I live in Jenks, and I'll happily drive 20 minutes for this coffee. That's about the highest compliment I can give a coffee shop. Their coffee is exactly how I like it--bold, smooth, creamy, and never overly bitter. My go-to is the Dirty Chai, hot or iced depending on my mood, and their cappuccinos are just as good. My son is all about the Polar Bear, and neither of us has ever been disappointed. The pastries and desserts are dangerous in the best way. The no-bake cookies are ridiculously good, and if they're running the buy two, get one free deal... good luck walking away with just one. One of my favorite things about this place is the atmosphere. There are plenty of seating options, people from all walks of life, and it's just a great place to slow down for a bit. I also love watching the baristas--they're fast, friendly, and somehow keep cranking out incredible drinks without missing a beat. They recently updated their menu, and I can't wait to go back and try the Southwest Bowl for breakfast. They also opened another business that's connected to the coffee shop on Cherry Street, which is fun to walk through while you're waiting for your drink. The Chai Latte with a generous amount of cinnamon on top is a perfect blend and mildly sweet. The Farmers breakfast can be a burrito or bowl with a choice of bacon. Sausage, or chorizo. With it being Resurrection Sunday, they had a rush prior to my arrival so I had to request the table outside on the patio to be wiped off. Within a minute it was address. So I go in and order a pig in a blanket basically. It looks delicious. The girl takes my order. I wait 6 1/2 minutes she calls my name. I take the to go bag. I immediately pulled it out because I'm starving, and it's cold, like it had just been pulled out of the case.. I went back in and I asked if she would please heat it up. She snatched it away pretty rudely as if it was my fault I guess, and literally threw it in a microwave set on like 30 seconds. I don't know if you've ever stuck a hotdog in a microwave, but it takes about 10 seconds to get scalding hot, also the bun gets chewy and weird. I was sorta hoping they would have a better way to heat products. It was relatively tasty for six dollars, but it kind of turned me off to the place for sure. 10/10 would make this a regular social workspace if I were a townie. Parking is easy to find and there's ample indoor/outdoor seating to spend time with friends or post up and make some real deal work happen. I like a classic cappuccino (dark roast, light sugar) with pastries and the baking case is FULL of exceptional options. I devoured a thick, rich cheesecake topped with a dollop of freshly made light-as-air whip cream. You can grab a slice then check out behind the scenes in the kitchen while you shop next door. This little coffee shop is a Tulsa Treasure. We have had sugar cravings as Fall kicks in and discovered this shop while exploring for desserts. The second you walk in, the scents and aromas let you know this is more than a Coffee Shop. The warm scent of fresh baked goods is in the air. The dessert case is filled with pies, cakes, cookies and... Duffins? Yes, that isn't misspelled and it made us ask, what is a Duffin? Come to find out, it's a Donut shaped like a muffin, topped with fresh cream and a few Berries. The girls behind the counter never stop moving and there is staff behind the curtain you never see. "Do you want your Duffin warmed? I love it that way, the cream kind of melts down a bit." So, we shared a piece of pie and a warmed Duffin. I still love this local coffee house but it was a bit understaffed or overworked when we were there last. After pigging out at Lofi, we needed to walk the length of Cherry Street. We made CHOC our destination. It is always a busy place on Saturday night but it just seemed like something was off with the staff. I was so excited to try this coffee spot. I had high exceptions based on reviews and how cute the outside looks. Unfortunately, I left VERY disappointed. The inside and outside seating areas were way too crowded for me to feel relaxed so I ordered to go. I was charged a to go fee which I thought was very strange. On a beautiful pre-spring day (March 27th, 2025), I was searching for small bite spots near midtown. I eventually landed on this, Coffee House On Cherry Street, because why not? Cherry Street is has a ton of restaurants tightly packed together. CHoCS was no different. I entered around 10am and, as a coffee shop, it was still some foot traffic inside. There was a small line and every table was attended to. When you walk in, there's a giant chalkboard menu and a glass display of all types of pastries. The staff-person at the register, a guy, was very friendly as I sat and waited for a friend to arrive. The design is very mixed, there's a staged antique furniture corner, modern decorations and a variety of seating but an overall chill vibe as expected with any coffee shop. When my friend did arrive, I ordered a slice of carrot cake and the "Green Hornet," a matcha beverage. We sat outside to wait since every table was attended to. As a barista myself, people underestimate much goes into each coffee/barista-made drink. That considered, it came out pretty quickly. The Carrot cake was splendid, the icing wasn't overwhelming, the cake was soft, delicate and had good texture. The matcha was warm, thick and had subtle hints of lavender. Did the job! I love this place. The easiest five stars I've ever given in a review. This is a very unique independent coffee shop. The coffee is great. The pastries are great. You can get sandwiches too if you'd like. And the atmosphere is great. Relaxing and very tastefully designed. Now what really makes it special is the expansion they are doing. They're expanding into the space next door. Adding a new bigger kitchen. AND they now sell all kinds of really nice items to make your kitchen special. None of these are mass produced items. They are made by local artisans. Tea pots. Cups. Vases. Very special handmade gift cards and gift tags. The kind you would keep as a keepsake. Awesome coffee mugs. Just really nice stuff. Today we ended up buying two of our Christmas gifts there along with some very unique Christmas cards. The service throughout the entire process was great. This place is meh. There are some seating outside in addition to inside. The inside is small, and kind of reminds me of a New York coffee shop size-wise. We ordered a cafe-au-ait to go and to our surprise, we paid a fee to get it to go...what? The coffee itself tasted like some kind of tea/coffee combo. It was weird, also it smelled a bit like dirt. Maybe it was a fluke, but it was not good. Prices were slightly on the higher end for mediocre coffee. I didn't try the pastries and pies. However, they did look good. food - chocs, as the coffee house is abridgedly called, offers a variety of food items as displayed at the