The cemetery was named in 1895, but has been operating before that time. Maintained by the city of Nashua, the cemetery is open to all faiths with perpetual lawn care plus annual garden plantings. A mausoleum is on site. Our graveside services were delayed as some of the guests did not arrive at the appointed time. The staff, standing by to complete the burial, were extremely patient with our group and allowed us time to gather after the graveside services without a word even though we were definitely holding them up! The grounds are quite lovely with many mature trees and some families have left personal mementos grave side including balloons, toys and flags.

They have different casket samples and urns on display in their office for people to look out. But the part that made going to this service so much easier for us...they have a children's room. There are toys, books and even a table for them to sit at if they want a snack. I have never seen a funeral home with a designated play area for children.

Depending on how you look at it, it's taken me either 2 or 4 years to write my review. My father…read morepassed in February 2020, my mother in May 2022 and Phaneuf handled the arrangements; both were veterans. It was a very difficult time and the staff at Phaneuf were kind, courteous and compassionate. We primarily worked with Aaron and Mark and I can't speak highly enough of them. Again, the compassion they showed to me and my family throughout was more than I imagined. And exceedingly genuine. Their communication was exceptional, guiding us through the process with care.
