All I can say is there is one word that tells all about this jeweler and that word is quality. Over a week ago I received apologies but it is still happening. It only takes a few minutes to reply - saying you are busy is not an acceptable excuse. Additionally, one item was not completely repaired the first time. Frustrating. It's disappointing to read good reviews and have this kind of experience. Just don't go here. Had a sole replacement on high quality leather boots that were ruined by this…read morecobbler. The replacement sole was stiff as a board and much thicker than the original leather sole and didn't suit the style of the boots. What's worse is that the toe and heel of the boots now turned up and the only part of the sole that rested on a flat surface was the arch. The boots were unwearable. I accepted the demise of my boots and threw them out. There was no way he would have the experience to fix this mess. I swore never to go there again, but no I made the error of taking a very simple shoe buckle replacement there. It took four trips to the shop until the buckle was replaced that included spilled black paint on the tan shoes and a botched paint job covering the spill that didn't match the tan shoes. I kept thinking is this a joke? How does this guy stay in business but no all I see are glowing reviews. It just doesn't ad up.

The first was knee deep in conversation, as he answered all his questions, next was a pickup of something he'd finished, and one was a spontaneous "Can you fix this, I was right in the middle of ...", which he fixed in about 5 minutes with a part salvaged from another he kept for salvage purpose. Then there was me at the end of the line, it was 5 minutes past closing, with a mower someone else had deemed in need of major overhaul advising I buy a new one. In under 2 minutes, he'd tightened a cable, and the machine was running good as new. As someone else put it, "he saved me hundreds of dollars", and more importantly to me, hours upon hours of shopping for replacement, for no good reason.

The exact same spot broke the very next day. We called and were told, "No problem--bring it back in." But when I returned, the owner--without even examining it up close--claimed it was a "different area" and demanded another $35. He was rude, condescending, and completely dismissive. Given the number of similar negative reviews, this clearly isn't an isolated incident. When the owner inevitably responds with excuses or denials, please be assured: this is EXACTLY what happened. (Note: We brought it to another jeweler in the same plaza who fixed it properly--for just $15.)
