My kids love coming to the dentist. My 4 year old loves the robot that is in the waiting room . They are very professional

Dr. K did all my daughters filling left with decay. We had to go to another dentist to get it fixed because they kept Ignoring my daughters pain. They were very adamant about going under anesthesia for fillings. When it wasn't necessary! She sat there threw the whole thing and still he left decay and for two weeks not listening to my daughters complaining about pain from the decay he left. I have been taking my children to Dr. Kirshbaum's office since 2003. He and his hygienist and Dr. Yuen the orthodontist really take care of them. He also has a dentist who specializes in adult care. Very convenient. I like and trust Dr. Kirshbaum because he is honest and really cares about his patients. read more

Dr Gerald repaired some damaged a previous doctor has done on my child, he was very knowledgeable, after previous doctor had already charge the insurance we had to pay cash for his procedure, its wasn't cheap since procedure was done under general anesthesia but my child was pain free and we were happy with it. We went back several times for cleanings/followup but we stopped because Dr Gerald has not patience with children, they always charge the deductible upfront before doing any work and I never had any problem with it, yet hygienist/staff continued to make comments to Dr Gerald while my kid was on the chair and Im standing next to them, asking him to make sure we have already paid and yes same rude attitude was directed towards my child too. read more

Here comes a long review!!! I suggest reading it, because good dentists and honest doctors are hard to find. I love this place. First off this office does both pediatric and adult exams. So the waiting room has a PAC-MAN machine and Aquarium in it. I jumped right on the Pac-Man machine and played my heart out. It really helped calm my nerves and gave me a sweet burst of nostalgia. So... back to my reason for going to the dentist. I had a tooth that was making me quite sick with infection and pain. I held onto this tooth for almost two years straight. I went to 3!!!! Yes, 3!!!! Dentists before coming here. They were all dentists assigned to me through medi-cal/denti-cal... I had three different opinions and 3 very different treatment suggestions. Not only was I told I needed procedures with deep cleanings, but I was told I could not receive a basic cleaning without paying hundreds of dollars. It was emotionally taxing . So... fast forward to my experience in this office. Mr. Kirshbaum came highly recommended and I was familiar with the office from years back, when I was a teen. Everybody here is so gentle, and so kind. The office is clean, professional and most importantly HONEST... it's so hard to find HONEST dentists these days. I received prompt advice to go have a root canal specialist examine my tooth. Something no other dentist even suggested. Dr. Kirshbaum's office recommended the best specialist WHO was ABLE TO SAVE MY TOOTH!!!! I was patched up within 72 hours of this consult. My heart was and is so happy I got to keep my tooth!!! And let me tell you this was a very complicated tooth with an incredibly infected root. This is a molar and the location was incredibly close to my lymph nodes. Just not something anybody wants to mess with. I had my root canal last week by their wonderful referral and I'm now pain free. Dr. May works on adult patients here and she was able to clean my teeth beautifully before I had my root canal. I really cannot stress how badly I needed this. She was fast, gentle and so calm. I'm generally an already nervous gal and she was so gentle that I almost fell asleep. My teeth look terrific. Sadly, I just did not take care of my teeth for about ten years until now. I'll be coming here again for a few more procedures to get my mouth in tip top shape (including the crown) I cannot recommend this place enough. You will get the best treatment and advice here. If you end up needing a specialist for anything or if your kids need a specialist for any reason. I can assure you... you're in the best hands. Everybody working here has terrific bedside manner and everybody helped put my nervous mind at ease. I feel like I won the lottery in terms of dentists. read more

I took my son to see Dr kirshblum because he chipped his front tooth and lost the real tooth that he chipped. I thought my son would never have his beautiful front teeth again and dr kirshblum performed a miracle he was able to bond the front tooth and you cannot tell the difference I would definitely recommend him read more

Dr. Kirschbaum is really great with kids. He makes little jokes and make some really comfortable, even while my nine-year-old was getting cavities. He has a little toy chest for them to take a price when they leave. Very good experience! read more

I have been bringing my kids to Dr Kirshbaum for years but never really had much contact with him as he doesn't perform their cleanings but I noticed he wasn't the "warm and fuzzy" type, which is odd for a pediatric dentist. When I was in the other day, the doctor recommended pulling two remaining baby teeth from my 12 year old, autistic son. I said I would ask and see how my son reacted. As with many autistic children, my son is more comfortable with regiment and planning. I honestly didn't think he'd be comfortable just springing it on him but I was willing to try. My son became agitated immediately and as I attempted to talk him thorough it, the doctor told me that I "shouldn't speak to him" because it was "making his job harder." I rolled my eyes and attempted to let the procedure happen but I could see my son was getting upset. I again tried to talk him through it but the doctor basically told me that if I continued to speak, I would have to find a new dentist. This doctor has zero bedside manner and was rude to both my child and myself. He needs serious sensitivity training. I brought my son to the orthodontist two days later who told the procedure wasn't necessary for months, if at all. The staff is nice, the doctor is awful. We will not be going back. read more

