Rainy cold day, no riding to be done so packed it in and headed to "The Nations Oldest Harley Davidson Dealer!" That's right! Smack dab in the middle of Ohio. Youd think that this honor would be on a place closer to MKE, but nope. Right there where they know how to rollem up lay down the hard days work and save a penny for a rainy day. Take tenacity to be the guys doing that selling of Americas best known bike, heck making it through the 60's and 70s is double stuff enough. Made my way to the motowear dept. Heck they had my size. Mama made a big boy. At 6'6" I was pleased as punch to find a killer long sleeve I could wear with a fancy HD back rocker. Counter girl even helped me pick out an AD Farrow shop shirt. So people know I was there. Got talking to a fella named Tom , decent guy, knew his stuff. Love talking with guys that actually have something to say, seems most people these days are blowing filler up your rear. I recently bought a 2017 Tri Glide from Northstar HD in Sunbury. At 42,500 with taxes and fees its not a trivial investment, for me anyway. After a test ride, I asked about the fact that the non adjustable clutch lever does not engage until it is almost fully extended the salesman I bought the bike from said no biggie, just get an adjustable clutch lever, which I did from Oberon. Doesn't take long to realize that the Milwaukee 8 engine on that trike runs very hot. My previous bike was the 2053 CC Vulcan and it didn't generate nearly as much heat as this blast furnace. Harley used to make a 'parade fan' but they did not work well at all and they stopped making them about 3 years ago after too many complaints. HD Forums told me about the Love Jugs, an apparently super efficient cooling system for Harley V Twins. After checking things out I ordered a Coolmaster unit at $400. Now this particular dealer is telling me that they will not install ANY after market part that is not HD. I took the case to a manager who took it higher and I was turned down.They claimed liability issues. How is it a liability issue when its the buyer who has to prove that an after market part did not cause an issue? Also it was their salesman who recommended I buy an adjustable clutch lever. And if HD made an engine fan that worked I would not have had to go to an outside vendor. Instead they tried to unload one of their crappy fans on me that they stopped making 3 years ago because they did not work and has been sitting on their shelves.The reviews on the CoolMaster in the HD forums are outstanding! And if their hydraulic clutch did not have a lever that did not engage until almost fully extended there would be no need to get one that was adjustable. I understand as a private business they have the right to refuse service but the vendor tells me he's NEVER heard of a Harley dealer refusing to install his product. So its clear that these guys, only fake concern for you until you buy the bike. Then they could not care less.Its cover their butts and screw the customer. Avoid like the plague. read more

Sales team was very professional. Enjoyed the experience and the GM was engaged throughout the purchasing process. They were more than flexible to discuss all my needs as a first time HD owner. I purchased 2 bikes and they were very supportive through the process. The business manager "Pokey" was great to deal with and was very knowledgeable of the purchase as well as recommendations for future purchases. This is an OK motorcycle deslership. I bought a bike up here a few years ago but since I have found a couple other dealerships that I like better to buy bikes from both not in Ohio. I had an engine build done here a couple years ago and the tech that did it did a good job. I had issues with the lights after the build that had to be corrected three times but they got it done. As far as getting service done they were shorthanded back then ,and I see that they still are. My opinion there's too many managers managing to few people. In other words too many chiefs and not enough Indians. The motor clothes department is decent and Stella the woman who runs it does a great job. I don't know how it's going to work out now since it's under new management with Rick Ricart. I don't care for the Ricarts at all. So that will keep me from buying a bike there again for sure. But I will buy Harley clothes up there only because of Stella. I have found somebody else to do all the service on my Harley's who does a superior job. So I won't be up there for service on any of my bikes ever again , just due to the shitty service and slowness in them being understaffed. And to answer the other review the guy that I had to wait for hours for a tire change, 90 minutes is tops and I would've taken my bike elsewhere. My time is valuable not to be pissed away playing a waiting game. That is why I don't have service done on my motorcycles there any longer. When you tell somebody your services at 11 and they don't take care of you for4 hours later screw that shit. I hope A D Farrow makes it with that clown Ricart in there now. I stopped into their service department on a Wednesday to make an appointment for an oil change. It was set for Tuesday the following week at 12:30. I arrived at 12:00 and told the person behind the service desk I was early for my appointment. He told me that was good because the tech that was to work on my bike had an accident. Not to worry though, he said he would just switch me over to another tech. After going to eat lunch I came back 2 hours later to find that my bike had not been touched. The different person behind the desk told me that my bike was scheduled for Wednesday at 12:30 not Tuesday. I know this is not correct because I had written it down while I was at the service desk the week before and I also had it in my calendar on my phone. He proceeded to tell me that since he made the appointment the week before he knew I was wrong. I have no idea what caused this problem. However the way their service department handled it is the most unprofessional I have seen in a long time. For this reason I will not use any of their three locations in the future. There are to many dealers around that I am sure treat their customers much better then AD Farrow does. read more

Bought my first motorcycle from A.D Farrow on 6/25. I bought a 2016 Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight. Mark helped me and was very honest and cared not only about the sale, but making sure I understood how to ride the bike safely. The whole team was great, I was showed the apparel and accessories, but was not pressured into buying anything I was not interested in. The parts department was great at going though and showing me how to understand the Catalog and how to see if parts would fit my bike. The service department clearly explained the service intervals and what would be done. Finance office was as good as the others, I was shown options for service plans, GAP insurance, and other offerings. Once again I did not feel pressured into buying anything more than I felt I needed or wanted. I will buy my next bike from here in the future. I truly appreciate the team at A.D Farrow and look forward to my New Rider Course this month. read more
