Just don't go here. Had a sole replacement on high quality leather boots that were ruined by this cobbler. The replacement sole was stiff as a board and much thicker than the original leather sole and didn't suit the style of the boots. What's worse is that the toe and heel of the boots now turned up and the only part of the sole that rested on a flat surface was the arch. The boots were unwearable. I accepted the demise of my boots and threw them out. There was no way he would have the experience to fix this mess. I swore never to go there again, but no I made the error of taking a very simple shoe buckle replacement there. It took four trips to the shop until the buckle was replaced that included spilled black paint on the tan shoes and a botched paint job covering the spill that didn't match the tan shoes. I kept thinking is this a joke? How does this guy stay in business but no all I see are glowing reviews. It just doesn't ad up. read more

The owner takes pride in his work and is very honest. The first time I brought shoes he told me it was a waste of money to fix them and explained why. The second time I brought something he explained he has a $10 minimum and it was not a $10 repair but I gladly paid it anyway since the shoes were ruined without them. The third time I went he resoled my Birkenstocks as well as repaired the cork and built up the heel for a fraction of what it would cost to send them to another service. He's excellent. In a word: Outstanding! The idea of a cobbler seems somehow 19th Century, but there's still a real need for a skilled craftsperson to repair or restore expensive footwear. I have a set of Dan Post boots that span decades, and one pair of the older lizard skin boots were starting to show their age. The heel was warn past the rubber and into the wood, and the soles were starting to split. I brought them to Nashua Shoe Repair to see what they could do. A week later, I now have boots that are BETTER THAN NEW. The quality of the sole and heel, and the owner's ability to restore the finish of the black lizard skin is nothing short of amazing. The results were well worth the trip and the reasonable price. I now plan to bring all of my Dan Post boots to Nashua Shoe Repair, one pair at a time, for refinishing. read more

Mrs. S. handed me a pair of high-heeled shoes she really likes. The rubber tips of the heels were both gone, making them unwearable. The house in which I grew up was about a block from a Cobbler's place of business, but frankly, I've been replacing rather than repairing shoes for most of my adult life. So. . . I turned to Yelp and decided to go with Nashua Shoe Repair. It's downtown, so take a quarter or two with you to feed the meter. I entered the shop and was greeted by Saad, the owner. He's friendly and has a great smile. He also likes to joke around, something I really appreciate! He took the shoes and told me to come back the next day at the same time.. I went back today and the shoes were ready and waiting. Not only did he repair the heels, he polished both shoes and touched up a couple of areas that had minor scuffs. I have a new satchel-type bag and the shoulder strap was too long. I took it to Nashua Shoe Repair to get a few more holes punched in the strap but Saad showed me that the strap on that side would be way too long and suggested he take it up from the other side. Before I knew it, he had the work done and but in two rivets that matched the hardware already on the bag. The final product is the perfect length and he put some extra holes so I can still adjust it longer or shorter. Great service and only $10!!!!! read more

My boyfriend had been searching high and low for a winter mitten that would fit over a brace he wears on his left arm but couldn't find one big enough. Finally he decided to seek out someone who could add a custom zipper to a mitten and ended up at Nashua Shoe Repair. He could not be happier with how it came out. The work was done quickly and was impeccable. He was so pleased that he went back when he needed to add a similar zipper to the sleeve of his snowmobiling jacket so that he could get it over the brace and mitten easier. Nashua Shoe repair is great! Last year I had a pair of sandals that kept ripping the stitches on the toe hold. I had taken them to 2 other places and the stitches pulled out in a very short time. Saad figured out the problem. He totally cleaned the sand out from under the top piece of the leather sole. When I got them back they were like brand new! Lightning fast turnaround around time! Musa, shoe cobbler / owner, was quite pleasant and stayed open during snow squalls that left Nashua in declared 'state of emergency.'
