we should just go get our money back and go somewhere else (i.e. Best Buy or Lowes) because they clearly have screwed up and don't care. This surely reflects on poor management and honestly, I'm very disappointed with the company altogether. We've been coming to this Home Depot weekly for the past couple of years for all of our home repairs and renovations (we're renovating our entire home room by room). I ordered some Gladiator cabinets for my garage online and had them shipped to the store. They were shipped immediately by Averitt trucking but sat in their trucking depot for over a week. I had Home Depot call them three different times in an attempt to get them delivered to the store but each time they "forgot" to put them on the truck. Finally, after 18 days, they were delivered! Carlos, the MOD, volunteered to deliver them to my home to make up for the delay. That is customer service!! I have always been a Lowes customer but Home Depot in Town Center is my new home store! Let me first preface this by saying I spend a lot of money at Home Depot/Home improvement stores. This Home Depot is great for the most part. But they refuse to have cashiers to check you out. They want to push you to self checkout and have someone that is new and not trained try to manage the self checkout lanes. I was there the other night and there was at least 8 employees joking and laughing at the customer service desk while there was at least 15 customers waiting in line. When bringing it up to the customer service desk it was very clear that the employees have brought it up to management and they don't care. They also have some really great people that work at this store. But it is very clear that the top leaders are looking at saving costs by not staffing cashiers. Advice is to look into your store manager. As a leader it's very clear that this manager is causing huge morale issues with employees which then flows over into bad service. read more