We've been bringing our sons in for a few years. On our last visit, Dr. Kirschbaum caused my son pain, which made him cry out. The doctor roughly held my son's head still, and then when he started crying, called him a baby and told him to quit crying. After a few minutes, the doctor apologized and said he shouldn't have called him a baby. To which I would add, "No, under no circumstances should a caregiver ever, ever do that." read more

I have been taking my daughters here for years .Dr Kishbaum is very experienced and has pulled multiple teeth for my daughter, She unfortunately has a problem where her adult teeth were coming out over the side of her baby teeth. She was not traumatized at all. My other daughter had an underbite and he was able to do a retainer and correct problem when she was approx. 7 or 8 saving her from many problems down the line. While not a completely warm and fuzzy kind of guy, neither myself or my children have any problem with his chair side manner We all like him.Office is very child friendly with T.V showing movies and fish ,pac man game and a treasure chest with treats for after the visit .Everyone who works here from office manager to hygienist are very nice and helpful. We would highly recommend Dr Kirshbaum. read more

I been taking my daughter Sarah to Dr. KIrshbaum for 7 years the first time I took her was for IV sedation I was very nervous to have my daughter put down But Dr. Kirshbaum made me feel comfortable explaining to me detail by detail and by showing me videos of the procedures and introducing me to the anesthesiologist we were very satisfy With the results and ever since then I been taking her with him he has taken care of her teeth and we couldn't be happier i will recommend him Dr. kirshbaum he is profesional pediatric dentist works well with kids my daughter is not scare of getting dental work thanks to him and his crew. I will also recommend IV sedation if your advice to get it you should there's absolutely no truma in your kids memory and is painless. read more

I've been taking my son to this Dentist for a couple years now and the hygienists are very nice, but Dr. Kirshbaum is not very patient or kind with children, which seems a bit odd for a pediatric dentist. I've put up with it because the hygienists have done the cleaning most of the time, but today Dr. Kirshbaum did the cleaning and he was very rough with my son who is not a child who complains a lot. My 6 year old son told him he was grabbing his face too tightly, and the Dr. just barked at him to stay still. He kept pulling my sons head roughly and when my son had moments of gagging or needing to turn his head for a moment (hey, it happens) he didn't give him a moment, he just impatiently grabbed his head and pulled it back toward him and barked at him again to let him finish. He also told me to move away from the chair and the second time asked me to leave altogether (as if I was the one making my son uncomfortable, LOL!). At that point, I told him I would not leave my son alone there and to please just finish up so we could leave. On the way out, my son kept asking me why the dentist kept gagging him...that says it all I guess. Now I just feel like a bad mom for putting my kid through that. But I won't again. Horrible service!!!! Do not take your kids there, the staff (Mojgan Bral) and (Mona Khalighi) needless to say are very unprofessional and courteous only when you do what they ask you to do to your kid. My experience with this facility was very bad since the only option given to me was to completely sedate my daughter, I felt nervous and full of doubt that I decided to cancel the appointment for the sedation which had been scheduled that same date for the following morning. The facility charge me for the procedure and Mona told me that I wouldn't be getting refunded simply because I decided to cancel my appointment and had decided to not go through the procedure without a second opinion. She went so far as to tell me that I had cancelled my appointment the day of the procedure which is completely untrue. Luckily I had a voice-mail from her saved in my cell phone to prove that she had actually called me the day before to find out on the reasons behind my cancellation. Never again will I take my kid there, she has Dr. Dove now which is GREAT!!!!. This facility well at least these two individuals don't care to lose customers, but what they don't know is that if they don't take care of their customers they will be out of a job sooner or later. I wish them well and hopefully they can use the money they took from a single mother to take a training in Customer Service. read more

Do NOT take your children to this office - if they dare to make a peep Dr. Kirshbaum will sternly tell them to stop acting like a baby. They will bully you into unnecessary extractions and treatments and make you feel like a horrible parent if you don't immediately schedule it. They are as aggressive as telemarketers and will hound you to come in when it is time for a checkup. The staff has made an error with my insurance yet ultimately it is my responsibility so I have to pay them for services, despite objecting at the time and being assured it would be alright. It would cost more to take them to court to prove I am right so I will pay...but learn from my mistake and DO NOT GO THERE!! read more

I am an Assistant Professor at USC School of Medicine and as you would expect as a doctor I have been averse to going into the Dentist for basically my whole life. I found Dr. Kirshbaum's office from word of mouth and basically struck gold. The particular dentist that took care of me is Dr. Mae Aghili. I researched her and found out that she mostly takes care of children. Having worked with children though, I have noticed that medical and dental professionals who work with children have much better techniques in pain control and being gentle. So I decided to see Dr. Aghili. Let me tell you, my mouth was a disaster when I saw her. I have neglected my teeth for so many years because I work long hours and barely have time for myself. She took out 4 cavities and did 4 fillings and I felt no pain and was done in an hour and a half. She also did a deep cleaning and her work is amazing. I will recommend every man, woman, and child in the greater Los Angeles area to come to her. She is beyond spectacular. I have found my dentist for life and now take my sister, mother, and friends to her. By far she is the best dentist I have ever had and probably one of the best if not the best dentist in Los Angeles. read more
