My most recent treatment has been a refill on my 2 front teeth because my previous filling was darkening and made me very self conscious of my smile. She always had positive things to say about him and his work was always admired by her. There's a reason our family has gone to Dr Farzad for over 20 and we haven't thought of going to anyone else. My youngest has been going to him since he was about 4 years old so he's definitely good with kids. He can be as professional as you need him to be and he's also been known to crack a few jokes to make you comfortable as possible. I've never been the best patient. I admit I can be a bit difficult and a little "extra" at times but he's had so much patience with me through the years and I am so grateful for it. He never does things half ass, treats you like family and has the best bedside manner. We are thankful for his care and have a nice smile to prove it. Dr. Farzad has an aggressive approach to dental care, which has its good points and questionable points. Initially, I could not complain about the care I received, but the issues I experienced with his replacing a gold crown was the worst treatment I received from a dentist, and it just seemed wrong that he never asked if I wanted the gold back after removing the crown. He told me one visit would last two hours, and I was in the chair for three hours and 20 minutes. The next visit was estimated at 40 minutes, and I was there one hour and 20 minutes. The crown was too big, and it required him to saw, hammer, and drill to make it fit. It caused considerate discomfort, and an additional filling somehow caused me to start biting my cheek. Two follow-up visits didn't solve the problem. Consequently, I no longer go to this practice. read more

After my general dentist retired for health reasons, his office referred his patients to this dentist. My dental needs were moderate (a crown or two, one root canal) however my daughter had neglected her teeth requiring extractions, root canals, crowns, replacement fillings etc.) This dentist presented a treatment plan in excess of $40K for her and a plan of over $16K for me. This was grossly overpriced and was over-treatment, i.e. an "oversell". Being ripped off is despicable and I refuse to be gouged. Fortunately I found Roman Kniter DDS at EncinoSmile.com and he is WONDREFUL! He not only met all of my treatment needs for both my daughter and me, but did so at less than 40% of the cost of treatment proposed by Dr. Farhad. read more