counter, though i'd just got a drink during my recent experience. specifically, i ordered a house specialty drink called the honey badger, which includes various spices, whole milk, and the titular ingredient of honey, but thankfully no badger. the drink has a good taste, especially for anyone who enjoys creamy, frothed drinks. i've had the house drip coffee here before too, but decided to go with a specialty drink since the drip coffee is better for long stay in which you can get discounted refills. service - the lady working the counter who took my order was nice and friendly, though i did ask for the bev to drink at the restaurant and got it in a to-go cup, but am not sure if that is how the specialty drinks standardly come. also, although my order was assigned to a name other than mine, it was at least not spelled out on the cup with the incorrect info there for me to see throughout my drinking experience, such as it might be at other unspecified coffee shops. and the guy who was calling out names of the orders did look at me when calling out the name to which my order got assigned, so i'm grateful for his help in resolving the confusion. ambiance - the coffee house was rather busy during early sunday evening when i came, not so much as to fill all seating, but enough that the time might not be ideal for working or meeting in a group. nonetheless, the decor aspects of the ambiance at chocs is one of the premier features of the restaurant, with local art on rotation and occasionally for sale, and a doorframe from some previous architectural rendition stands near the west entrance among paint footprints, adding to the artistic appeal of chocs. so, while i did not have a great dining experience on my visit, i'd still recommend the restaurant for the vibes alone. read more

I want to thank CHOCS for making delicious gluten-free desserts and other food. We stop by pretty regular (probably too much) and I have never had a reaction. Low down on my favs: Chocoholic Cake with the white and chocolate icing...OH MY GOODNESS, I cannot explain how delicious this cake is. It calls to me in my dreams. I limit myself and don't get it often because when I do, I JUST WANT MORE! Strawberry or Lemon Duffin - They are a mix between a donut and a muffin. We ordered 30 of these one year for our anniversary and now our whole family is hooked on them. Coconut Macaroons- the absolute biggest and best I have ever had. I give them to my family for gifts at times and now they are also hooked on those. Iced Sugar Cookies- I am not a big icing fan, but they are very good. I have been able to order them a few times without icing when they were hot out of the oven. So delightful. Pumpkin Pie - they have the best pumpkin pie that I have ever had. (usually). Sometimes it seems like two different people make the pies and one may be 'off' a little - just not as full of flavor. My brand new favorite...drum roll please...The Lavender Lemon Cake. We ordered this for a party and there was nothing left of it to take home! Everyone agreed it was DIVINE - no exaggeration. It had lemon curd and sugared lemons on top with a super light lavender flavored icing. (I never thought that I would like that - but I did!) An extremely tasty surprise. I hope to order more in the future. (i'm not sure if they will be seasonal.). I know that's a lot and I'm not even able to taste all of the deliciousness due to a nut/peanut allergy. I hate to say it, but I feel like CHOCS is slightly overhyped. Don't get me wrong, the space is cool, the drinks are pretty good, and the staff is mostly really friendly. My issue is that I feel like because of it's location and hype, it gets away with overcharging. Most recently I got an espresso drink with almond milk, buy 2 get one cookies and a muffin and it was about $22. The cookies need to be BTGO free at nearly $5/piece. The cookies are so-so. I really enjoy their gingerbread cookies, but other cookies often feel like they are probably day-old or so. The chocolate espresso banana muffin had great flavor, and was somehow moist yet crumbly. I think the banana made parts of it moist, but it was strangely crumbly. The drink was tasty. I got a hot almond milk honey badger. I needed a place to do some remote work and decided to try this local staple out for the first time. I normally go to Summer Moon but I really wanted somewhere with food. The staff is super great. They greeted everyone who walked in. It was a great vibe. I ordered The Scrambler with chorizo and a hot peppermint mocha. This place was pretty packed Sunday morning. Luckily I was able to find a spot. I wasn't able to find the WiFi password anywhere and my hotspot wasn't working. I had to ask the worker for the WiFi password and she told me they don't offer WiFi until 1pm.. it was 11:40am. This definitely put a hinder on my plan of working remote. I ended up having them make my food to-go. The food was okay but a bit overpriced in my opinion. My coffee didn't taste like peppermint but I didn't mind the taste of it as it did taste good. If you are a fan of pastries, then you have found a yummy place. The drip coffee here is very good, and if you were staying, then you can refill for free and they're cool to just let you do that yourself or happy to help if you need them to do it. The iced coffee/cold brew is not a strong offering, but the drip coffee is very good. Seating space is competitive, and it's a problem we have locally at most of our good coffee shops. It's hard to downgrade them about that because you will have the same problem at the other good coffee places. The place is legit good, but it's also super-walkable for the entire neighborhood and is kind of a classic place that everyone who lives nearby hangs out at. I have been lucky enough to travel the world and have Rando coffees in Hawaii, or from Kenya, or Sumatra, but this place does a great job of having solid coffee and excellent breakfast offerings. If you're looking for a little more than a muffin, they can still do eggs and have multiple options. read more

As a Celiac, I am so happy that there is a place with gluten free desserts that actually taste good. I was diagnosed a few years ago and remember what regular foods taste like. Places that advertise themselves as gluten free bakeries, which this place does not, tend to be disgusting, as the consistency is off on the items. Split a slice of caramel machiatto cheesecake with one of my sisters and she got a coffee drink. It was great. Loved the cosy ambiance and the wood burning outdoor fireplace on the patio. You can eat indoors or out, but the outdoor seating seems to be more plentiful than indoors. Service was quick and they were kind. Will be back the next time I have to be in Tulsa. They also have outdoor seating in the front with a brick fire place to keep warm in the winter, very cozy and comfortable, exactly what you'd like of when you think of a cafe.
