I really love fashion cents! Most of the staff is very nice and helpful. Sometimes I feel they get in the way of shoppers while constantly putting out new stuff which I get 100% is the only way you move product but, occasionally a few of the staff has been very rude and pushy while your trying to shop. I feel the store is very crammed and sometimes hard to fit a cart through which is not convenient when you have children you can't just park the cart and walk down an aisle. The kitchen items and shoes is particularly rough which cart to aisle spacing. Most items I feel are priced reasonably other items I feel are marked up too much for condition. As for the consignment end of things I feel they really pick and choose who they want to consign items with which to me is not very fair I feel like every consigner should be treated the same. I'm giving five stars because overall it's a great store. I just feel like there's definitely some things they should improve on. Parking has definitely gotten better that used to be atrocious. read more

Service was adequate. I only took things there to sell. All were clean and ironed...I took many pairs of Coldwater Creek pants which were only worn once or twice; I could no longer wear the size(8). The styles are still being sold in the catalogue, but despite this, none of them were accepted. I was disappointed by this, and thought I traveled quite a distance for nothing. They did keep a few items to sell. I had to go back and pick up what wasn't sold...they wouldn't donate it! I did a quick walk thru the shop, and decided I would not buy there. There is always an issue consigning here. Again, I had brand new items REFUSED. Sign said 25 minute wait, I waited well over an hour!! Items in store not as nice, modern or clean as what I brought back home. Great example: I bought a Tupperware container and got to the car and the entire corner of the lid is broken and a piece missing. Admittedly my fault for not looking closer but how on earth did this get consigned???? Consigning Center employees need trained or monitored closer. Yes, I could take my broken Tupperware back for store credit but I'm not. You know why??? I'm not going back!! read more

Do not waste your time going to this location. The building is so small and there is way to much stuff. I had my daughter with me for a girls shopping day and I asked her to stay close to the racks because the place was so full and people where trying to shop and one of the rude employees told her not to hang on the clothing (which she was not doing she was just standing very close to stay out of the way). I have visited there other 2 locations and they are by far nicer and have nicer staff. Dont wast your day going here. read more

On numerous occasions I have taken items to consign that are new with tags and are from mid-level stores (Ralph Lauren, Lilly Pulitzer, Anne Klein, Calvin Klein) and items have been rejected. When shopping, I see items for sale that are faded, have "pills" on the fabric etc. that look horrible. I don't get it. I also think that the store caters to teenagers and 20-somethings rather than those of us who are more mature in age. Very disappointing. read more

Overall they have a huge selection of clothing, household items, toys, and bits and baubles. Most items are priced fairly and the staff is very nice. The store has definitely outgrown itself and can be crowded often. They should move into the old Wiley's or a bigger building in town. Parking is terrible. I wish I had checked Yelp before I tried to visit this store! I am in the area from out of town, and this store's website and Facebook page looked great--I was looking forward to buying some things for my toddler and my baby that's due in February. (There are many reasons I'd like to avoid getting or spreading COVID-19, and being pregnant is only one of them.) I parked, put my mask on, got out of the car, and looked through the windows in the front of the store. I saw one employee wearing a mask and one patron. The place was packed--there were at least 30 people I could see, just from the sidewalk. Needless to say, I did not go in. This is irresponsible and a danger to public health. Businesses like Fashion Cents are one of the reasons the United States is doing worse in this pandemic than any other developed country on the planet. The whole ~*~personal freedom~*~ argument against masks is indefensibly selfish. My 2-year-old wears a mask without a fuss. Grow up and do your part to protect other people from your germs. I'd like to thank Fashion Cents for inspiring me to see if there's any way to report a business that's blatantly disregarding the state mask mandate, and behold, there is! Fellow Yelpers who are upset about this, Google the PA Department of Health's COVID-19 Complaint Form, and use it. I had to visit the local Walmart earlier today and everyone there, employees and patrons, was masked. I have consigned and shopped here for years, went in today for the first time since Covid and was surprised to see no visible measures taking place to maintain safety. None of the employees or customers wore masks, nobody was sanitizing carts or surfaces. Nothing. The owner made a big deal in the news a few months ago about how they should be able to safely open if the big box stores get to, but clearly they are not willing to make the effort target and walmart are making. So it's a crowded space full of used clothing and no safety measures. I wish I could say otherwise but I am going to need to find a new consignment store. read more

One employee (out of a dozen or so) seems to be taking COVID somewhat seriously. No social distancing being followed, very few employees wearing masks, no disinfectant visible. is my favorite place thrift i do find lots of great things! However, I'm only giving them three stars because their consignment part has gone way down. They are extremely picky, and when I look through the store, I still find crappy stuff they selling. and I always bring good things clean things and sometimes even brand new and they're still not excepting it. Twice they have rejected some nice clothes I tried to consign them. I'm quite sure someone would've liked but oh well! I will never bring my stuff to them again . My favorite place to visit once or twice a week. Dare I call it my happy place? My husband would roll his eyes. But I'm a sucker for good deals on brand new/gently used items. The store is clean. The staff is kind. There's always tons of new stuff every time I go. I felt inclined to write a review because I hated reading all the one star reviews on here with their only complaint being that "the staff wasn't wearing masks". Personally, I've happily supported this business throughout the past 2+ years largely because they respected my right to breathe fresh air while shopping. I just recently visited this store and was rather impressed with how big the store actually was and the variety of things they carried! The store is well organized as they carry baby clothes, children's clothes, women's clothes, men's clothes, and toys. The prices on the tags start at once price and the longer the item is there the cheaper the item is and that is listed on the tag which is nice. All clothes are in amazing shape and I was told they are thoroughly looked through before being placed in the store. This store also takes used clothing and will sell it for you, they have a strict guideline that you must follow when bringing in clothes you would like to sell. Their rules are listed on their Facebook page but a few I remember are they will not take clothes that are in trash bags, they must be nicely folded and placed in boxes or bins, and if there are any outfits they must be folded and placed together. I did end up buying clothes for my 10 month old and a few toys which were in great shape and I got them for a steal! I did not get to thoroughly look through the store as I went on a Saturday and it was super crowded and it was hard to get through everyone to look through all the racks. I am planning on selling some of my sons baby clothes through this store so I will update my review after I have gone through the whole process of selling! read more

