If you think you're supporting a nice local business, I would suggest you take your time and money elsewhere. The owner is disrespectful, unprofessional and clueless. He doesn't have any experience in baking, and would rather overwork and underpay his employees. In his words, he would like to run this place like a "sweatshop." He hires immigrants knowing they will bend over backwards for some work, but does nothing to support them or protect their rights. He hires women and subtly preys upon them, hoping they'll show him some "appreciation," while he yells and throw objects like a toddler. He does not provide a safe or enjoyable work environment, and has no care for the quality of product his company provides. The practices are disgusting and I would never eat the bread from this place. He gives empty promises, scorns his employees while they carry the bakery on their shoulders, fires people at the drop of a hat, and has absolutely no care for their wellbeing. Rick is unfit to be running a company. I've heard it was a nice place before he gained ownership, just sad how much one person can ruin a good thing. read more

ust meh. Tried this for the first time today. I didn't feel like home making sourdough this week and wanted to try a local place. Got the "traditional sourdough" and a snickerdoodle cookie. The sourdough tasted like white bread. Papery thin crust with a fluffy even-white interior like wonderbread. The "sour" flavor pales in comparison to a true sourdough. The weight of the bread should have been my first clue this would not be a deeply flavored and textured boule. The aroma is acetic like vinegar vs tangy and fermented and no notes of yeast. Looking at the ingredients I noticed vinegar is added which may be why the flavor and texture are bland? Tastes like commercial bread from walmart. The snickerdoodle cookie texture and flavor felt like the sugar to flour ratios were flipped and no salty or tangy finish. Wasn't greeted or talked to at all by the girl behind the counter who had in an AirPod. Won't be returning. read more

I think this is pretty pricey! A loaf of Challah Braid Bread and a 4-piece sticky buns - $16.26! $8.00 a piece??? With that said, I do enjoy an occasional dessert from there, whether it be lemon bars, cookies, pastries. Their larger store which Is opening soon will I hear will have table seating, which is nice. I look forward to winding down there. Hopefully, they can improve the pricing on their goods! read more

It is nice that there is fresh bread handy, I stopped by and got the garlic focaccia and a sourdough loaf. I personally thought that the flavors were too mild. Disclaimer - I have been known to munch on fresh garlic cloves while chopping, and I have driven to San Fransisco for the love of sourdough. To me the sourdough did not have enough bite. Either way though it was nice for sandwhiches because it was so fresh There are other items one can buy there like soups and spreads. read more

I love the sour dough bread and onion soup that you can purchase here. I do think their prices are a little high but amazing. I wished they still had the BLT on the menu. It was so nice getting a BLT in the summer. read more

Recently purchased two different loaves of bread that were stored on the south shelf of the 81st Street store. Both loaves were stale and hard. I was told late to place in my fridge to allow to gain moisture (??). I did this and there was no change. I simply don't care about returning to the store to deal with this, but I do feel if the store reads this review they might consider taking this inventory out of inventory. Ripped by for the open house and got to sample some delicious treats. Cher's and chive spread is addictive! You must have it for any parties. Took home crostini and focaccia bread. I was excited to try the breakfast since I enjoy the breads. The coffee was ok. The creamer was coffee mate. My husband got a vanilla latte. It was bitter and it didn't taste at all like vanilla. We waited 20 minutes for them to reheat a sausage roll and a slice of quiche. The roll was chewy and too hot in the center. The quiche was mostly olive tapenade on a crust. I would give it one start but they just opened... didn't have their coffee setup so we couldn't try that. Tried their cranberry orange muffin and pumpkin cream cheese muffin. Severely underwhelming. Not only was my cream cheese muffin half the size of the other one- it was very dry. It's hard to make a pumpkin muffin dry. My husband and I described them as something we would get at a hotel- dry, lacks flavor and nothing impressive. Not only that- they were $3 each! We purchased two loaves of bread, a Wholly Granola and a Kalamata Foccacia on Saturday, 4/9/22. We were told that they were made fresh that day, but we were so disappointed as they were both extremely hard and dry and not fresh. We've been coming here for a few years and have always enjoyed their baked goods. Since it was sold to a new owner there have been a few changes like they have opened up the store where it's more like a market. They have some new types of bread and some modifications of standards like the cinnamon roles to make them smaller rather than the pop art sized cinnamon roll. They now sell soda pop (16.9 oz. Best homemade breads and baked goods in town. Their products have a freshness to them. Tried the raisin bread 1st and had to go back for more. Their cinnamon sticky cinnamon rolls are better than the ones at the State Fair. The honey Challah rolls are are must for dinner and the fruit bread is wonderful. Ive been a fan of Farrell bread for a couple of years. Saw them first at the farmers market. Tried the new store/cafe yesterday. Lovely little place. Pros: husband had an early morning tee time so we grabbed breakfast at a place close to our home. Next door to the breakfast place was this delicious bread store. Hubby and I were drawn in by the wonderful smells. Not sure what we expected, but this place wasn't it. Maybe I expected something along the lines of a fancy cake bakery, artisan cookie store, or like a Panera Bread. This place was small and completely unassuming. After my mind adjusted to the small space, I began to see delicious rows of prepacked breads to my left, glass cases with freshly made hummus and butter to my right, local honey, in front of me was a wall of fresh baked loaves. I didn't know what to get! I went into my default mode of buying a little of everything. My husband was all for this as he really believes in supporting small, local businesses. While he was out playing golf, I ate my goodies for lunch. Everything was amazing. I got the chocolate chip cookie, which was crispy on the the ouside and moist, cakey on the inside. Buttery short bread cookie. Sprouted grain wheat loaf (made from local Oklahoma ingredients) so much better than my Ezekiel bread. Sea salt butter. Have I mentioned the service? I would love to give a better rating, but last several things have been stale! I mean, a cinnamon roll should not need a steak knife to cut it! I did return it & got a fresher one. Then one loaf of bread molded after only 2 days. And then the baguette was HARD. I know it's supposed to be crusty on the outside but this was so hard, I pitched the ends. I am wondering if these are new owners. It didn't used to be this way. Darn it! Luckily hubby makes great bread but sometimes this was handy when we were out. Pros: bread made the right way. Rustic loaves are perfect, crusty out sides, well developed cell structure on the inside. Their customer service is always on point, even when they are busy. The cookies are also brilliant, especially the pecan chocolate chip. Cons: there is only one FFB. read more