This store has some good finds. With the pandemic going on none of the staff or customers wear masks. Just goes to show the owner is very selfish and putting other people's lives at risk. I get she wants her staff to have the choice to wear a mask or not. Great that's on them but, for the customers not to be wearing masks. Come on! Every store you have to wear a mask or some type of face covering. TBH People don't know where these items and clothing has come from before. I didn't even see disinfectant at the counter. I was here when COVID started and they were spraying the counters every time someone checked out. I don't know what happen to doing that. Staff seems very unhelpful and unfriendly in the store. My go-to place for baby and kids items! You can find so many gently used clothes and toys. I've consigned several things over the years and used my earnings toward my purchases. I don't shop much in the women's section because I usually have my littles with me, but I did score a lovely J. Crew sweater. Shopping here is an inexpensive way to freshen up your wardrobe. Their consigning department needs a major overhaul. It's always very busy, and they have you leave your stuff, and then you have to come back that day to see what they wouldn't accept. I took two full bins of name brand items for them to go through. When I checked my account online, someone else's items were in my account, and mine were no where to be found supposedly. I did not go back that same day, but I find it hard to believe that two full bins of very nice stuff were not to their liking, and from what I was told, donated. I called several times, but no luck finding my things. The last call, I was told they'd make it "right", and I was credited $17.00. Most of the things I took were at least double that. So, I guess my point would be that if you have nice things, don't take them there. I won't be returning. read more

BEWARE - THEY LOOSE YOUR ITEMS! Recently took many designer in style clothing with tags still on and all were accepted. After a week of calling to inquire, they were still not on "my account". Really? Called a 4th time then told to "wait a week until they sort this out." I love this consignment shop. I first came here in 2016 to buy maternity clothes and have been coming back ever since - especially whenever ny daughter moves up a size. Their kids clothing selection is AMAZING. I always take home a full bag for the cost of just a couple of items if they'd been brand new - brands such as Carter's! They also carry great selections of toys, kids books, baby equipment such as seats, strollers, bassinets, swings, and larger play items like play kitchens and train tables. They have a good selection of women's clothing, including a large section of LuLaRoe! They have shoes, some men's clothes, Thirty-One bags, scarves, home decor, and more! They also have nice changing rooms and a fun, gated play area for kids. I am very happy with their consigning process, as well. I have often gotten a bag of clothes for "free" (used my consigning credit) or brought home a check from my items that sold. It's a much better experience than Plato's Closet, which is where friends and I took our clothes before finding Fashion Cents. read more

I personally feel it is a breath of fresh air to not have to feel obligated to wear a mask while shopping here!! Consigning clothes here is not worth your time. Aside from a few select workers, they are rather rude when taking things and EXTREMELY picky. I tried to drop off a like-new leather jacket (very much still in style and high-end, although from a European brand) and they refused it. It's very frustrating because I only consign things if they are in new or like-new condition but the stuff you see on the racks is not nearly that quality. Shopping here is no better. The racks are so full that you can't simply view a piece of clothing on the rack - you must pull it out and then GOOD LUCK getting it back in if you decide it's not for you! Again, far too frustrating to deal with. There are other consignment and re-uzit shops and Goodwills around - unless you're into tug-of-wars with clothing racks and taking most of your 'hope to consign' pieces home again, this one probably isn't worth your time. read more

This store is fantastic if you want to score some cheap clothes along with a side of COVID-19. They are CLEARLY not taking any type of the mandated precautions related to to COVID-19. None of the employees were wearing masks, no disinfectants were visible, and one employee was openly talking about a family that was in critical care due to COVID-19 while another nearby employee was coughing repeatedly. I am thoroughly disgusted and disappointed that a company with supposed Christian values doesn't demonstrate concern for their customers or the general public. read more

If I wanted overpriced shitty clothes from targets clearance clothing rack then I would drive to target. Used to be great with cheap barely used clothing, now it's like going to targets bargain room. If you would like to avoid getting COVID-19, I would suggest avoiding this business. None of their employees are wearing face masks. When questioned about this, the response I received is "our boss doesn't make us, it's our choice". One employee when further questioned, stated that they had a relative in critical condition with COVID-19 AND YET she was not wearing a mask. Another employee was coughing up a lung within a few feet of customers, again without a mask. No one is maintaining social distance in the store and there are no signs that any kind of disinfecting is being done. It is truly scary that with all the scientific information we have at our disposal that individuals are still choosing to risk their health and the health of others by not taking even the minimal precautions.