Oklahoma's only artisan bakery. This is the place to go to get fresh bread made with organic ingredients and never any preservatives. The asiago sourdough and rosemary foccacia are to die for. For breakfast toast don't miss the three fruit levain with nuts or cherry pecan. My favorites lately are the Oklahoma sprouted wheat and Tex-Mex. The cheddar chive biscuits are a treat as are the chocolate oatmeal cherry cookies. Definitely worth checking out this Tulsa treasure. read more

Ok, so not everything is as bad as a 1 star rating...this is a frustration/PO'd review. For the 3rd time in a row, I bought bread that under examination at home is stale as F. And I bought an Italian loaf there a few weeks ago that just tasted BAD. So now I'm eating my sandwich on Sara Lee sand bread instead of freash baked chiabatta. Theyre in my neighborhood, so it makes this especially sad. Shame on you Ferrell Fam for sending a customer out the door with bad, stale bread. 1star. read more

2 out of 3 loaves that I have bought @ the OSU farmers market in OKC have been moldy: I feel like they shouldn't sell moldy bread!

This is an amazing bakery. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with the smell of fresh baked bread. They have racks of bagged bread that you can grab, but there is also a wider variety behind the counter to choose from. We got several kinds... one of my favorites so far was a croissant filled with dark chocolate. And when I say filled, I don't mean there was a little bit in the middle. I mean, dark chocolate dotted the whole pastry, but it was almost two inches thick in the center. What makes this shop amazing isn't just the variety and the quality. Its seeing the people in the shop busy at work, baking constantly. Even the cashier had true pride in being part of the business and that's truly hard to find in a lot of places. I purchased a loaf of bread for $7.95. I had always purchased bread when the Farrell Family owned it and since the current owners kept the Farrell name, I felt they would maintain the same quality bread and friendly customer service. After 3 days, the bread had green spots -MOLD. I return the bread to the store explain the mold, show my receipt and ask for a refund. I was offered another loaf off the shelf which I refused because it was unwrapped , and he had no idea how long it had been on the shelf. I was refused a cash refund and instead given a receipt for another loaf of bread. I explained that I did not want any more of their bread just my money. He refused. So do NOT buy bread from Farrell Family Organic Bread. I will never go there again. read more

I couldn't be happier that I live so close to one of the best bakeries I have ever been to. I've had one thing here I wasn't exactly ecstatic about. Everything else blew my mind. The garlic focaccia is tied with the Asiago sourdough for my favorite loaf. These are so good with just butter, I ate the whole loaf in three days. The butter run cookies are wonderful! And the pecan cinnamon rolls are amazing!!i tried the cheese and chive rolls, but they weren't the best. Everything else-perfect. This is a very tiny store. Everyone is always working very hard in the kitchen cooking. I absolutely love the smell of the place though! Some f the loaves are rather large for me so they double bag half the loaf and I stick it in the freezer, the other half stays in the fridge for a week (if it lasts that long). I definitely wouldn't pass up the cookies. I really like the chocolate pecan as well. Make sure to start a card for every loaf you but, you get a signature and your tenth is free! You really can't go wrong here. It's all amazing. read more
